As a December baby, myself, I know those birthdays can be hard! What a sweet little book for any child feeling left out or forgotten on their special day.

This is a cute story about a little girl who thinks no one cares about her. They didn’t care about her new bracelet she made, that her birthday was tomorrow or even just about her in general. I can relate to this because my kids act the same way and think just because one little thing goes wrong that it's the end of the world. We laughed at the part where Reese packs up her stuff to move out to the treehouse. I feel like you aren’t a kid until you do something like try to move out or run away. My son packed his backpack at age 4 to run away and made it about 1 house away before running back. Reese packs her tutu, stuffed animals, books, and fairy wings. This is when she gets the idea, there must be a Birthday Fairy. With her bracelet she makes a wish for the Birthday Fairy to come tonight. I loved seeing the illustration of the parents watching her do this with smirks on their face. When Reese awakens the next morning she sees the fairy came and that everyone remembered her birthday. Just an overall cute book with great illustrations. Perfect for a birthday present for any young child.

A great book for kids to celebrate a birthday, and a unique and fun approach for parents to make their child’s birthday special! Especially fitting for a child with a birthday near a holiday. Love the fairy tails!!

no spreads for electronic books

I’ve got the electronic version, and I read it on an iPad mini. Imagine how tiny each page looks in a spread across a mini iPad. It might work better if you electronic versions are at least 6x9.

Birthday blues

December birthdays can be hard. Will everyone be too busy getting ready for the holidays to remember Reese’s special day? A charming tale.
