It’s spring break in Marchville, and when a hit and run accident leaves a man dead, Kelly and Grandma Iris have another mystery to solve.
Questions pile up: Who was the dead man? What was he hiding? And why was he in Marchville?
Old secrets will come to light as Kelly follows the trail of the March Street Menace.
March Street Menace is the sixth short cozy mystery in the March Street Cozy Mysteries. It has no sex, no gore, and no swearing. It’s a short read, perfect for giving yourself a little treat in between tasks in your busy day.
I enjoyed this book and the only reason it didn't get a five star review is because I wish it could have been longer, so the fun could continue. As it is a short listen I don't think you get to know the characters so well and even though it does work as a standalone or a sample, I would recommend reading the books in order. Having said that the mystery works, there might not be as many suspects as normal but I enjoyed it and liked picking up on the clues. A light hearted mystery with great characters. With spring break in full swing Kelly cuts back her hours in the cafe to concentrate on her art and let the teenagers get extra shifts. When her protege starts turning up late and looking tired, Kelly vows to talk to him. Especially as the number of teenagers going on joyride is increasing. Surely the boy she knows can't be involved in that sort of thing? The a man is killed in a hit and run and Kelly finds herself picking up her investigation hat instead of her paint brush. It doesn't look like it was an accident and she has to work out who the man was and why he was in town before she can find he killer. I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
All the books in this series are entertaining and full of surprises. In March Street Menace, Kelly, and Grandma Iris get involved in finding a solution for several car thefts and a hit and run where someone got murdered and has to be identified. They put their knowledge together with the Police Chief and friend, Maxwell, and soon the culprits are found, and the murder case is solved. The past came back to bite and unfortunately someone died! I received a free copy of this book from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Winter is almost over...hopefully in Marchville. Grandma Iris isn't feeling well, and Kelly is involved in another case. A John Doe is left dead after a hit and run. There has also been a rash of joy riding going on, and Kelly can't imagine who would leave the scene of an accident, even if they were joy riding. I have enjoyed every one of these books in the series, they make me smile. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Grandma Iris is in bed with a cold and her granddaughter Kelly is walking her dog and taking care of her. When she returned home, Grandma's neighbor Shirley called with the news of a hit and run fatality. Grandma sends Kelly to talk to the Police chief Maxwell for information. They begin to investigate but the identity of the victim is unknown. Can they find out his identity and catch the killer?
I am volunteeringly reviewing this book after receiving it free from the author.
This is a short cozy mystery with Kelly, Grandma Iris and Buddy. There are some joy rides and a hit and run. It is fun to see how Kelly figures this one out while Grandma Iris is sick. I love the ending. I love the wit throughout. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
When a crime spree progresses from stolen cars to murder, Kelly and Grandma Iris are on the case. The short books in this series pack a lot of mystery into a small package! Interesting characters, a great plot and fine storytelling. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a voluntary, unbiased review.
Marchville has had a bunch of stolen cars due to joy riding and now they have a hit and run. Thru good investigating will our heroes discover who did both deeds?
Kelly and Grandma are on the job again. This time there’s a murder that needs to be solved. Suspense and fast paced to keep you guessing what could happen next.
I Loved these 6 Books. I hope Estelle Richards adds more Books to this Series. I didn't want it to End. I wanted Maxwell & Kelly would reunite & Get Married. More of this Series Please Ms . Richards. Great Writing.
Grandma Iris shares her keen memory of the past with grand daughter Kelly and Police Chief Maxwell to solve a hit and run death. So many questions about the deceased, who was he, why was he killed? I love this author!
A spate of joy riding plagued Marchville, which ended in a hit and run. The victim? A John Doe, which was well unusual in a small town like Marchville. Grandma Iris, laid up in bed with a bad cold, is not amused that Shirley, her gossip competitor has more information on this than she did and was determined that Kelly and her dug around for the insider scope. Maxwell, the police chief and Kelly’s ex is not adverse to this as Kelly had often been a great source of help.
A short fun mystery, well written and enjoyable to read. If you enjoy cosies, you will enjoy this one for sure!
