Larson has returned victorious from his battle with the pirates, but his quest to carve out his place in this new world is far from over. His respite from battle will be a short one as politics, creatures from the deep, pirates, and more will push him, the Sea Venom, and his crew to their limits.
The forces arrayed against Larson are powerful, but he has a few tricks up his sleeve. A lifetime of naval service and a glimmer of knowledge from his old life on Earth will give him a powerful new weapon that just might turn the tide in his favor. With a loyal crew and a ship that is more than it seems, Larson stands ready to face all who stand in his way.
For me this book has some issues with the storyline. The editing was top notch though. Ok so what did I have issues with you ask? Everything just seemed to simple and easy for the mc. Magic artifact ram to improve his ship, gunpowder and cannon. Pistols for his personal use. A base with a dungeon that he captures with little trouble. Defeating what has to be the shortest and easiest dungeon dive ever, but hey no worries they got awesome loot! The entire interaction with the Gnoll leader, oh hey I knocked you down with my shield and you got back up so bring your pals and I will make you marines.
Any of the above could have had more time spent on them, but no it’s rushed over and just handed out to the mc. Could have been something amazing, was much more like a soggy firecracker that just fizzled with a few little sparks.
5/10 A decent read for when you are stuck in the bathroom.

I have loved all the books in this series and loved the series this follows. I like the direction that you have gone and have a fondness of the monsters can be kind story line. I hope the sister has a happy resolution. Mine would breathe fire. Keep up your great work.
Great continuation of the series .. loved the development of the characters , the levelling system is easy to understand and I like how the additional skills are coming through. Overall highly recommend
An enjoyable tale of the sea. My only issue was the lack of nautical dialog. I wish there was a real navy man to narrate the ship battles - I love appropriate jargon & tactics.
I’m excited about the prospect of trade and kingdom building in this series.
A series set in the same world as Limitless Lands, and with some references to that series in generally unimportant ways (you don't really miss anything except a bit of the larger world backstory), that are still fun to hit.
There was a reference to part 3 coming out in "Fall 2022", which, yeah, that's more than a year ago and there's an entirely new series (mythica) that's started since then. I'm not sure I have much hope of more to come in this series. We'll see. I follow the author on Amazon so if there is ever a book 3, I'll get an email about it.
Larson and his crew keep growing and completing various quests but they and everybody else are blind to just how powerful the pirates and their corrupt supporters are and that ignorance will be their undoing.
Oh how disappointing to find there is not a book 3 yet. I have really enjoyed reading this series, staying up until 3am to finish reading. Hopefully another book is coming soon. Now to cats core.
One of the best world builders in the genre continues hush nautical take on litrpg . Great action and characters combine to make this an excellent read.
I’m too old to be a gamer and the frequent status updates are boring to me. But, I’m enjoying the characters and the world the author created. Will continue
