Baby Loves Visiting

There are so many exciting places to go in Baby's world. There's the supermarket, the park, and his big sister's school. Baby has friends in all these places, and they all love to see him, even though he can create quite a stir. Baby Loves Visiting is the follow-up to the popular Baby Loves and Baby Loves Hugs and Kisses. Michael Lawrence began his career as a graphic designer and photographer, but in time became the author of a great many books for children of various ages. Adrian Reynolds has illustrated a number of children picture books including DK's Silly Goose and Daft Duck Play Hide-And-Seek.

The concept is something our toddlers should understand, though I wonder how well I will be able to read and convey it. The illustrations will hopefully help with that. Of course, I tend to get the younger side of the group. But a better choice than nothing!

4/27/10 & 4/29/10 & 5/3/10 & 5/5/10: This wasn't so great of a choice. The older kids in the groups did not like reading about a baby (you could see it on their faces) and the very young ones really had no clue. I tried a few actions, and a few questions, but neither really worked. I suppose this would be better as a lap-read when children are first making connections of what's going on around them and you can have the one-on-one focus with the child.
