This book was five stars, hands down. I really liked how the author tells the reader about Austin, TX and really explains what Austin is known for. Austin has a motto that says “keep Austin weird”. I’ve never heard of that, but found that very interesting. I love the pictures that are at the end of each chapters. If you are a pastor or a leader, I feel like you could get so many tips from this book. You could tell how much the author cared about the people he pastored and how hard it was to transition into his new role.

Excellent book about how Rev. David Bernard went to the city of Austin, Texas, and established a very large church that had multiple ethnic groups in their congregation.

Bro. Bernard is one of my favorite authors. I’d recommend this book to anyone interested in a very detailed account of revival and church planting!
