I checked this out just for some more insight on tic disorders. This book seems like it might be most helpful for parents who have kids with TS and have little understanding about it. This will give you detailed information about TS and affiliated "illnesses of the mind", as well as resources for more information and help for sufferers. I would not categorize this book as "self help", but merely an educational guidebook on a currently incurable disorder; its complexities and origins still something which we do not fully comprehend, but perhaps will one day in the future.
