I read this in hopes of learning more about the mechanisms of food - how you can use the priniciples of food components and how they break down, to eat better and feel more satisfied. While the book was interesting, it felt like it was lacking something. And I couldn't help but feel that it was one woman's perspective on food, rather than factually based nutrition information. She doesn't like brown rice...and she repeats that probably 5 times - WHO CARES!
