Joan Enockson is an educator, musician, and author of children's books. Her books address social-emotional needs, friendship, problem-solving skills, citizenship, and patriotism.

She has experience teaching children of all ages in the public school system and strives to write in a style that intrigues young readers.

Joan holds an Associates degree in Office Administration, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education specializing in Music, a Masters degree in Vocal Performance, and an endorsement to teach Talented And Gifted students.

Her stories are full of adventure and include life lessons that support 21st Century skills.

Loved this book for children, I loved the story and illustrations that come with it, bonus is that it’s in large print which makes it easier for a child to learn to read/ to be read by someone if their eye sight is not good for example.

This book teaches them not to give up and to help others in need if you see them struggle.

Sid who is a determined snail dreams of flying so high in the sky like his friends who live in the forest which include the cricket, bunny and the bee. But no matter how hard he tries his heavy shell weighs him down, he soon meets a friendly frog who teaches him to love and accept who he truly is meant to be and accept that somethings are impossible to achieve but on the other hand with sheer determination you can achieve your goal if it’s something you want to do, also to never give up.

Here is a delightful story for young children, complete with charming illustrations. It radiates an optimistic outlook that inspires children to appreciate themselves as they are while pursuing their dreams and finding ways to realize them. Additionally, the vocabulary is perfectly suited for early readers. Five stars!

Spanish!

Great to teach your little one Spanish and learn yourself. Appreciate that it was in Spanish for the native speakers. Very fun and clever.

During his adventure, Sid meets a rabbit, cricket, and bee. Each page has colorful illustrations. This would make a great gift for non-Spanish-speaking children and adults.

We were privileged to see an advance copy of this book and found it to be everything that young children find attractive in a book. The font style is large and easy to read and the stunning images are so bright and colorful. The story is inspiring with a lesson about learning to be yourself. Add to this that it is also printed in a Spanish language version that makes it so inclusive. This is the first published work by this author and we look forward to many more titles in the near future. Our store was selected as a retailer for this book which makes us proud to offer such good work from a local author.
