This was not a bad read. No real issues with the DDlg aspect either. It was ok.

My real issue had to do with the lack of details. Admittedly, it was sort of explained later in the book, but as a reader, I was clueless until then.

How did Zoey end up in the wilds of Colorado? How did she manage to get lost? How long exactly had she been lost? It was mentioned that she was filthy. Based on the fact that she was a beauty queen (already thin), she was living on berries, wandering aimlessly through the woods, shouldn't she have been a lot thinner? Her mother never reported her as missing? What's up with that?

Also, what was the age difference between Zoey and Wilder? I know she was 19. How old was Wilder?

Was there any explanation about what happened to Jack and the Sheriff? Was Jack the person Wilder had not been able to capture in order to close out his investigation?

Zoey trying to protect someone by not telling them what was going on was irritating. That is not the books issue, it is my own pet peeve. I hate it when I read about an ADULT character not divulging information in order to protect another ADULT.

I know my questions don't have much to do with the trope of the book, but these were the things crossing my mind as a read. The book ends in an HEA for Wilder and Zoe, so I guess that is what matters most.

I've read a few of Lucky's books and this one is by far my favorite! Zoey was on the run surviving in the wilderness. While in the woods she twists her ankle, trying to find help she comes across a cabin. The cabin is owned by Wilder, a retired detective who couldn't solve the murder of a young woman and it haunts him. He takes Zoey in and nurses her back to health. While she's healing Wilder tells her he's a daddy dom and she confesses that she is a little. After camping they come back to the cabin and find that the people searching for Zoey have found her, so they go on the run. Who is chasing Zoey and what for? There are twists in the story that will keep you engaged. The chemistry between Wilder and Zoey is apparent and they have a great relationship. I loved the surprise in the chair at the end! 🐻.

Zoey is in hiding from her controlling mother and from a man who wants to use her. She has gone to hide in the Mountains and got lost. She has been trying to survive with her teddy bear on her own for several weeks in the mountainous woods. She is getting desperate and hikes up the mountain to look for help. In an accident, she falls part way down the mountain hurting her hand and leg. When she lands, she sees a small cabin a few yards away. She drags herself over to the cabin but it is locked up. She passes out in front of the door. She wakes up tied to the bed inside the cabin where knives are mounted on the walls. When a big mountain man comes up to her, she is terrified but Wilder was just there to help her. He tied her down because she kept trying to sleepwalk. As Zoey gets to know Wilder better, she starts to fall for the Daddy dom. However she won't tell him her secrets because she wants to protect him.

Wilder used to be a sheriffs deputy who was working on an important kidnapping and serial murder case. When he finds out his co-workers, including his dad were on the take, he quits in disgust. He moves away to the mountains to get away from everybody. Then one day he finds a beautiful woman hurt and unconscious at his door. She brings out the protective Daddy in him. As he gets to know Zoey, he learns that her mother forced her to compete in beauty pageants so she had very little chance to actually be a child. That is why she is happy to have a Daddy to watch over her.

Zoey was hiding out in the Rockie Mountains from a bad person to the point, she had actually lost her way. In the process of trying to find her way out, she found Wilder's cabin where he came across her passed out on his porch unconscious. She was malnourished, dehydrated, and hurt from an earlier fall. She was in serious need of some TLC. Wilder felt an immediate attraction with a protective streak. When Zoey first came to, she was not sure what to think of Wilder as he was a huge bear of a man. Plus, he had tied her to the bed. Claiming she would sleep walk, and he was afraid she would hurt herself. They both ended up having more in common than they ever thought possible as it turned out with them being from Pennsylvania. Wilder landed in the Rockie Mountains, when he discovered the Sheriff's Department including the Sheriff his father were mostly corrupt where he worked. He was so disillusioned, he could not stand to be around them any longer. Years later Wilder was still trying to solve the last case he worked on. A slow burn story that will play everything close to the cuff only giving a little information at a time for the mystery and added suspense. You will not believe the ending. One not to be missed.

OMG! This was one hot book,the story was written well by the author Lucky Moon and the characters were fantastic. Zoe is a Little that is on the run and in hiding when she received a message. She was going through the woods eating red berries when she hurt her leg she was so tired when she found a little house she tried to get in but had no strength. Wilder loves where he lives no-one was close to where he lives, he was an ex Sheriff and a Daddy Dom. He was coming home when he seen the little body laying down on his porch, he took her inside when he noticed she was so weak and frail so he looked after her until she was awake. She missed her teddy Mr Pickles so he made her a little doll so she named him Cornelius, the chemistry between them was hot and spicy, he liked his kink to make it more spicy. I was so mesmerised with this story I absolutely loved it, if you like the hot kink between a Little and her Daddy I recommend reading this story I loved it I believe you would too.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Zoey had a life that she didn't want. When she made a mistake it tied her to a very bad man. She had no choice, so she ran. After being on her own for while she is in bad shape when she comes across Wilder's cabin. He had been living in isolation after giving up fighting against the bad guys. He knows that she is someone special from the beginning. Zoey's Little side begins to show under his care. The situation is more than complicated. These two are tied in ways that they couldn't have imagined. There were a lot of questions for me at the beginning of this book. The details were a little confusing but straightened out before long. The story is full of twists and turns. I seemed to get more caught up in them than the DDlg romance between Wilder and Zoey. I liked where Lucky was taking this story but the flow seemed a little off in the beginning for me. I really liked how it tied into some of the other couples from Lucky's books. It's always good to have friends like that.

3.5 stars. Not a bad read.

This is the first time I have read anything from this author and the story was pretty goo. There was lots of steamy, hot romance and suspense. I enjoyed the storyline quite a bit. I did however have some issues and it was more with small missing pieces within the storyline. Nothing major, but for the type of reader I am, they bothered me. IE - how did she end up in the mountains of Colorado? It wasn't fully explained, but rather it was a glossed over fact. At one point Zoey spontaneously takes a car and drives across the country. How did she get all that way with no wallet to buy gas? And And at the end it talked about Wilder having a day off - a day off from what? Little things like that. Do these things distract from the storyline? I guess it is all in how you read the book. For me, it is those little things that seem to stick out and stay with me. That is the only reason I downgraded this book to a 3.5 from a 4. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable read.

Wow, this story has a little bit of everything starting off with a young woman lost in the mountains of Colorado while trying to run away from her beauty pageant life, her money grabbing mother and a crazed stalker. As Zoey is just about to give up all hope she literally stumbles upon an apparently abandoned cabin. Wilder is also running away of sorts, leaving behind his life as a deputy sheriff in part due to burn out, in part due to the corruption in his own force and in part to get way from his disturbingly dysfunctional family. Turns out the cabin is Wilder’s and he becomes Zoey’s rescuer both physically and spiritually. He is the perfect Daddy Dom to her little. Lots of good intriguing plot twists keep this story moving along at a quick pace and the Daddy/little relationship is sweet and tender whilst still full of discipline and erotic sex. Really well written, really sexy and a really enjoyable read. 5 Stars

This is the first book I've read by Lucky Moon so I had no idea what to expect as far as her world-building, her characters, or her writing style. As the story starts we find Zoey running through mountains somewhere worried about someone catching her. She's hungry, exhausted, and filthy, her clothes are torn up. Just as she's ready to give up she spots a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Knocking and finding no one home, she writes SOS in the dirt before passing out. Wilder had left the city five years ago and lived completely off the grid up in the Colorado Mountains. When he came home he found a beautiful young lady unconscious lying in the dirt outside his front door. This is a DD/lg with a May to December slow bun romance filled with angst, danger, light BDSM scenes, and love. It wasn't necessarily intense but it was enough to build the anticipation. It made for a good addition to the series "Stateside Doms" series.

She goes to climb higher so she can look for help when she realizes she left her stuffy behind. Its not long after that she falls and gets hurt. She finds a cabin and breaks into to stay warm and hopes for help. Wilder finds her in the cabin and starts taking care of her. He has no idea how she came to be there but she brings out the Daddy in him and he wants to protect her. Will Zoey find a Daddy to take care of her? Will Wilder figure out who is after her?

This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Zoey ran away from her life of a controlling mother, beauty pageants and a stalker to the wilds of the Rocky Mountains. Zoe had no childhood due to her mother schlepping her all over the country chasing beauty pageants and confiscating her winnings so she is a Little the age of 6 or 7. She hurt her ankle and happens to stumble upon what she thinks is in the band in cabin and just wants to rest for a while but ends up passing out. Wilder discovers a young woman in dire straits passed out outside of his cabin and helps her inside. He helps her recover and over the next few weeks they slowly develop feelings for each other. He is a Daddy but every time he broaches the subject of her being a Little she flips out on him. I love the way this author pulls the residences of Liberty into this story. Will Wilder make Zoey his forever Little?

I liked this Daddy and little story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Zoey was on the run from a life that she didn't want. Wilder had withdrawn from society and was living in a cabin in the woods. Zoey found Wilder's cabin while he was out and she ended up collapsing on his porch. Wilder started taking care of Zoey and as he did so, he discovered that she was a little. Their relationship was give and take with both of them doing both. I liked how the story ended although I do wish there was an epilogue. I recommend reading this book.

I absolutely loved reading this story I remember reading about Wilder in the previous story about Hayes and winter in the liberty town. Wilder is in the mountains of Colorado in the Rockies where he comes back to his cabin and discovers an unconscious Zoey. He helps Zoey recover after being lost in the mountains for over a month and slowly but surely a romance develops between the two of them and they go towards their happily ever after. There’s a lot more to the story but you’re going to have to read it to enjoy it for yourself.

This was a fun ageplay to read. Wilder has become like a hermit and stays in the woods. He finds Zoey passed out in front of his cabin and he brings her in to bring her back to health. I liked the romance and the steamy bits. But, and this might just be me, the little details that weren't explained bugged me. How did Zoey become lost in the woods? What exactly causes Wilder to hide in the forest? my big one, how does Zoey steal a car and then drive it across the country without any money? Is this a magical car? Other than those things, this is a good DD/lg book.

I really enjoyed this story. It has some danger, suspense and family drama. Engaging, strong characters with interesting histories. Both sweet and really s*xy makes for a great read.
Zoey is lost in the woods. Running from danger she is at the end of her strength. Wilder wants solitude after leaving his job because of others corruption. When he finds her passed out at his cabin both of their lives will be changed. They have a dangerous connection they never imagined. Can the beauty queen and former deputy survive and have a future together?.

Zoey is lost in the mountains after fleeing for her life. She's desperate when she finds Wilder's cabin. He nurses her back to health and discovers she is a Little. That works out because he is of course a Daddy Dom. Frequent typos early in the book, switching between her and him incorrectly, made it difficult to stay in the story. Those got better but did impact my rating. He is dominant, stern and protective but I can only give this 4 stars. The action at the end saved it from 3.5 stars.

Wilder and Zoey forge a relationship under strained circumstances but he trust bulds as do the feelings. They come from different world but the mountain wilderness and serenity draws them closer. Unfortunately the past comes calling and they're forced to run. Someone is after one of thembut it's not clear who until they come face to face with both of their pasts.

This is a well written wild ride in a full and entertaining story. I enjoyed the way it was written, not too heavy on unnecessary detail. I loved sweet lost Zoey. Gnarled bowes

The bit of the story that was just Wilder and Zoey was good. I enjoyed their chemistry and then finding and exploring each other. The outside characters gnarled the story up for me. It was a messy bow tie cleaning up that just didn't sit right right.
