This is my first book by Sue Grafton and I did enjoy it. But I have a question and for those who have read it, I'd sure like to know something. Spoiler alert for those who have not read this yet. So, I understand Charlie killing Sharon and Libby, but there was no reason that I can see for him to kill Gwen. Why? She had no idea of his connection to Libby or Sharon nor any knowledge of him embezzling funds. So this part of the book made no sense to me. Did I miss something?

" I still think about Charlie. I never wanted to kill anyone. I had to do it. But maybe Gwen would have said that. And maybe Charlie would have said that too."

Recently, I like detective series books. I did not finish reading the book, so I can not find a criminal. I guess who is a criminal. I am looking forward to reading.

I like the very end of the story - if Kinsey's idea was right or not- and then she found out she was right.
