Elouise East writes sweet and steamy connections in gay romance. She also touches on taboo stories under the name Elouise R East.
Books that tell the stories where friendship and family are the focal point - be it blood family or chosen - are very important to her. That’s why she includes a variety of personalities, talents, ages, situations and abilities as she believes a story or character needs. She wants her characters to be real, to be relatable, to be free to have whatever views they tell her they have. And trust her, most of the time, she does not have any say in the matter!
Her characters come to life on the page for her as well as her readers. Their stories unfold in front of her as she writes, and she has very little input into how they want to be shown. Just like real life, the lives of her characters change with every choice, every interaction and every conversation. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
She writes books that are emotionally realistic, even if liberties are taken with other aspects of the stories. She doesn’t know any other way to write. It comes from deep inside.

2.5 Stars ~ There are things I liked about this story, things I didn’t, and things that made me scratch my head in confusion or shake it in frustration and “wtf”. Sorry this doesn’t make a lot of sense but there were many parts of this tale which didn’t as well.
I was given a free arc copy from the author for review.
Eric is a famous actor home for a wedding when he meets Sam who is a lawyer and older than him. Sam despite his age is a mess on the inside from being overworked and having to work with the man his ex cheated on him with and also deal with his ex who is constantly there so they can both gang up on him with harassment. Sam is such a mess that Eric instantly sees it and steps in. Sam doesn't known about age play and that he screams little on the inside. This allows for a nice slow burn.
This book is sweet, sexy and fun with medium heat and low angst. I loved both the main characters and they were a cute couple with great chemistry. I enjoyed that the Daddy was younger than the little for a change. The overall plot was great and it kept my interest from start to finish. I had to take off a star for 2 reasons. First, there's multiple other characters that are so obnoxious esp the ex in particular. Second, there's a drama moment that could have been avoided with communication and more effort. I felt like the Daddy dropped the ball big time. I have read plenty Daddy books where they were long distance and they were handled well. I don't really think there's an excuse for what he did even given his famous actor circumstances. The excuse he did give was the worse excuse IMO. Trying not to give details and spoiler it. I do love how it concluded though.
Love Scene is book 7 in the Crush series, but it can be read as a standalone, which is what I did. There are a lot of cameos from characters from the previous books, but Ms. East posted a nifty character list at the start of the book, which was very helpful to understand who was who.
Eric is an A-list movie star, disenchanted with being a celebrity, especially since he wants a boy to care for, something that is not possible with his career. Samuel is a family lawyer, stressed with work and his cheating ex-husband who keeps harassing him. Samuel and Eric shouldn't work. Eric hates lawyers and Samuel is older than him and has no clue about Daddies and their little boys, but Eric can see something in Samuel, and after they experiment a little, it's obvious they belong together. However, Eric is in the middle of filming a movie and he might not be able to be with Samuel when he needs him the most.
Okay, so this is reverse Daddy/little, in the sense that Samuel—the little—is older than Eric. There's a big age gap between them, and Samuel has no clue what he's getting into, but takes to it like a duck to the water. They're just so adorable together and as often happens in this kind of relationship, it progresses fairly quickly.
I really liked Eric and Samuel, and most of the other characters we meet, especially Maggie, Samuel's assistant, who is amazing. I hated Milton, Samuel's ex, and Gregory, Samuel's coworker and the guy Milton cheated on Samuel with.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read, sweet, hot, and with enough angst to keep things interesting. Recommendable!

Love Scene is the eighth book in the Crush series by Elouise East. I'm not familiar with all of the earlier books in the series. It seems that the books are best read in order. That said, I still enjoyed it as a standalone.
This one starts off quickly, with a opening. This club moment is a sweet and tender age play scene, which help to set the stage for what Eric needs.
Sam and Eric's story is a wonderful one. Both men have some external issues to deal with.
Sam has to deal with working with his ex and a big family secret.
Eric's looking to retire from his acting career, hoping to be a full time Daddy to Sam. He's done with the environment of acting and wants something better for himself.
I enjoy it all. Oh love I love seeing the character development of Sam. I even found myself cheering him on. And best of all, it's Eric that helps Sam, by giving him the peace of mind and escape that he needs.
And, oh my, they are so great together.
Written in alternating third person pov, both men's feelings and emotions are felt throughout. The characters are well developed and their storyline is multi-layered. There are a lot of enjoyable secondary characters, and plenty of ups and downs for these two.
Love Scene is a great read. I just adore age play and this one is pure delight. Elouise East has me delighted with this gem.
Lawyer Samuel enjoys being one so that he can help people, but he is under a huge amount of stress and his cheating ex-husband keeps bothering him at work most days. Actor Eric has a lot on his plate, but when he finds a Little who needs him he just can't help but step in. Giving Samuel the experience of having a Daddy gives Eric more pleasure than anything. When Eric needs to return to a job abroad he has a predicament as it leaves Samuel without a Daddy to care for him. It goes against Eric's instincts, but he believes Samuel when he says that he is fine. However, doing that is wrong and there will be a wave that will ripple through both of their lives and will cause one to make the ultimate sacrifice.
I really enjoyed this story with the stresses that surrounded Samuel, the stresses that surrounded Eric, their beautiful relationship and the explosion of emotions that culminated in their change in circumstances. It was interesting to explore their emotions and feelings in this book and see how they affected the way that they behaved. I loved the purity of their love and the way that they quickly became dependent on each other. Easy to read and understand. There was mature content in this MM story of a BDSM DDLB relationship.
Trigger warnings for some mental health issues, discussions of some “me too” kind of situations, mentions of sibling death, etc. This was okay, but not my favorite from the series. The daddy/little thing was out there for me sometimes. I liked Samuel from when we saw him in previous books, especially since he helped Zak. I didn’t really get the impression he looked down on himself or that he had some issues like anxiety, overworking himself to the point where he had a breakdown, etc.
Eric was introduced a couple books back I think, but didn’t really get to know him much until this book. I liked him overall, but him being with another boy in the beginning was weird. This was a pretty significant age gap (almost 20 years) with Eric being 24 and Samuel being 43. I would have liked to see more of their friends and family. It seemed like Samuel didn’t really have friends outside of the ones within his brother’s group from Crush.
There weren’t too many steamy scenes in this for how long the book was. It was mostly focused on Samuel becoming Sam (little side) more often and then them being separated due to Eric’s job as an actor. I’d probably give this 2.5-3 out of 5 stars.
I enjoyed this story overall. It was very sweet and I loved Sam. I liked getting to see Sam in Little space a lot. I would have liked to read on the page about his becoming friends with Hayden.
I thought it was a bit unnecessary and farfetched for Eric and Sam to sit their families down to tell them about their lifestyle and for their families to be so understanding and accepting. I couldn't help roll my eyes at that. Vanilla people don't have to sit others down and explain the ins and outs of their relationship. So don't see why it would need to be done for kinky folk. Do what you want, you don't need to have a group meeting about it. There are plenty of ways to be Little around friends and family without drawing attention to it or having to explain it. But besides that hyper-fictional aspect in an already fictional story, I liked Eric and Sam together.
Beautiful younger daddy and older boy. Such a rollercoaster of emotions Samuel is a family lawyer who takes on too much work. His ex husband Milton comes into work asking /demanding Samuel to do things him, even though his new partner worked in the law firm, Gregory. Milton left Samuel for Gregory, and they seem to rub it in to Samuel Eric is a movie star, who comes home for a family wedding and meets Samuel. He sees how sad, exhausted Samuel is. They begin a relationship then Eric has to go back to New York to finish filming. Which leads Samuel into a downward spiral. I was unable to put this book down. And finished on a very happy note. Absolutely love their dynamics.

This one before last book in the series was a fun read. The MC, Eric and Samuel, found love, almost lost it and when their relationship was restored, they went into overdrive and by the end, they were well on their way to a HEA. The side characters completed the storyline well, without being overbearing; it was not just a love scene, but a movie about love. I have been enjoying the series and know that Logan’s story will be an entertaining conclusion to the series. ❤️
I’ll admit, I’m not always a fan of age play. It needs to be done well to hold my attention. Eric and Samuel won me over though! Like the others in the series, the characters are just so well-developed and the emotions are brought right to the surface. There is some hurt - especially when Eric needs to leave and finish filming and Samuel struggles to cope. But there is also a beautifully unique relationship full of love and tenderness. Another great couple in the Crush series.
A low angst MM romance,Age gap, age play. Ideally needs to be read in series order for full understanding and maximum enjoyment. Another winner of a story in the series. An unlikely pairing of complete opposites, Eric a successful film actor and Samuel a family lawyer. Page turner and easy to read, wonderful characters to read about.
I enjoy reading about age play and Daddy/littles. This story was unique because of the reverse age gap..Good story--I hadn't read anything else in this series but I was able to keep up and not be distracted by additional characters. Eric was such a caring man at 24--can you imagine what he will be like in 20 years. Definitely recommend
So, this has not been one of my favorite kinks. I never truly understood it. This book has made me think about it. I was amazed at the in depth look it gave me. This is one of those books where you are riveted from the beginning. It was so good. Thank you for this wonderful book.
Love Scene is the eight book in the Crush series by Elouise East. This book is about a younger Daddy, Eric and an older Little, Samuel/Sam. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, fun and very well written. So far my favorite in this series.
Eric and Samuel's story is one I've been waiting for, and it didn't disappoint! I adored that Eric is so attentive and understanding. As for Samuel, his strength at work and around his family, means that time to decompress and just be, is written in a sweet way. Adored it!!
I loved this book,no matter what age you can find love and that’s what happened in this book with a bad ex and a bad coworker Samuel needs all from a new daddy that he didn’t know he needed
Samuel and Eric were such an awesome couple! I loved how the author approached their Daddy / Boy dynamics and how genuine it felt. Another great addition to a series full of brilliant characters. You can read each book as a standalone, but why would you?! Each and every one of them is great!
