I’m a sucker for time travel / morally grey / working from the shadows fics, and this one hits the nail on the head. The deaths and events that feel like injustices in the original books get righted, and it’s incredibly cathartic. It absolutely doesn’t hurt that we get a bit of Remus x Sirius too.
However, it gets -0.25 stars because although the understanding of the time turner is outlined at the beginning, the ending feels a bit deus ex machina. I would’ve appreciated something a touch less straightforward. Additionally, I really did not care for the last couple paragraphs in the epilogue. I figured Theo and Hermione deserved a better epilogue ending than literally just sex and a cheesy “I love you”.
