Social media maven KC Crumb is loving life—until her ex-boyfriend James Carlisle arrives in Beaver Bluff to win her back. She must do whatever it takes to send him packing before he ruins her chances with hunky police officer Antonio Hamson. But when the unpopular owner of the B&B where KC’s ex is staying is skewered during an evening soiree, all eyes turn to James as a suspect.
KC and her friends from Crumb’s Bakery must sort through the suspects who were at the party, including a cagey caterer, an electrician, and a mystery man caught on video. Can KC and the bakery gang figure out who murdered the B&B owner before things get too sticky? Or will the killer stick it to one of them next?
Georgiana Daniels is an author and homeschooling mom, and she’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in library and information science. “Busy” is her middle name, but if she finds a nugget of free time, she enjoys knitting, reading, and fumbling around on the piano to the dismay of others. Though previously published in romance and women’s fiction, she’s dipping an anxious toe into cozy mysteries—because murder and mayhem are so much fun!
This is the first book I've read from Georgiana Daniels. Right away, I loved the cover - a great sign of things to come. The main character, KC, is fearless and spontaneous, getting her comrades in over their heads in a variety of ways. Her mind is as sharp as her wardrobe, and her amateur sleuthing abilities show up despite the fact that KC is determined to maintain a semi-normal existence in her new town with her new business.
This murder is as fun as murders can be, I suppose. And the man bun and mustache leave readers chuckling more than cringing. The story ends with some well-deserved romance and one can't help but pull for KC and her continuing escapades.
Bring on book 4, but not until I backtrack to books 1 and 2. Well done!
K.C. is on hand for yet another local murder! That's where the fun begins. This time the death occurs at a local bed & breakfast and K.C.'s ex-boyfriend and his annoying man bun are on hand to complicate matters - both in regard to the investigation and her budding relationship with police officer Antonio Hansom.
Expect more amateur sleuthing from K.C. and her pals as they uncover all the possible suspects and motivations behind death by a shish kebab skewer. Great addition to a fun series!
Thank you to Georgiana Daniels for sharing an advanced copy of A Crumby Way to Die with me! This cozy mystery series takes place in Beaver Bluff, OR. In this 3rd installment of the KC Crumb mysteries, KC is settling into her life in Beaver Bluff after leaving California (and her ex) behind. Unfortunately, James, KC's ex shows up at Beaver Bluff and complicates everything.
Before KC can send James back to California, a murder occurs at the local B&B, and James is the prime suspect. In order to restore her James-free life, KC and her sweet bunch of besties jump into an investigation to prove his innocence so he can get out of dodge!
I am really enjoying this series. KC and her friends are so entertaining. I love how they support each other and work together. The citizens of Beaver Bluff never disappoint. I got a little annoyed with Officer Hamson at some points, but I will keep rooting for CRUMBSON!!!! I highly recommend giving this series a chance!
Author Georgiana Daniels returns with another entertaining cozy mystery, set in the small town of Beaver Bluff, OR.
In A Crumby Way to Die, KC Crumb enjoys her life in Beaver Bluff, far from her old life in LA until her ex-boyfriend James Carlisle shows up and complicates things. Shortly after his unwelcome arrival, one of the B&B owners is murdered and James is a suspect. KC and her friends are on the case. The sooner James is cleared, the sooner she can send him back to LA and concentrate on her budding relationship with the handsome police officer Antonio Hamsom.
While this book can be read as a standalone, the reader will enjoy being introduced to KS’s quirky friends in the earlier books (Crumbs of Passion, and Crumbs and Punishment). A Crumby Way to Die is a cozy mystery with humor, red herrings, plot twists, and entertaining cast of characters. Polly, KC’s friend, is a delightful sidekick, as are the canine characters of Cujo and Pooh Bear.

Daniels does it again! KC and friends are still the best at what they do-fumbling through all the dangers involved with solving a murder while dealing with other concerns in life-with blind luck, viscous wit, and sometimes unexpected situations. Daniel’s writing is smart, sharp, and funny. Pure fun and enjoyment!
How could there be another murder in Beaver Bluff? Can KC and her gang of sleuths out another killer? This book had me guessing till the end making it a 5/5 for me!
As the series continues, the author continues to let the characters grow and comes up with interesting plot lines to justify so many murders in a small town. KC and her core group are back and quirky and nosey as ever. I’m happy that the author is slowly letting KC and Hamson form a romantic relationship. The plot was interesting, and the writing was humorous and fast moving.
My review is voluntary and all comments and opinions expressed are my own.
A perfect cozy mystery! Loved it from start to finish. Had no idea who the culprit was until KC figured it out... and the plot to reveal the identity? Priceless and very, very clever!
My favorite characters? Polly, Cujo, and Pooh Bear, of course😉
KC and the gang are back in this delightful new installment of Georgiana Daniels' A KC Crumb Mystery series. The story starts with KC enjoying small-town life in Beaver Bluff when her ex-boyfriend, man-bun-wearing James, shows up. He seems intent on wooing back KC, just as she's equally focused on other goals, including jumpstarting her social media marketing business, flirting with police officer, Antonio Hamson, and solving a new mystery- who killed the mysterious Mason Dunn with a shish kebab skewer at the local B&B?
I enjoyed this cozy mystery immensely. It has all the "cozy" hallmarks: an adorable small-town setting, plenty of quirky characters, and a hefty dose of humor. (Case in point: The scene where KC and her friends recreate the murder scene using olives and cheese cubes from a charcuterie board is absolutely hilarious!) The story also features a nice dash of chick lit, with KC sleuthing in her signature high heels and having swoon-worthy run-ins with her crush, Officer Hamson. KC is a likeable, feisty heroine you find yourself rooting for, from page 1 to the mystery's surprising but satisfying conclusion.

This is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone novel. I haven't read the prior books, but this one was such a fun cozy mystery (some of my favorites!) that I am likely to check out the first two.
The diverse characters are quirky and relatable, and it was a blast to sleuth things out with them. KC is a relatable heroine and easy to root for. There are a number of twists and turns that keep the reader turning the pages. And the non-human (Pooh Bear and Cujo) steal the show. Polly is the perfect sidekick that every leading lady needs!
The setting is as charming as the character, and the descriptions are vivid enough to make the reader feel a true part of the story. And you can't help but root for KC and Hamson!
If you enjoy cozy mysteries, this is one to add to your TBR list!

"A Crumby Way to Die" by Georgiana Daniels was a delightful cozy mystery. This is the 3rd book in the KC Crumby Series, but you don't need to read the first two to understand what is going on in this novel. I haven't read the first two. This book has some mystery, some romantic tension and some really cute humor thrown in. I really enjoyed getting to know K.C. and her "sleuth loving" friends. There was also a little twist at the end.
I highly recommend this book if you enjoy good, clean mysteries. I received this book from the author for my honest opinion.
a really wonderful read! I loved the quirky complex characters! Lots of unpredictable twists and turns make this an entertaining page turner! I look forward to reading more by this author! Perfectly wonderful book!
KC Crumb is back in another mystery. This case involves a muder at the bed and breakfast, and KC's ex being the prime suspect in the investigation. This series has been fun from the start. It's great to see how for these characters have come.
