The monster “state” series gets better with every book. The meticulous research and dedication that goes into each volume is clear with each turn of the page. Incredible accounts, eye-witness reports, and legends you’ve heard of - and many more that you won’t have, are documented in full.

From the earliest historical record to modern day, no stone is left unturned. I am loving collecting the series, for both the incredible artwork on each cover to the treasure trove of monster-related mysteries within.

Another great American Monsters book from Weatherly. As usual it is well written with a good variety of cryptids and monsters. Weatherly acknowledges some stories that are clearly exaggerations or flat out made up, but he rightfully (I feel) includes them for the folklore type impact they have.

This book doesn't have quite the variety of odd-ball monsters that some states do, but Weatherly does a great job covering what is reported, and as usual there is a great selection of Bigfoot and water monsters, plus a great section on dogmen/skinwalkers/werewolves.
