Much like all of Smith's books I have reviewed so far, I devoured this in a few days. he not only gives wonderful information about classic Hollywood films, but adds behind the scenes info like who was originally cast to problems on and off set, along with reviews and his own personal take all combines into an easy to read text format.
The films here cover Biblical films, like The Ten Commandments, David and Bathsheba, Solomon and Sheba and rare films like Story of Ruth, along with television versions and novels turned into films like The Robe.
Smith is a wonderful writer and film lover whose passion is seen on the pages as well. His books have been research material for my blog page many times.
