Is a visually rich and faithful retelling of the classic origin story. The tone captures the pulp adventure spirit of the source material, and the artwork is bold, detailed, and full of kinetic energy that suits the raw environment of the jungle setting.

While the story itself follows familiar beats, it does so with respect and style, though it doesn’t take many creative risks or offer fresh insights into the character. It’s a solid introduction, but it may feel a bit too conventional for readers looking for a new take on the legend.

Overall, it’s an enjoyable read for fans of classic adventure tales, elevated by its strong visuals and nostalgic atmosphere.
