Dangers hidden in plain sight. Lies too heavy to bear.
And two opposites who must rise above them.

Despite clashing like fire and ice at the start of their deal, Matt and Jo start to see more in each other. As Jo cuts through Matt’s complex layers, she catches a glimpse of the man beyond his formidable ways and steely walls. And Matt finds himself strangely drawn to the beautifully simple girl that now lives down the hall from him. Just as a bright, new spark ignites between them, their conflicting ideals tear them apart. Whilst battling her guilt and loneliness, and not to mention Matthew’s volatility, Jo stumbles on a new friend and ally.

Hudson is everything Matthew is not. Steady, consistent and caring, he’s warmth and safety personified, and he offers Jo everything she’s ever dreamed of. But, can she ignore the mighty pull that still draws her to Matthew? He’s impossible to push aside, and even harder to ignore.
As Jo finds herself at a crossroads, she must also face new threats from all sides. Matt’s glittering world is brimming with trouble, betrayal, and deceit and will not be easy to survive. Her home is no longer the only thing that Jo stands to lose, if things go south in Rome…her heart is now firmly on the line as well.

See how the next part of Jo’s story plays out in Tempted, the second book in the Tricked series.

Gah, Tricked Series could easily be turned into a movie. It's the way this author writes!

I loved Tricked, but the author stepped up her game in Tempted. This book has everything; emotions, laughter, great characters, witty banter, sizzling chemistry and a little bit of drama. These characters feel like family!

Jo is a wonderful heroine, as she is strong, caring, and very loving. It was wonderful to watch her slowly get out of her shell. And Matt, he grew a heart, lol.

I do not want to give spoilers, only to say that this was a wonderful romance. Tricked Series is not to be missed, as the author has written a fabulous story that pulls all your emotions throughout and tops it with a few twists.

I read this is what? A day and a half?! Super cute, fun, and hilarious. Picking up right after book 1, Matt and Jos relationship will have you on twist and turns.

I absolutely love the authors writing style. Being able to read about multiple POV and different scenes and not getting lost was amazing. It just added details not many people can do.

Loved seeing the character development and just how much Jo grew from the first book! Highly recommend giving this series a chance!

I got an advanced copy of this book and was hesitant to read it because I'm not a big fan of romance or chick-lit as a genre. Im really glad I gave it a shot though. The first book was fun and fast-paced but Tempted...is another beast altogether. The banter and chemistry between the main characters was so thrilling as were all their ups and downs, but I liked the different themes woven into the book the most. I felt there was a strong play on life and death (especially with all of the incidents that happened and that game they played in Rome) but that could be just me. I quite liked how each of Jo's relationships with the other characters developed through the story and how she started to become comfortable being herself and standing her ground whilst sticking up for others. Laila and Helena were the worst, but Natalia remained awesome though a more spoilt side of her also came out in this book (still it wasnt a bad thing). One of my friends was going on about this concept of a book boyfriend the other day and I was like hello! Have you met Matthew Devaro people?!! Flawed but fascinating at the same time! That night on the streets of Rio! His work scenes and the way his brilliance is portrayed all made me really like him despite some of the blah he said and did! Some of his business insights felt authentic, like I almost began to wonder if he is based on a real person!? Oh and Hudson! What's not to like about him!!!! He had me so conflicted. I had a love-hate response to the ending, it was explosive but I was slightly irked at the same time, and it made me wonder about what's going on with Matt and Aditi, is there something there from the past? But the bonus chapters were so cool...I need to know who Enzo is right now!!

This book was so enthralling that it had me staying up until 2am for two nights in a row. I have never felt such strong emotions toward a character before (I’m not going to say who. You’ll know when you read it). I think I was internally screaming (in the best way) for at least a third of the book. R.M.T. Jay does not pull punches when it comes to making the reader feel exactly what she wants them to feel.

Like the first book, this series has such an interesting and fun writing style! I love that it is described as a “tv series” because it truly is. Being able to view scenes that the main character (Jo) isn’t in, is so fun and works so well for the story!

There was also a great character decision regarding intimacy and sex that doesn’t get included in romance books very much. I loved seeing how this subject matter played out and how characters dealt with it! (I think this might have been my favorite topic in the book).

Matt and Jo…my goodness, what a couple. They had me laughing, screaming, smiling, crying, and swooning over and over again. I don’t think I’ve ever written “their silences are so romantic” about any other book couple, but if you read this series, then you will know exactly what I’m talking about. I can’t wait to see what book three has in store for them.

I have pages upon pages of my reactions while reading, but to avoid spoilers I’ll keep them to myself for now. But just know there was a lot of caps lock used.

Thank you so much for the early copy! I enjoyed it immensely and can’t wait for the third book! Instagram: @chicklit_reviews

Tempted picks up right where book 1 left off. The book does a great job of keeping you guessing with its twists and plot turns. Written in multiple viewpoints including a narrator, there is always something different to see. The locations are lavish and detailed about Rome and Rio. Jo is naïve & makes decisions that derail the central plot but Matt is there to bring her back to center. This book in true sequel fashion was longer than the first & seemed to meander a bit. It did have more intrigue & mystery in comparison to book 1. I want a spin off all about Matt’s sister!

Thank you to R.M.T. Jay for the Advanced Copy, this is my honest review.

Glamour, Glory, Influence, and Power: four gems to jewel a crowning story. Be it the dark, sexy Laila or the light, lovely Josephine: who will flame Matthew’s heart?

The book started out a little bit boring, maybe because of the long descriptions and repetitions here and there, but it wasn't so boring where I was like "yup, I'm not gonna continue reading this"... Nope, wasn't like that at all and I'm so happy I didn't stop reading it cuz the story was just absolutely amazing!!!! It got so interesting from the middle and it became easy to read.
Jo and Matt's unfortunate situations made me feel so many emotions, sometimes going from frustration to anger and then to heartache lol... It was just a roller-coaster of emotions and that definitely made me want to know more about what happens in the book.

Now to the side characters. My favorite was definitely Natalia (not surprising lol). She is THE absolute best fake sister-in-law.
Next is of course Hotstuff.... I mean Hudson. He is such a sweetie and a wonderful guy. Because of how he is, I can't decide whether Jo goes for nice and easy Hudson instead of the exciting and amazing Matt. Urgh, this is hard!!!

And omg the ending. It was definitely heartbreaking. I had a feeling the ending will be a plot twist but didn't expect it to end in that way at all. I so can't wait for the next book cuz I really wanna know what happens between Matt, Jo, and Hudson!!!!

This book was way more intense than the last book and I honestly need more.
The first book felt like a nice introduction to the characters and setting but in this book, you get to see so much more.

Jo has grown a lot in this book and is slowly figuring out who she wants to be. Her growth from the previous book is much better, but truthfully as much as I admired it in the first book, I found it a bit annoying. It was until the latter half of the book, I started to like her again.

Matt has improved a lot compared to the first book. Don't get me wrong, in the first half of this book, I wanted to punch him, but as the story develops I found myself actually rooting for him and liking him.

Jo and Matt are a good couple, both of them make each other better and it is evident when they are finally communicating and getting to each other. Both of them care for each other and like each other.
That being said, can a connection made by a trick survive?

In this book, we are introduced to new characters and they push the story forward. I love Nati, she will always be my favourite character.

Honestly, this book was intense and there were times I wanted to throw my kindle, but as the book carried on, the more invested I became and wanted to know more. I cannot wait for the next book!!

Well I thought Jo and Matt drove me nuts in Book One but they took it to a new level in this one.

They still are together and are still circling each other. But for the most part my annoyance is with Matt because I’m typical fashion, he is a stubborn pain the butt. Jo hasn’t changed really and is still to he admired.

Enjoyable book that had some interesting twists. The ending leads into the next one.

After reading the 1st book of Tricked I was eagerly waiting for the continuation. I was extremely exited when I came to know the sequel, Tempted is going to be out. When I read it my expectations were exceeded. How Tempted took me back to the lives of the characters was so mentally soothing you could literally visualise them like in a movie. I must say that this book took me to a beautiful and a realistic world, I felt that I was living the story every step of the way. The feeling was so realistic I was completely drawn to it till the end. I felt so close to the youthful, energetic and very charismatic characters of this series. I encourage everyone to read it, as this beautiful book will most certainly devoid you from the chaotic realities of today's world. I don't want to spoil this master piece for the potential readers. Everyone should experience the unique talents of this author R.M.T Jay.
Please read it you will not regret it.

I enjoyed the first book in the series as it flowed smoothly and immersed me easily into the MC's world. I expected the same smooth and easy experience with the second book, Tempted....but boy was I in for a surprise!

Tempted sees the author level-up on multiple fronts from reader-engrossment to character development to deep plot twists and points of intrigue. I don't want to mention particular names or scenarios so as not to take away from your own reading experience, but believe me when I say that the quality of writing and plot development is above what most indie authors come out with in this genre. Reading this series will not only make you feel like you've joined into the world of a group of people, but are also an accepted person within the MC's universe.

Be aware though, that you will be emotionally tested by the story line.

Where is Book 3, and why hasn't this been made into a tv/movie series yet?

Tempted was a easy read and I really enjoyed reading the book! I got so into the characters in the first series and the story is well written that it makes you feel like you’re with the characters. I was so excited to read the book and glad that I got an opportunity to read the copy in advance.
I highly recommend this book for people who is looking for an exciting light read. ( Don’t forget to read Book1 , Tricked!)

Can’t wait for the next series!!

Was so excited to pick up the second installation of R M T Jay's romance. The cliffhanger in the first book nicely flowed in to a fast paced, sexy second book with all the wit and charm in high gear between Mat and Jo. The hot new characters and spicy plot twists made the read as exciting as the first and I can't wait to see where the tale takes us in Book 3.

Great pacing, fun dialogue and lots of tingly experiences in this one!

Tempted was action packed and my favourite part of this book was when the characters explored Rome more and visited Rio! It was nice to see them immersing themselves in those cultures. Aside from the development of the MCs' romance, it was great to see the Jo breaking past Matthew's walls, their chemistry was awesome. I was surprised to see so many new characters added this time around including Hudson and Aditi, but I'm curious about them. I was glad that the book was a little longer compared to the first, as I got completely sucked into the story. Definitely looking forward to the third book and wondering what will happen next.

It's been a while since I read a good YA novel, and THIS DID NOT disappoint! I love the level of emotional intensity the author had included in the characters, which not only focused on their love lives but also other aspects in life - whether that's building up one's own confidence in their talents, being fearless to stand their ground, or have an option for a social cause etc. Really enjoyed the plot surrounding Matt and Joe, and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

A light, easy read that was deep and meaningful in places. At times the jumps from different points of view felt sudden but I got used to it as the story went on.

Let me start by saying I loved this book. It's one of those books I would love to watch as a TV show..
This is the 2nd book in the Tricked series and even better than the 1st..
This one had so much emotion. And the characters were interesting and there were quite a few I liked...
Really enjoyed the drama, the plots & twists.
Loved Matt. Loved the depth, the nuances of his character & the amazing chemistry between Matt & Jo.
I don't want to say much more cuz I don't want to avoid spoilers.
But I will tell you this, please do give this a try. I bet you would really enjoy this.

A big thank you to the author for sharing this with me.. reading this was such a pleasure

The first book is about Jo, she lived with her family on their ranch until she was tricked into a marriage with a stranger who turned out to be Matthew Devaro, an Italian businessman from one of the wealthiest families and corporations of the world.
His company was having rough times so if the news of him being tricked into a marriage came out, he would be ridiculed and his businesses jeopardized. That’s why Matthew and his family decided to continue the fake marriage with Jo, she agreed in exchange for some money to save her family's ranch from being sold.

That’s how it started but this sequel is so much more, it dives deep into Jo’s beliefs and values, trying to be herself in a billionaire community where being different can get you killed. By being “married” to an important man, Jo faces a lot of backlash and threats that may not be worth staying with the man she’s falling in love with.

It’s quite a long book but I really enjoyed the narration and internal discussions. Jo's opinions are very interesting, there were many times I would have done things differently but I respect how Jo is always, unapologetically herself.

An amazing romance with beautiful scenery, secrets, revenge and a bit of a mystery.

ARC review 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

I’m so glad I got the second arc in the series. Tempted was a whirlwind of events and emotional scenes that had me gripping the edge of the seat from the start and deeper into the story.

If you haven’t read the Tricked I would highly suggest you get to that and read the continued story in Tempted.

I received an ARC for these gorgeous books and absolutely loved them. This is the 2nd book of the Tricked series by a lovely Indie Author. Tempted starts where the first book left off.

The story follows Josephine and Matthew. When they were tricked into marriage Jo had to move with Matt to his home country. While the first book was mostly written through Jo's POV I loved that the author decided to write Matt's POV in the 2nd book. Gives the reader an insight into how he was dealing with the situation and his feelings too. I really liked the character development of the two main characters. Jo's character was amazing of how far she has come from the start of the series. A very strong character who I thought handled things so calmly and I was angry sometimes because the others were underestimating her. In the first book, Matt was sort of a character who was rather insensitive towards Jo but in the second book, he was so sweet and very considerate. I loved that the reader got to see an entirely different side of Matt in the second book. Can't wait to read the third.

Highly recommended for those of you who love reading slow-burn romance.
