This book was way more intense than the last book and I honestly need more.
The first book felt like a nice introduction to the characters and setting but in this book, you get to see so much more.
Jo has grown a lot in this book and is slowly figuring out who she wants to be. Her growth from the previous book is much better, but truthfully as much as I admired it in the first book, I found it a bit annoying. It was until the latter half of the book, I started to like her again.
Matt has improved a lot compared to the first book. Don't get me wrong, in the first half of this book, I wanted to punch him, but as the story develops I found myself actually rooting for him and liking him.
Jo and Matt are a good couple, both of them make each other better and it is evident when they are finally communicating and getting to each other. Both of them care for each other and like each other.
That being said, can a connection made by a trick survive?
In this book, we are introduced to new characters and they push the story forward. I love Nati, she will always be my favourite character.
Honestly, this book was intense and there were times I wanted to throw my kindle, but as the book carried on, the more invested I became and wanted to know more. I cannot wait for the next book!!
