Sonata of the Sword
When the Underworld cries for help…Styx picks up her sword.
There is a traitor in their midst, someone who set the ball rolling in an attempt to take the throne from Hades. Styx has a damn good idea who the traitor is, but she and Kyon need proof before throwing accusations around.
In order to do this, though, they need Charon’s help, and he is nowhere to be found. Following Kyon’s noses didn’t help in the Underworld, so back to Topside they go with Kyon’s son, Ladon and Ormr in tow. Only, nothing goes as they plan. Starting with a great change, a new friend, and more questions than they have answers for.
For the master plan to work, Styx and Kyon have to break Hades’ laws and risk their own necks to save the Underworld. They have to venture into the Elysian Fields to find the key to unlocking yet another mystery.
Will Styx find Charon? Will she and Kyon become traitors themselves? And above all, will the Underworld be saved?

Who did it!?
Seriously, I'm still asking questions because we still don't have answers!! Styx is on the hunt though, she has a plan, she has back up, she has help, but there is still so much to unpack for this trilogy and I cannot wait to see what the epic ending is going to be.
Niki keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout this series, teasing you with hints, veiled discussions, and those cliffies! Gaah!! You'll be so anxious for answers that you'll be screaming as you keep reading about all of Styx's crazy adventures and steamy thoughts about one particularly handsome Cerberus before throwing down the book and screaming, "That was great! But dangit!! Answers Niki!!!"

Another incredible book
I love Niki’s books, they always entice me in.
I have been loving Styx’s story and that of her surrounding characters. Everyone brings something even if they are not a main character.
I love how everything unfolded in this book and what we learnt about Styx’s journey but holy hell that ending!!!’n
I cannot wait for the finale to see what happens after that end and see what’s in store next for Styx.

And Molasses Makes Three
Niki Trento’s second book in her ‘The Blade’s Opus’ trilogy is really singing a sweet tune with readers and ratings. This story has loads of exciting adventure with awesome characters. Styx and Kyon, the main characters, continue their mission to look for the traitor that wants to take over Hades throne. Their journey has a lot of unexpected twists. This book was so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page and still begged for more. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

The first book was amazing and I absolutely loved it! This second book did not disappoint! Styx is powerful, strong willed and such a badass! I love her and Kyon's relationship and how well she seems to get along with everyone in the underworld. In this book you will get turns you were not expecting, scenes that will make you laugh out loud and times when you will just go Awwwwe!
This was an amazing addition to this series and I when I reached the last page I couldn't believe that was the end! I just can not wait for the next book!

Amazing
Sonata of the Sword is book two of The Blade’s Opus Series and it picks up right where book one left off. Once again Niki tells an amazing story and I didn’t want to stop reading. Styx is an awesome FMC and I love reading about her adventures. I love the multiple POV’s There are a few twists you don’t see coming and a bit of a cliffhanger at the end. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for book three.

Hot damn!
Niki… Niki.. these amazing books you keep putting out that pull you right in and make you never want to put it down. You did it again with the second book in Styx’ story, Sonata of the Sword. I could not put this book down for the life of me. I loved every minute of it and how the relationships develop more. We dive further into Styx’ background and trust me when I say, I did not see that coming.
Styx, our girl, is spending extra time in the underworld in this book and is determined to find the traitor and bring justice. Just because she is in the underworld more and has a mission does not mean there is less spice. Oh no! We get more spice and it is HOT! Did I mention that she gets a new power? Because she does! No spoilers, you will have to read it to find out what it is. I highly recommend reading this book. What more could you want in a book? You get a strong, sassy FMC and a gorgeous cerberus with lots of action and adventure all rolled into one. A couple new characters get introduced and a new mate, all in this book. It does end on a cliff-hanger and this one will make you want to question Niki about what happens next, I know I do. Now that you have read my review, go and get yourself a copy of this book now.

This story is just getting better and better as we learn more. You definitely will not want to put this book down, it will keep you asking questions. This book has suspense, humor, great characters, and so much more. I particularly like Styx and her sass, as well as how she faces anything thrown at her. In this book we get introduced to a new mate. It does end on a cliffhanger, that will make you scream for more. Overall, their path to find answers is not easy, but they persevere. I highly recommend you read this book, I can not wait to see what happens next. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

And I thought I loved the first book.
This book just got better and better as I read on. Styx is so easy to love with all her sass, but her ability to adapt to any situation thrown at her.
Kyon is amazing. And this book just adds to it once you get to see a softer side to him. And the way he is only for Styx is amazing. He's so sweet, but wants to jump her every possible chance he gets.
They have a plan, they have the help, but can they get the answers they seek? Not yet atleast, the path to the answer is not an easy one. But Styx being Styx takes it all in stride and kicks ass everywhere she goes.

Omg where to start. Can I start by saying this book is awesome. Trust me when I say you won't want to put this down. I pulled another all nighter reading this. The characters are well developed. This book is the whole package. Build a harem, kickass female, and twists and turns that will having you ask yourself if that just happened.

Niki did it again, heck yes strong FMC aka Styx, there is action, suspense, and heat. If you haven’t read Lullaby of the Sword I recommend it then follow up with this book and you are headed for a ride. Well written page turner.
I received this copy and my honest review is voluntary

Sonata of the Sword by Niki Trento picks up where Lullaby of the Sword left off. We are finally starting to get some answers but with the answers come even more questions! It is a truly captivating read, and Styx, Kyon, Molossus, and Tod will have to figure them out before it's too late!
April 21, 2022
OMG! This was spectacular. But, on the downside we end in a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. WHY!!!!!!!! I really, really enjoyed this book. It had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. Styx is one fabulous FMC that has you laughing and backing her up telling her “you go girl”. I loved Kyon and his other halves with their protectiveness and caring.
The story was extremely well written and developed. It is a stunning story that leads us on a journey that has you trying to figure out who is who and what they are doing, but, we only get a taste of the questions answered. We still have many questions left to be answered. I am absolutely needing the third book as soon as possible. I just have to see what happens next. Absolutely must read this amazing series.

Wow this was an amazing read that grabbed me from the moment that I started reading. This book has everything that you need in order to be a fun and entertaining read. It moves along at a great pace, has characters that are so real that you feel as though you know them and no matter what happens along the way you can't help but love them, you want to be there for them and a story that does not disappoint and keeps you reading until the end. This book has to be read.

Another Hit for Niki Trento!
This may be one of my absolute favorite new series of the year! It has a wonderful storyline with truly unique characters with a twist on mythology that is honestly just really cool. I LOVE that’s she takes the mythos that we all know and makes it entirely her own, but she does it in a way that is fully faithful to the original intent of the myths.
The pacing is wonderful for a quick and easy read, with a nice transition between scenes. It’s clear she’s put a lot of love and care into this series—and it shows!

why?!?!?
That ending was just uggghhh! I’ve decided I have a love hate relationship with cliffhangers! But holy fudge that book was a whirlwind! An unknown foe, new friends, family, and of course steamy scenes! This book was everything one could hope for in a sequel and sooo much more! I am stoked for the release of book 3, and cannot wait to see what Styx and her band of merry misfits can get up to next!

This book is sooooo good. I promise you that you wont be able to put it down because you have to know what is going to happen next. It is so intriguing, suspenseful, funny, witty characters, strong fmc, hot and sexy men and all the fun things that go on throught the underworld. Omg the details and storyline will hook you immediately and you never want it to let you go. Niki Trento has truly out done herself with this series and I can't wait for the next book. If you have not started this series you need to immediately!!

Sonata of the Sword was Amazing!
Styx, a demon kicks @ss with her sword Tod, is on a mission with her Cerberus mate to find a traitor in the Underworld. I thought this was a fast past, read and gives us a few answers and a few more questions. We also get a bit more background on Tod and how the sword got possessed and we also are introduced to a few new characters.
If you love a kick @ss FMC, demons, cerberus, and other supernatural creatures than you should check out this awesome story!

Good news and bad news:
The good news is that this is an AMAZING sequel to the series, full of humor, excitement, adventure, twists, and fun. We learn a little more about the fabulous characters that live in Niki Trento’s amazing world, with plenty of laughs along the way! We won’t talk about the number of times I literally laughed out loud and woke up my other half while reading late at night, since I couldn’t put it down!
The bad news is that, as of this review, she’s still writing book 3, and I NEED MORE NOW! I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Niki does it again!! Sontana of the Sword is book 2 in The Blade’s Opus series by Niki Trento. We are back with Styx our bada** sword wielding, female lead and her hunky Cerberus shifter Kyon mate. It carries on from where book 1 finished.
Its brilliantly written and I'm eagerly waiting for the next book.

OMG Niki is such an amazing author. Book 2 is if possible better than book 1. This series keeps getting better and better. The plot only gets filled with more and more suspense, and the characters only get more and more epic as the series go on. Styx is still a kick butt woman and her mates are still hot as hell!! Once I started I could not put this book down. Epic just Epic.

Loving this trilogy. I so love mythology and this one is full of it. Styx and Cerberus are trying to find the traitor to Hades realm. But to do so will bring even more danger into their lives. There are some amazing reveals and new mysteries. I’m loving the characters as there are quite a few side characters that just add so much to the story. So will written it will pull you right in. I really didn’t want this story to end but it does have a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the third book.
April 28, 2022
Wow! Talk about hawt, sexy, bada$$ and that’s just Styx’s! This book has something for everyone!! I love the storyline and the characters…..Kyon is one sexy Cerberi. I can’t wait for the next book and more of these yummy gods and demons!

I love this series so much! Book 2 hits the ground running and we pick up right where we left off in the first book. Styx is one of my favorite FMCS; such a bad ass!! Kyon is even more lovable in this book; yes he is a vicious Cerberus guarding the underworld but his interactions with Styx just make the book for me! We meet another of Styx’s fated mates and I can’t wait to get to know him better! I really enjoyed all the side characters in this book and how they are all coming together to figure out who has placed them in danger! I had quite the book hangover when I finally got to the end of the book; just didn’t want it to end. Cannot wait to see what happens next!!

I really enjoyed this next installment of the Blades Opus series. If you haven’t checked out Niki’s books then you are missing out. This story continues on from the 1st book with Styx trying to figure out who the traitor is. She has a plan she wants to set in motion. She will need the help of her mate Kyon and the help of Charon. But first they must find Charon. Read the book to find out if they end up finding Charon. Also to find out if they catch the traitor.

Sonata of the Sword book 2 in The Blades Opus by Niki Trento continues Styx's story. She knows there is a traitor in the Underworld but needs proof to present to Hades. With her new family by her side, they enact a dangerous plan; however, there is one thing missing, Charon. Will they be able to find Charon and keep everyone safe in the meantime?
Trento's characters are unforgettable. They are perfect blends of fierce and friendly. After accepting the mate bond, Styx finds a new family in the Underworld. Additionally, there are quite a few exciting demons, all having their race, for lack of a better word, with specific descriptions and powers. There is quite a bit of magic described in this series as well; some of it sounds impressive.
This fast-paced book with varied characters and elaborate magic got a 5 out of 5-star rating from me. Styx and her antics provide lots of laughs while her sexy mate gives readers some swoon-worthy moments. Sonata of The Sword is a build-a-harem with fated mates that offers lots of spice for readers. This book is for adults only with graphic sexual content and adult themes. Despite all the action, twists, and turns, this is still a light-hearted and refreshing read making this book a quick story that readers can finish in a day or two. I recommend this book for those that enjoy paranormal reverse harem with a fated-mates troupe.

Oh.... Book 2 did not disappoint. More info about the prophecy, maybe we meet some more important characters, maybe not.... better read.
Let's see...
The Prisoner - yup, I think we know who that is....
The Guardian - DUHHH... our sweet puppy love
The Pure - I think this has been answered too.... Interesting concept too
Well book 2 had the NERVE to end in a cliffhanger and I'm not sure the author is REALLY sorry about doing it to me. I thought we were kindred spirits after our love of a certain song, but maybe not!
Adventure... check.... deceit.... DUH.... All the Hades and Persephone you can handle..... Pretty much. Also a kick butt demon and her mates, friends, brother, and so much more!
