Les Desirable: Secrets Never Die

by Dennis E. McGowan, Karen S. McGowan

I’m Les Desirable. Don’t laugh. That’s my real name. And Principal Butcher won’t let me forget it. I’m a world-famous news reporter. While most kids my age are breaking wind, I’m always looking for breaking news.

My cousin Bo Teak has a hot news tip for me. When the principal was a little boy, he lived in the same house where I do now. That gives me the creeps. But I don’t have time to worry, because I promised to let my friends join the secret Boys Lunch Club. Things roll along smoothly—until a GIRL wants to join our secret Boys Club. Yuck! It’s for BOYS—B–O–Y–S—NOT girls!

Life gets really interesting when I use my reporter skills to dig up BURIED TREASURE! It’s a juicy secret! I can’t wait to tell you about it. You do want to know, don’t you?

Les Desirable: Secrets Never Die is a funny and entertaining story for children ages 9 – 12, middle school students, and adults who are still young at heart.
