Ok, here’s the thing…there’s a chicken salad plate on the cover. But the introduction begins by saying the Mediterranean diet is minimal on red meat and even poultry. So why the cover has a chicken salad is odd to me. Then, the first recipe is a lentil and cheddar frittata that includes ham in the recipe…a red meat. Within that same 1st page is also a ham and eggs muffin, another red meat ingredient in a recipe. The book itself is low quality, the image is not high resolution on the cover and it’s a black and white book with no pictures but if the recipes or what the book is about aligned, I could get past that. But the inconsistency of what the book is saying and what the recipes are…I can’t.
PS i haven’t tried the recipes, they may be delicious. This review is based on the fact that this is not a Mediterranean cookbook in my opinion
