Rate this book
Emily’s family moves to the country, and she misses her best friend. Then she and her brother meet Tomás and Daniela, who help them prepare for the spring parade.
Together they decorate a float, create silly costumes, and come up with a plan that even includes their pet rabbit and ducklings.
Chaos and chuckles abound on the day of the parade when Mr. Slobbers, a rambunctious Great Dane, also sets out to make new friends. The result? A rollicking parade no one will ever forget!

Parade Fun, Adventure and . . . Friendship
When Emily’s family moves to a new neighborhood, she misses her best friend. But when Emily and her brother Jeff get invited to participate in the upcoming parade, it makes them feel less alone. Best of all, new friends Tomás and Daniela help Emily and Jeff build a parade float. The kids’ pets—a rabbit, three ducks, and a big slobbery dog—get in on the action, which leads to chaos and adventure. In the end, even the pets become friends! This story shows how reaching out to others in the simplest ways can make them feel welcome and included. The colorful illustrations bring the characters to life and add lots of personality!

A charming story that deals with moving to a new home, making new friends and a silly pet parade! Our toddler was giggling the whole way through!
