With tension mounting between them, twin earth witches Sinead and Alannah are forced to work together to hunt for the missing earth point. That search puts them directly in the path of enigmatic, mysterious Noah Rivers, and Sinead’s attraction to Noah is immediate and incendiary.
Noah is torn between his sworn duty to protect the earth point and the heady call of his new bonded mate. It’s a decision that will affect the future of magic and life as they all know it.
Sisters Sinead and Alannah also face an unprecedented choice around activating the life point, and theirs is life or death. As blood-witch Rhiannon’s trap closes around the cré-witches, the coven back at Baile Castle wades against the onslaught of the shifting magical tide.
Forces are gathering, the rules are changing, and the final battle looms.
Born British and raised in South Africa, Sarah Hegger suffers from an incurable case of wanderlust. Her match? A hot Canadian engineer, whose marriage proposal she accepted six short weeks after they first met. Together they’ve made homes in seven different cities across three different continents (and back again once or twice). If only it made her multilingual, but the best she can manage is idiosyncratic English, fluent Afrikaans, conversant Russian, pigeon Portuguese, even worse Zulu and enough French to get herself into trouble.
Mimicking her globe trotting adventures, Sarah’s career path began as a gainfully employed actress, drifted into public relations, settled a moment in advertising, and eventually took root in the fertile soil of her first love, writing. She also moonlights as a wife and mother.
She currently lives in Draper, Utah, with her teenage daughters, two Golden Retrievers and aforementioned husband. Part footloose buccaneer, part quixotic observer of life, Sarah’s restless heart is most content when reading or writing books.
This book certainly feels like it is starting to pull everything together ready for that final book in the series.
What I love most about this series is even with all the characters and storylines surrounding the central arc, nothing feels too much or not enough.
I personally am loving Rodericks personal growth the most and the way he is learning the ways of the modern world, I.e women's rights and taxes. I also love his growing relationship with Alexander, I think it is what his character needed to really get that soft edge. Aswell as Maeve who is just his kryptonite.
I will spare a moment for Thomas, with no spoilers except I hope we see more of him in the last book.
Noah was the perfect match for Sinead, their budding romance is just full of fire and a complete contrast to Mags and Jack in the last book where it was sweetly.
There was so much happening that I could write this review as a novel but I'll leave it there! I am so stoked for the last in this series but also kinda sad that it will come to an end!
Cradled in Earth brings some wonderful surprises, and some tearful goodbyes as it builds to the climax of the series finale which will be in the next book.
The twins are in Canada to activate the earth point, and Mags is being held captive by Rhiannon. Both find help in unusual ways, but will it be enough to save them?
Sarah Hegger pushes the human emotion further and deeper in this story. She explores love in various ways, and the reader rides that roller coaster up and down all the way to the very end. Hegger pushes friendships and bonds to the edge, testing their strength, some last… some don’t. It’s here the reader really gets to feel The nitty gritty of the story. Feel the weight of the women’s burdens, and the strength of the men behind them.
I look forward to the series finale and the final battle …
I absolutely loved every minute immersed in reading this book. There are so many threads this author pulled together in developing this storyline and each and every one was unique and unexpected while developing this series further towards the final conclusion in the next book. The character development and world building get bigger and better and this book greets you like an old friend right from page one. My new favorite series. Highly recommend.
So far this series of books have been the best that I've read. Top of my list. The detail to everything that the Crè-witches have gone through really keeps you on your toes. Cudos to the author for this creative take on modern day witches and the battle between good and evil. Who would've ever thought that Roderick was actually Alexander's father and giving the earth point to twins. Then you add in wolf shifters wow; amazing.
I have fallen in love with this series since I read the pre sequel. The characters are so real and the action they are involved in is so vivid I feel like it leaps off the page and I become a part of it. I am afraid to read the last book because then I will not have another one waiting for me. I have read all of these books back to back and this story and each characters journey has been an exciting, wonderful and sad all at the same time.A must read series!
Wow. At first I was like, no, she can't do that. Why is the author doing that? But then it became more clear. Interesting penultimate installment of the Cré-Witch chronicles. Had me ugly crying, I'm not gonna lie! Now we need the last book to tie it all up nicely with a lovely pretty bow! Hehe.
I couldn't put it down. Cradled In Earth picks up right after the previous book. Sarah had me on the edge of my seat throughout the book and am loving where the story is going. I'm so looking forward to the next installment. I love the witch and their protectors along with friends and the Goddess.
Sarah Hegger is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and I’ve only read this series so far. Her characters and descriptions are amazing and pull you in. I almost don’t want the story to end.
Wow. What can I say a fantastic book.. Full of intrigue.. Telling the story of what is happening to the covern of witches as well as the Earth point being activated.. Wow whatva book I can't wait for the final book...
This really should be a series on Netflix. I’m looking forward and dreading the final book in equal parts. I hope everyone finds their happily ever after in the final book.
