Carl Ferdinand Howard Henry was an American evangelical Christian theologian who served as the first editor-in-chief of the magazine Christianity Today, established to serve as a scholarly voice for evangelical Christianity and a challenge to the liberal Christian Century.
Ravi Zacharias made mention of this book in one of his sermons. It was written by the editor of "Christianity Today", Carl Henry. In a world of ever growing unrest and rebellion to the word of God where moral relativism and secular humanism begins to gain prominence among certain social circles (especially on college campuses) a few voices are still willing to cry out in the wilderness. Carl Henry is one of those voices. A thought-provoking book, it is nevertheless highly technical at times and requires some research to really understand. America has a growing body of citizens who worship themselves, indulge in only those things that bring self gratification and personal pleasure and neglect the fact that they will someday fall under the judgment of a higher power.
