Zoe & Mitch meet at a bar one night. They agree to have one night only with "no emotions, no attachments" and to never see each other again. Flash forward to the next day and guess who now works together. Also, guess who can't stop thinking about each other.

Zoe has recently returned to Wichita after leaving home 4 years prior. As the only daughter and youngest child of Christian Albright, Zoe has never been able to live her life the way she wants. She's always been under her controlling fathers thumb ~ which infuriates me. Her father and 4 brothers really bugged me until the very end ~ they were quite maddening.

Mitch has recently moved to Wichita for a new job as a lawyer at the Albright law firm. He doesn't plan on sticking around for too long, or letting anyone in his life. He has a little bit of a sad secret that takes us a long time to find out what it is. Chapter 19 actually gave me some chills.

I really liked Zoe and Mitch ~ they were both well written characters and really had a fun time together.

Although I didn't care for the 4 brothers for most of the book, I wouldn't mind if this was turned into a series following their love lives. And I'll, also, need Z & M to make cameos to see how they're doing. Hint, hint ~ Lynn Stevens

Side note ~ How come Zoe just answers the phone without looking at the caller id? She did it multiple times. That’s just crazy talk.

Zoe and Mitch's Story . . .

Zoe Albright left Wichita to attend college in Chicago. What she actually left for was to escape her controlling father who wanted her to be what he wanted. She came home and took a job at his law firm, but she didn’t want to be there for long. When her father and brothers once again interfere in her life choices, she needs a night out with no strings or commitments, a night where anything goes. So she heads to the local bar.

Mitch Caldwell wants a short-term job at a law firm just for the experience of getting started. Before his first day starts, he goes out the night before to unwind at a local bar. He meets Zoe, both of them just wanting one night of passion. So imagine his shock to find out the next day that he is working for her father – and she is his new secretary! Will they agree to continue their fling in secret? Of course, there will be no feelings allowed, right?

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve only read Lynn Steven’s sports romances, but I’m pleased to say I really enjoyed One Night Only.

Zoe and Mitch are two strangers who meet in a bar. They meet and spend the night together with no names or attachments. Thinking they’re both just a pleasant memory, they’re shocked to meet again the following morning in Mitch’s new boss’s office. Zoe is his new boss’s estranged daughter. She’s recently returned home after graduating from college and realizing life in Chicago isn’t what she wants. In order to get support from her family, she lives where they want her to live, works at the family law firm, and must return to school to become a paralegal. Mitch is using the new position as a steppingstone towards his goal of opening a law firm. He plans to learn as much as he can from the best law firm in the state and then move on. Zoe has been assigned to work with Mitch. Can they do that without wanting one another? Of course not. They can’t fight their attraction and agree to continue hooking up with the same rules: no emotions or attachments.

Zoe and Mitch were interesting characters. Both are lone wolves but for very different reasons. Zoe has always lacked family support. Any accomplishments, she’s done it on her own. I love that about her. Mitch was a foster child who married his first love only to become a young widower. That experience scars him. He’s never going to let anyone in personally or professionally.

Their non-relationship grows is ways they never expect. They work well together but he finds himself defending her to her family. He’s unknowingly wants to be there to support her in all aspects of life. She continues to fight her family but turns to him as he becomes the only one who can do that for her.

The story is well written, and it hooked me from the start. It’s a story filled with heat, humor and a low level of angst. I will be telling my fellow romance readers to pick this one up.

I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.

One night. No names. No emotions or attachments. That is the agreement. Of course, you know what they say about best laid plans... Zoe has returned to Wichita, Kansas after leaving behind a fiance and a life that suddenly didn't seem to fit the new college graduate. However, now she is back under the control of her overbearing father and four overprotective big brothers - and forced to work for their law firm if she wants a roof over her head. And then her one night stand arrives the next morning as a new lawyer in the practice, and her father assigns her to be his legal secretary. Mitch knows one of Zoe's brothers from law school and has come to Wichita only with the intention of furthering his career. When he encounters the woman with whom he shared one of the hottest nights of his life, Mitch is more than happy to get naked again - and is more than willing to keep it on the down low. But when he gets mixed up in the Albright family drama, will he and Zoe make it out alive?

One Night Stand is a steamy read; but as much as it is about Mitch and Zoe, it is also about Zoe coming into her own. I found myself empathetic towards her - and even angry through parts of the book on her behalf. It is well written and engrossing - to the extent that you will run the gamut of emotions to a very satisfying end.

I loved this book, I really hope this turns into a series, I need to know more about the Albright brothers and see them get their happy endings - with updates on Mitch and Zoe obviously.

Zoe returns to her hometown and to her family after a four year absence, she is at a major crossroads in her life and is trying to find herself again. She decides to do something very un her and have a one night stand.
No names, no commitment, no emotions, no strings.

She meets a guy at a bar, goes home with him, experiences the most pleasure she has ever felt and leaves with a momento, only to find he is her new boss.

Mitch finds out his one night stand is the daughter of his new boss on the first day of his job, she gets assigned to be his secretary. They try to resist each other and stick to the rules, but nothing goes to plan.

This book is about Zoe and Mitch, but it is also about Zoe growing up and finding herself and Mitch coming to terms with his past and making room for more.

This story was fun, emotional, relatable and engrossing.

I love this way Lynn Stevens writes. So believable and relatable. And this book didn’t disappoint.

Zoe just moved back home after she left for college and to get away from her controlling father and brothers. As the only girl, youngest of her 4 brothers, she has never been able to do exactly what she wants. So to take a break she goes to a bar and meets Mitch.

Mitch is a lawyer and new to Wichita. He decides to go for a drink and meets Zoe. They decide one night only, no emotions, that’s it. Until the next morning when he gets to work and finds Zoe, his assistant and his boss Christian is her dad. Will they be able to work together without any issues? Or will they continue to hook up?

Such a great story. A little bit mysterious with Mitch’s past but it all came out eventually. I laughed and got mad at some parts but in the end it was all worth it.

I really enjoyed this steamy read that’s supposed to be one night only, but turns into so much more. Mitch, the newest attorney, at Albright, Miller, & Huff meets Zoe at Chizzy’s, a bar. She’s turning down propositions left and right and figures he’ll be turned down too. No, definitely not. Imagine his surprise when he arrives at work and learns she’s the daughter of his boss and he’s expected to work with her. Mitch has a reason why he doesn’t do relationships anymore and when you learn why, your heart will break for him. Will Zoe’s dad and brothers find out about her night with Mitch and if so what will happen? No spoilers, so grab your copy and fall in love with these amazing characters. I hope we get to read more from these characters, hint, hint.

I loved Zoe. I spent most of the book cursing her family for labeling her trouble with no legitimate reason. Heath deserved to be junk punched for what he did. Zoe was only 18. I love that Mitch brought out the best in Zoe and did not hesitate to defend her when he needed to either by advocating for her or giving her the decision to share information when her brothers were so willing to violate her privacy. Mitch's backstory was tragic as well but it was not an overwhelming part of the story, yes it affected his actions but it didn't drive the plot the way Zoe's family did. Honestly, I feel like she was abused by them with the way they tried to control and protect her. I was a little angry how she forgave so willingly.

Overall, I loved the book. It definitely was a little spicier than Lynn's books tend to be but, no lies, I am not mad about that.

This was my first book read by Lynn Stevens and wow, it was brilliant.
I honestly started this with ab open mind, not 100% sure on how I'd find it. But it was so well written, it really pulled me in and I couldn't stop reading.
I felt like I was living the lives of all the characters and I didn't want to stop.
I laughed, I cried, I got angry and I just couldn't stop smiling at times. I really was left feeling so happy that I reached for this book, as I honestly did love every bit of it.
100% a 5 star read and would highly recommend

Zoe has recently returned back home to Kansas, after breaking off her engagement in Chicago. She is living with her parents and working at her father’s law firm. After an intervention with her father and brothers she goes to bar and meets a guy. She agrees to an one night no names no numbers. Little do both of them know that their paths will cross again. Turns out her one night only is a new lawyer at her father’s firm.
It was entertaining and they had really good chemistry. Her father and brothers annoyed me especially the brothers attitude towards her. However I did like the story.

A great story about Zoe the only daughter of a lawyer, and sister to four lawyer brothers who is rebelling at the control being forced upon her by her father and to some extent her brothers. Mitch, a lawyer, has just moved to town for a job. It was supposed to be one night, no names, no strings; but fate has other ideas and now they work together at her fathers’ firm. An emotional journey for both of them and a learning experience for her family. Steamy, angst, funny at times and throw in a tear just to round it out. Great read.

Zoe went to Chicago for college to escape a controlling father and 4 older brothers. When she returns after breaking her engagement, she goes to work at the family law firm. When she lets loose one night and has a one night stand with a handsome stranger, she finds out he's the new attorney at the family firm, Mitch. Even though he plans on moving on after some world experience, he can't deny the attraction between him and Zoe. These characters are well written, compelling, the book is full of sizzle, steam, drama, and more.

One night. No names. No commitment. Until Zoe shows up for work to find out that Mitch is the new attorney at her family's law firm. It's amazing that Zoe isn't more screwed up, given the way that she's treated by her family. What I love most about her is that she's living life according to her rules, pushing back at her father at every opportunity. Mitch has some issues and baggage to deal with as well. This is one remarkable story, and it kept me turning pages well into the night, unable to stop reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is an off limits, office romance between attorney Mitch and his secretary, Zoe. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an interesting read. There is no denying the sizzling chemistry and strong connection between these two souls. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a captivating love story with drama, family dynamic, steam, twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. A sweet read with a happy ending.

I was expecting a quick read based on the fall out of a one night stand, but this was so much more than that. Zoe has been controlled by her dad and brothers all of her life except four years when she paid her way through college. Mitch has a loss in his past that is the reason for his aversion to commitment. I'd love to see more of the brothers stories and see them and their dad be found accountable for their behaviour.

This is a fun story. It is about one night, no names, no attachments and what happens next. The story is about Zoe and Mitch. They are both in Wichita for their own reasons and neither wants anything permanent. The next day is where all the fun really begins. This is a fairly short and quick read that is nicely developed. I love the characters and the plot is interesting.

Zoe Albright left Wichita four years ago to pursue her own dreams against her fathers expectations. Now she is engaged and feeling like she is stuck in the same place she was four years ago. She has no choice but to break things off and head back home.

Now she is stuck working at her father's law firm and him trying to plan her life. She needs just one night to forget everything. She has a mind blowing night with a man she meets at a bar, expecting not to see him again.

Zoe rarely gets what she wants and the next day she finds she spent the night with a new lawyer recently hired and he is going to be her boss. The pair keep meeting up, the chemistry between is not lessening.

What happens when they catch feelings? Mitch might be just perfect for Zoe if she lets him.

This has secretly been one of my favorite types of books. I love books where they meet in a bar like Mitch and Zoe, only to find out later that they are now coworkers or boss and employee. I am so glad that I picked this book up and read it. I will for sure be looking at reading more of Stevens' books. I loved Mitch and Zoe's story.

Overbearing family:
After a delicious one night stand, Zoe never imagined she'd ever see the hunky guy again. They were both shocked when they found out the following morning that they were going to be working together and the chemistry sizzled between them. This was a fairly enjoyable forbidden office romance which was heavy on insta lust. However it took me a while to connect with Zoe and Mitch and part of that was because the characters themselves weren't very open with each other and we did not get to witness any romance between them. I did feel empathetic towards Zoe what with her overbearing and toxic family and I would have liked to see a more tender and loving side to Mitch in order to balance things out.

I really liked the beginning of this book. Zoe is forced to work at the family firm since she is not sure what her next step should be. Mitch just accepted a job at the same company. But before they might officially, Zoe decides she nneds one night for helself and Mitch catches her attention. And things get complicated. as thy soon discover that they will be working togther. Mitch has a plan that does not include romantic relationships. Zoe needs to figure out what who she is. But they both cannot stay away from each other.
