a really interesting book, a must read i would say, it opens one's eyes to a lot of facts that we were never told and it make you see the world in a different view. the main idea of the book is that there existed much more advance civilizations than ours in the past and it gives you proofs of that. i highly recommend reading this book, if not all of it, at least chapter 2 where it's filled with facts and pictures to prove them

It’s taken me a while to make this review, because it’s been a long time since a book got my brain going quite like this. The book in question is Earth’s Forbidden Secrets written by Maxwell Igan.

Despite the dramatic sounding title, there are, spoiler alert, no forbidden secrets revealed therein. What it does present however, is a huge amount of really interesting information, most of which revolves around the theme of civilisations on earth from much longer ago in the human timeline than we currently think. Igan presents three lines of evidence for this: Out of Place Artefacts, ancient texts that seem to describe things only known to the modern world, and lastly a creation account that predates the bible by thousands of years.

I’ll say here that I don’t necessarily go along with everything he says but at times he does present some things that make you go hmmm. Like an iron pot being found inside a chunk of 312 million year old coal. Or landscapes being accurately described from the air centuries before the age of human flight as just a couple of examples.

The section on the creation story as told by the Sumerians caught my attention in a big way too, not because I believe every part of it, but for another reason. I used to be religious and as I was leaving the religion of my childhood I went into a deep dive on the worlds religions and came away with the conclusion that most parts of most religions are copies of copies of copies of previous religious systems. This book helped solidify this theory in its sharing of the Sumerian creation tale. Many of the Genesis account names, places, and ideas are present in the Sumerian tale which predates the bible by thousands of years. It’s as if these things in Genesis were lifted almost directly from the much older Sumerian text. When you read the two in parallel, it sure looks to me like the Genesis version is a modified copy of the Sumerian version. (To clarify this being a copy of a copy thing is not what this part of the book is about, he just a lays out the story as translated from ancient tablets. The copy of a copy thing is just something I noticed that nicely paralleled other things I have read).

It’s fascinating stuff.

I could spend hours on this alone, but suffice to say this section of Earth’s Forbidden Secrets was thoroughly interesting.

Do I believe all of it? No, but like the author I says, read it, examine it, and come to your own conclusion. There’s definitely enough there to get your brain working. The best part of this book is that it’s available for free from the authors website here. There’s not much more to say! It’s an interesting read, it’s a bit weird in places, and I enjoyed the heck out of it!

I read this book with mixed feelings. I was fascinated by many mysteries our planet hides since I was a child so when I found this book I was excited.
Author tried to gather mysterious facts from different time periods, from Piri Reis map to megalithic buildings.
However when you read further and further this book author gets crazy with his theories and his interpretation of Enuma Elish and "proof" that we humans were created by some aliens via genetic modification is questionable at best.
Author also mentions discovery of new planet in our solar system and claims it is the Annunaki home. 12 years after realeasing this book I highly doubt this is correct as well according to current observation results characteristics of this celestial body seems different that author describes.

So, the book is good with focusing reader's attention to many interesting facts but lacks short when comes to interpretations.

This book may help the reader to gain an insight into the inversions that abound through so many facets of the world today. I highly recommend investing the time into reading this book in its entirety, however, chapter 9 onwards contains the most pertinent information in my opinion.

My favorite part so far. Page 92.
"Academia decrees that only people with degrees and doctorates are permitted to practice
science and they have two very important and quite simple filters in place to ensure that
independent research is suppressed: One, credentials and two, peer review. Because no matter
what your evidence or theories are, nothing gets past peer review. But you cannot receive peer
review without first having credentials. But of course in order to get credentials you need to tow
the party line and embrace the accepted theories or you simply won’t get your degree in the first
place. So what do you do? Remember 'Catch 22'? It’s actually quite brilliant in its simplicity – in
some scary way."

Also, this PDF book needs to be read slow and purposely.

This was a super interesting/thought provoking book. It reminds me of the stories described in Uncharted games or the Indiana Jones movies. Lots of unanswered questions prevail after reading this book. My favorite part was Chapter 2, where the author provided lots of different pictures of many different objects that have been discovered around the world with theories and backstories of each. Quite a fun read.

The book is not written to teach you anything it is merely a book writen to inform the reader of certain aspects of this world that may have been over looked when history was written. It challenges the reader to look deeper into the truth and to determine facts by scientific reasoning and not by propaganda.

very interesting book, eye opening unobjective look at the past from a different perspective without demanding the reader accepts what the author says just considers there are other possible explanations, worth reading

This is possibly the biggest pile of rubbish I've ever read. There are so many things wrong with this it is difficult to know where to start. Perhaps every Meso- and South American culture labelled Mayan? Kentucky being in the Rockies? Or Salisbury in Rhodesia (Now Harare in Zimbabwe) being confused with Salisbury, England. These are just some of the factual problems. As for the things he would have you think are credible! He makes a case for the existence of Atlantis and Le(Mu)ria and the Pyramids and the Sphynx being built by them, then tells us that the Annunaki from the planet Nibiru did it (along with Baalbek and Temple Mount in Jerusalem [landing pads] and Tiwanaku [gold mining complex]) according to the Sumerians, that is. His understanding of time and relativity and genetics are most peculiar. It started well with some Ooparts the rapidly deteriorated. Read it if you want to know what the fringe thinkers believe, it really is out there.
