Apparently this author does not know ANYTHING about women. This is not how they act. 99% of women are not going to sleep with their father in laws and their best friends husband. I am not sure what neighborhood group of women are all cheating on their spouses in one form or another🙄
It was all such a wild ride getting to know the ladies throwing the party. They had secrets, lies and plenty of steam to keep the pages turning and my mind wondering, what the heck would happen next! Lots of unexpected twists and turns, and excellent pov storytelling with each character. I’m looking forward to more!
This was so beyond an episode of Peyton Place. I know women can be caddy. Women can be cruel. Women can be out and out witches with a "B"., but this group took the grand prize. So much hate. So many lies. So much infidelity. So much deceit. So be warned: Stay away from Pleasure Parties or be ready to sharpen your claws.
This book could have been successfully executed, but instead ended up being a crass story of the worst traumas women experience and/or inflict on each other. The premise is so interesting but turns out to be an equal part depressing and disappointing read.
Melrose Place on steroids. While I enjoyed reading this book, There were quite a few places where words were missing so I had to read it twice to make sure I was understanding it. Will still be wanting to read the sequel though.
This was a great read! From the first chapter, the story sucks you in and doesn't let go of you until the end. Each new chapter introduced new layers to the story and complex characters. I look forward to the follow up novel.
It was an enjoyable read. I liked the way the author told each characters individual story. Each page was filled with drama. And the lesson I learned from this story is don't tell other women your business, keep it to yourself.
I watched Hugh’s feature and instantly added this book to my list. The way he talked about the story made the tension and emotions feel so real. It’s gripping and full of surprises.
After seeing this book featured, I finally understood the buzz around it. It’s not just a thriller, it’s a story about trust, fear, and survival. Such a great read.
Hearing Hugh discuss the inspiration behind “Pleasure Party” made me appreciate the layers even more. The story feels intimate, raw, and absolutely cinematic
