For each new object, there is a "touch and feel" panel that features an appropriate texture -- baby can learn that a flower petal feels like smooth velvet, a sandbox like rough sandpaper, and a cuddly teddy bear soft and furry.

This is a very nice touch and feel book for small children. You can lift the curtain and spot the mother and baby.
