About the author

Jane Fallon is an English producer and novelist, most famous for her work on popular series Teachers, 20 Things To Do Before You're 30, Eastenders and This Life. She is author of ten novels on the Sunday Times Bestseller List — Getting Rid of Matthew, Got You Back, Foursome, The Ugly Sister, Skeletons, Strictly Between Us, My Sweet Revenge, Faking Friends, Tell Me A Secret, and Queen Bee. In 2011, Foursome was nominated for the Melissa Nathan Award for Romantic Comedy Fiction, and in 2018, Faking Friends was nominated in the popular fiction category of the National Book Awards and in 2019 was long listed for the Comedy Women In Print prize.

Fallon has been in a relationship with popular comedian Ricky Gervais since 1982, after they met while studying together at the University College London. The couple has lived together since 1984 and are based in North London.

Fantastic collection of short stories that I read between other books. I love books like this, find them to be a great way to discover new authors.

Great little book packed full of short stories from lots of authors.
Obviously because they were short, they didn't go into a huge amount of detail but they were still enjoyable, and I actually read a couple each night while in bed , so that I wasn't up reading all night!
There were some big name authors in here, several of which I am still to read any of their books.
Great read for when you need something simple that doesn't require much thinking.

Een leuk boek. Hoewel sommige verhalen wat voorspelbaar zijn, vond ik ze toch leuk om te lezen. De verhalen zijn heel verschillend. Sommige gaan over nieuwe liefdes. Andere over verloren liefdes of overspel. Zo’n bundel is ook leuk om nieuwe schrijfsters te ontdekken. Dit boek is uitgebracht om de mensen in Oekraïne te steunen. Ik vind zo’n bundel een leuke manier om geld in te zamelen. Daarom raad ik iedereen aan om het boek te kopen. Je steunt een goed doel en krijgt er zelf ook nog iets leuks voor terug.

Utter delight

This book is a total joy. Is it wrong that something so delightful is being sold in aid of the horrendous situation caused by the war in Ukraine? No, not if it helps and it serves to remind us what is so eternally special about life and that it’s worth fighting for.
Added bonus - so many of the stories are about older ladies. That makes such a pleasant change. I shall certainly be seeking out other books by these authors.

A wonderful book for a good cause.. raising money for the DEC's Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal, LOVE Stories is a collection of short stories by some of our favourite authors. This book had such a great collection, many by authors I hasn't previously heard of so exposed me to some great new authors to try. Highly recommend purchasing this one

Worth buying to donate to a great cause and support the work of these authors.
While there were lovely stories- the highlight being Milly Johnson’s one, a few just did not draw me in and I just skimmed them. A bit disappointing but the good are very good.

As with all books of short stories by a variety of authors, there will be stories you'll love and others you won't be quite so bothered by. I'm pleased to say that in this fundraising anthology, there are loads of really great and heartwarming stories by some of my favourite authors.

This anthology has been put together from stories donated by some of the top romance authors and raises money for Ukraine charities. If you haven't already got a copy then I urge you to get one. I had thought this would be a slim volume of stories but it's packed full and the order has been given a lot of thought.
