Cowboy Dragon's Inn #8

Cowboy Dragon's Spoiled Mate

Rate this book
My goal was to escape my corrupt father.
As a dragon shifter, I craved a simpler life in Colorado.

But little did I know…that Maddy would end up working at my barn.

The most troublesome employee.
The hottest woman I’d ever met.
And my old childhood friend.
She made my life a living hell.
But I stood by her as her teacher, protector…
And as the man that wanted to give her the world.

Being with Maddy and taking her body felt like a dream.
But giving her my heart?
That was harder than I’d thought.
Maddy was a little brat that I needed to tame.
Her entitled-self wouldn’t allow us to give our love another shot.

Could we defeat the odds and be together… or is our future together doomed once again?

Each book in this sexy-as-sin series can each be read as standalones, and has no cliffhangers, but are best read in order.

Who is Tim? Where does he work? What does he do? Where is he going? When he gets there, what changes his mind? Who is Madeline? Why is she at her current location? Who is Nicholas and why didn't I like him? You'll have to read to find out! What happens with Madeline and Henry? What is the outcome of that? What do we learn about Madeline as the story continues? What do we learn of Henry and Tim's pasts? Can Maddy become who she is supposed to be or can be? What happens in the days before and the day of the barbeque? What happens when Henry shows up for the second time in the story? Who unexpectedly shows up and what is that outcome? I hope to see more about Tim and Maddy in the future.

Tim has been working at the ranch for over two years. He has made it his home with his new identity and has made a new life for himself as far from his crooked father as he could get. He is at the hotel to meet with Corey about his idea of offering trail rides to the bridal parties that come to the hotel. He personally thinks it’s a terrible idea, but he isn’t the boss. While he is there he witnesses one of the brides having a total melt down and causing all kinds of turmoil. When Corey tells him he isn’t going to be able to meet with him he can’t get out of their fast enough. Unfortunately the bride runs into him and then yells at him like it’s his fault. Her father is right behind her and recognizes Tim from his previous life. Tim tells him he is mistaken and runs back to the ranch. He hopes that is the last of it, but the next day his bosses call a meeting and as soon as he walks in he knows he is in trouble. Henry, the bride’s father, is there and wants a favor from Tim and his bosses. He is going to cut Madeline off completely and all she will have left is a job at the ranch, and he wants Tim to be her boss. He promises not to tell Tim’s father where he is, but Tim figures it’s only a matter of time before he finds out. When he tells the guys about his true background and tells them he is leaving before his father can find him and hurt them and their business, they tell him he is not going anywhere. He is family and they will stand together against his father if they have to. He can’t even explain his relief at finally having a “family” that will stand behind him. Now there is just the issue of what to do with Madeline/Maddy. As soon as he gets her to the ranch he knows he has made a huge mistake, but he has given his word he will try and teach her some skills and manners. He also suspects she is his mate, but there is no way he is going there!

I loved the characters in the book. Tim is such a sweetheart, usually, but he is totally out of sorts with Madeline around and doesn’t know what to do about it. Madeline is such a spoiled brat, it was hard for me to believe an adult could actually act that way! Some of the situations she gets herself into are hilarious, and at the same time kind of sad. Great book!.

Wow what a great read this book kept me spellbound right till the very end and the lessons that the main characters learned along the way made it a must read book for me. Madeline (Maddy) is a spoiled rich kid who expects everyone should bow down to her and give her anything she wants and her fiancée just egg’s her on more but he doesn’t really want her he’s only out to get the family’s money and her father knows this and has had enough of all her attics and cuts her off all his financial help and even gets her a job working on a ranch under a family friend all the while hoping she can learn to be a better person. Tim is a dragon shifter that left his rich family home after fighting with his father and has never looked back and loves his job on the ranch and being apart of a amazing family. When he runs into his childhood friends father asking him to help his daughter Maddy he realizes he still wants her because she is his mate but never thought he would see her again after he left but she is so different now and he wonders if the real girl he loves is still in there or has she gone forever. Can Maddy let go of her spoiled ways and learn to be the woman that Tim loves from long ago or is this who she has always been.

🤩 wow

Okay I have to admit, when I first started reading this series, I was a little disappointed. It was supposed to be about dragon shifters but there wasn’t much talk about shifting in the story until like the middle to the end. But the story plot was really good which is why I kept reading this series. As I kept reading each book it just got better and better. Dean saw something in these six men when they were young that no one else saw. When Dean died he had left his ranch and an old run down hotel for them. Together the original six built Dean’s legacy in to something amazing along with the other two dragon shifters that came and also with each of their wives. There is more shifting as the series goes. Now to this book, Maddy was a true brat her father decide that tough love would only work with her. He cut her off and that is where Tim comes in. Tim left his evil controlling father to work on the ranch with the other Dragon shifters. No one knew who his father was until Maddy’s father recognized him. The rest you have to read for yourself. This was a good/great series. Again I wish there was a little more shifting but the strong story plot will keep you wanting to read more. Dean knew what he was doing when he took those young men under his wing. ❤️

A phenomenal conclusion!

This book rocks! The final story of the Cowboy Dragon’s Inn and it’s Tim’s story. Running from his past, he has found a safe place at the ranch. Trouble seems to make its way to the hotel in the form of Madeline. The spoiled daughter of a friend of Mitchell’s, she’s determined to have everything her way, including a wedding to a man hiding secrets of his own. When her father makes a drastic decision, Tim is afraid his past has come back to haunt him but he is only tasked with helping Madeline learn to fend for herself. I love to watch Madeline change as she learns the truth about what she was really like and what she is now capable of accomplishing! It’s a rocky start but soon, things are changing and in a good way. They will remember the past they shared as children and start to move forward to their forever. There’s a bit of a bump when first her father and then Tim’s father show up, but the two will prove that love truly conquers all and it will allow them to finally make their way to their happily ever after.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Madeline was a bridezilla. She was disrespectful to the staff, the chef and everyone at the hotel. Her fiancé was encouraging her to get all she could from her wealthy father. Her father finally had enough and disowned her. Her fiancé left with another woman.
Tim worked on the ranch with the owners.
He had witnessed some of Madeline’s outbursts and outrageous behaviors at the hotel. He had been persuaded by Madeline’s father to take her to the ranch. He was to teach her to work. He was a hard taskmaster at first. But he realized Madeline was finally getting a new perspective on life. At the same time he was fighting his attraction to her.
Maddy also feels a special spark around Tim.
It’s a good story with Madeline/Maddy learning about herself. She realizes she needs to change her behavior because it’s not working. She really grows as a person. She realizes there is more important things than material wealth. Plus Tim and Maddy are steamy together. It has lots of drama but a HEA.

So at the age of 18 Tim leaves home and ended up on the ranch where life is simple, work is hard and a group of men and their wives are his family. One day a beautiful woman and her fiancé arrive at the hotel, causes enough drama that the spoiled brides father refers to pay for the wedding, disown his daughter and the groom walks out on his bride to be. Just before the father leaves he get is daughter a job on the ranch and leaves her in the hands of Tim, the barn manager. That when Tim recognize the woman, Madeline from when he was younger when his father would bring him to Madeline home when their fathers were doing business, but there is something else that Tim remembers, there is something special about this spoiled woman that calls to him and wants to help her.

Madeline behaved so badly that her father cut her off and got her a job at the ranch.
Madeline was at the Silver Heels Hotel for her wedding but she had wanted to get married at the beach. Her husband-to-be Nicholas is on at her about getting her father to buy them a house but he wants Nicholas to sign a pre-nup which he refuses. She has been acting very badly to the staff as well as her father and after a row he loses his temper and tell her he is cutting her off but that he has arranged a job for her at the ranch owned by the same people as the hotel. Tim had recognized her father and to get his help he threatened to tell his father where he was. The next morning Tim finds himself picking up a very unhappy and angry Madelaine.

Dragon shifter Tim's family is rich but his father manipulates and ruins people's lives by using his shifter magic to control everyone. When Tim reached 18 he left home and started work on a ranch, the work may be hard but his life is simple, and the men and their wives he works with have become his family.

When Madeline, a spoiled soon to be bride and her fiancé arrive at the hotel they cause so much trouble that her father disowns her then the groom walks out. Before her father left he arranged for her to work on the ranch leaving her under Tim's control. After her father left Tim recognized her from when he was younger and his father would take him to Madeline's home when their fathers were conducting business. Tim remembers there's something special about her and he wants to help her.

Okay, so Tim's father is a manipulative jerk and then some. At eighteen, Tim leaves his home and gets a job on a ranch. It's hard work, but the scenery is beautiful and it's a fulfilling life. However, the scenery is about to get more beautiful. Madeline is at a hotel and prepping for her wedding. Unfortunately, things get messy and her fiance walks out, her father refuses to pay for the wedding and....he gets Maddie a job on a ranch. Well, if that's not enough for one young woman to take in, seems the gorgeous man that will be working with her on the farm is an old childhood friend. Well, guess that's about it. Whoops, sorry, I mean for my review. This story definitely packs a much bigger punch than that. Get comfortable, this is a a five star page turner you're not going to want to stop reading.

Madeline arrives at the ranch/hotel as a spoiled rich brat, getting ready for a wedding. Soon after, her world falls apart and her father leaves her at the ranch to learn how to behave better and learn how to interact with others. Tim is one of the cowboys she is working for and when they start a relationship, it sets in motion a flurry of changes, emotions, entertaining situations and a love that has taken a long time to come alive. Love all the characters at the ranch, their deep friendship and commitment. Maddy becomes a much better person and is in the thick of it when things go terribly bad for the ranch, horses and cattle. She does have some spunkiness in her attitudes. The ending is perfect, quite a few problems are resolved and their future looks bright. Well done.

After being introduced to Madeline (the spoiled, entitled bratty MC), I really didn’t expect to like this book as much as I did! It didn’t seem possible for such an awful person to ever become genuinely likeable or redeemable. However, I’ve enjoyed the plots of the other books in this series and forced myself to keep reading. Kudos to the author! I began to feel sympathy for Madeline (Maddy), and even started rooting for her HEA with Tim. By the time their HEA arrived, the book had become so believable that I was fully engaged with the characters and their story. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed and can recommend both his book and the rest of the series. I received a review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Tim moved to the country to work on a friends ranch trying to get away from his old life of living with money.
But it seems his old life is harder to get away from than he thought when an old friend who is getting marries turns up at the hotel his bosses own. But she is still the spoilt brat he remembers from his childhood and when her father recognises him, he asks him for help teaching Madeline a lesson.
Will Tim be able to make Madeline see there are more things to life than getting what she wants and spending money.

I enjoyed reading this story and would recommend it. This is the 8th book in the series and I would recommend reading them all.

Tim and Maddy . . .

Maddy was a spoiled, nasty rich girl who was acting out once again as they are getting ready for her wedding. Her groom is after her money and refuses to sign a prenuptial agreement. Her father had enough of her bad behavior and disowns her. He recognizes Tim at the hotel and makes arrangements for Tim to be Maddy’s boss at the ranch. Tim worked on the ranch with the owners and Maddy’s father asked them to do this as a favor for him. Maybe that way it will teach her some manners?

Tim knew her from when they were younger. He believes she might actually be his mate, but she is too much trouble. Will she ever grow up? Will Tim and Maddy get closer to each other as he tries to teach her? Or will she continue to be too much trouble to tame?

Another great addition to this series. I loved Tim and Maddie’s story. Madeline (Maddy) was truly a spoiled insensitive rich girl who thought she should get whatever she wanted. Her fiancée was only after he money and when her father finally had enough, he left here alone in Alma, cut off her funds and her fiancée left with another woman. She needed to learn how to fend for herself and Tim was the man to teach her. A good storyline and the characters were well developed. As Maddie realized how terrible she had acted and came to grips with it, she transformed into a sweet and loving person and the bond between the two grew stronger.

All Tim wanted was to have a simple life away from his father. Little did he know that past would come back to haunt him, with his new employee who had been his friend as a child, Maddy.

Madeline arrived in town with the intent on making wedding plans, with her father and fiancé. When she has a full blown tantrum, her father decides he has enough and cuts her off. When her fiancé leaves her stranded with no money, she is forced to get a job at the ranch.

Tim’s believes she is mate but she needs to stop being bratty child before that can happen. Will Maddy’s new live situation cause her to get a new attitude or will these two fated mates be destined to be apart?.

Tim & Maddie's Story

Love, LOVE, this series. This one was especially well written, a page turning adventure, so full of drama. I believe you'll love it. There's moments where you'll want to shake a few people! As always, a HEA in the Cowboy Dragon's series.

Watching Madeline, a human, change from a spoiled, naive & easily controlled woman that calls herself Maddie. Alone by itself is worth the read. Watching, and cheering for, Tim, a Dragon, as he fights his own demons and the mate bond is the whip cream on top.

Enjoy their journey of maturity (not as stale as it sounds), trust, self-worth and inner strength...oh hell, the sex is worth the read people! ;).

This is the eighth book in the Cowboy Dragons' Inn series. You can read as a standalone but it is connected to the other books. I've enjoyed this series so much and was so happy to see it continuing past the original six owners’ stories. Tim is hiding out working on the ranch when he runs into someone from his old life. Henry ropes Tim into helping him teach his spoiled, bratty daughter Madeline what its like to work for a living hoping she'll grow up and stop acting like a bratty child. I really enjoyed watching Madeline's character grow and mature throughout the story. Wonderful addition to the series. Loved it!.

Tim is happy where he is and keeping, he past right there...in the past. However, when he is told to help Madeline learn to survive on her own, he worries what will happen. At first everything is a struggle for her but soon Madeline sees that she can take care of herself. Sparks fly between her and Tim. Yet when their fathers get together things go crazy. Will they find a way to be together?

This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

TIM AND MADELINE

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Tim is hiding his identity when Madeline’s father runs into him. Madeline is out of control and her father recruits Tim to show her how life can be if she isn’t a pampered princess. I like the way Tim tries to break her only to find that he wants to remold her with her belonging to him. Serena gets the characters together and they overcome their animosity towards each other to find that life doesn’t have to be what they were running from. The outcome is a HEA.

Tim is just your ordinary dragon shifter trying to do a good job on a ranch while hiding out from his father. Maddy is pretty much a spoiled brat. Though, it’s hard to emphasize with Madeliene at first, I eventually got there. Even though Tim pretty much knows that Madeliene is his mate, he tries to fight it.
This book was so interesting and entertaining. I simply could not stop reading it! This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!.

Tim is asked by Maddy's father to teach her a lesson as her spoiled little rich girl tantrums are out of control. Life on the Ranch is hard for Maddy at first but the special connection between her and Tim helps her find her true self but parental pressure from both their fathers threatens their life on the Ranch. This is an interesting and enjoyable series. The way the shifter friends work together is powerful.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Madeline/Maddy and Tim and does not let go. She acts like an entitled princess and makes everyone around her miserable. When her father asks Tim to teach her another way of life, he accepts the challenge. However, it seems as if Madeline and Tim do nothing but clash. Will he be able to help her?

Talk about a spoiled brat OMG! she is a bride from hell her dad puts her in her place all in one day she loses her dad and fiancé. Good riddance to the fiancé. Tim is given the job of making her realize what she has become. They actually know each other from when they were kids. This has action, drama, and steam. The past catches up to Tim. Great characters and story.

The characters are engaging and entertaining with plenty of chemistry. At first not sure how I felt about Madeline but as the storyline unfolded and her character started to shine through I was rooting for both her and Tim who had his own problems. I loved the ending it closed the book with both coming out in a better place.

This book didn't disappoint, it's as good as the others in this series. Tim and Maddy's story was just as exciting as the others. Maddy was a rich spoiled brat and Tim was a dragon cowboy that helped her find the person she really wanted to be. With a lot of drama and Tim's problems with his father, Tim and Maddy find their love for one another. I really enjoyed reading this book and the others in this series.

I love this series but I had to admit that I did not think this book was going to be as good as the others because of the way Madeline was acting. She was simply horrendous and self entitled but she redeemed herself and turned out to be a decent human being. The author did a great job with this book and gave us the perfect conclusion for the series.
