I was not a fan of this read 🥺.

I'm glad it was a freebie... I have some other books from this series, but I'll personally skip them.

The writing is juvenile and choppy. Like short sentences, his thoughts are weirdly composed. There are a few mistakes here and there, plus some unbelievable coincidences.

I picked it up because it sounded interesting, and I could not concentrate on longer reads, so I needed a breaker.

This one didn't work for me, but maybe it will work for other readers 😊.

I love a good forbidden romance and age gap! This is a dads best friend forbidden romance with a huge age gap and you jump into the spice immediately from page 1! An easy and quick read that everyone should pick up. If you’re looking for something like this, this is the book for you! I absolutely enjoyed reading this book! Pearl and Colton should not want each other but they can’t keep denying the attraction they have to each other even if it will cause some tension between friends. I love that pearl knew what she wanted and went for it, who cares about consequences when you get what you want?! And that’s a sexy older man! 😏

Cool age gap love story

I loved the characters and also the build up of the story. The fact that Pearl is a phone actress is a nice touch. I have a friend who does it for a job and she enjoys her work too, lol. The age gap thing wasn't as touchy a problem as the other relationships in the story and that aspect was well written too. Overall, it really is just a sweet whirlwind relationship with added spice. It was easy to read and has a fast pace. I enjoyed reading this new to me author's work!

Nice short story. Dual perspective, both his and hers. Nice storyline featuring a couple of different taboo tropes. The steam was decent. Needs some editing, there are some typos that make me re-read sections to figure out what happened (he instead she, missing letters, etc.) All in all, quick read, scratches an itch for quick and dirty.

Quick Read

Over all good story. I don’t think this writing style is for me. It had some good plot points. Others may enjoy this read but just wasn’t for me writing style wise.
