I found this collection of stories both charming and deeply moving. Through it I was introduced to the exquisite poetry of Rumi. The central story, The Feather in Your Heart, reminds me of the inclusive appreciation for religions held by the central character in The Life of Pi.

If you loved The Life of Pi but hesitate to share it with younger family members, see if you can find this one out there. It's very short and comes in a kit with trading cards and a poster, specially designed to instill a love of storytelling in children.

I just re-bought it from Amazon (for about $8 including shipping) for my son and myself.
