The Price of Freedom

Rate this book
10 years before the American Civil War, a family of Slaves hatches a plan to escape their Master's Plantation in South Carolina and find their way to a Free State. It's a bold plan. With the help of caring people, of many colors, they are determined to succeed. The story is told from the perspective of David, a young Slave Boy who learns many lessons.
The places and events are historically correct. Many of the events did happen. The decade from 1850 to 1861 has many similarities to the times we live in today. The book explores a question? Did we learn from History or are we repeating it?.
