Wow, now Darla's going to have an ice cream truck thanks to her friend Sammy, well as soon as Caleb gets it all detailed. At least her fish 'n chips truck got done before their next event where someone crucial to the outcome of a meeting went missing...was it more? Was it murder?

Caleb got to do a little sleuthing with Darla this time, and I think he liked it! I'm happy to see them making a little more progress toward being a little more than friends too. I just love Darla's happy crew of workers, and it'll be interesting to see how her sister's going to blend in with this bunch once she gets to town. She did get in, but it was at the very end. I'm assuming the next book might talk about her stay and what adventures aka murder she and Darla might stumble onto next time! Can't wait to borrow the next in KU!

These books just keep staying as good as the next one before. They pick up where the last one left off from. Although each is a stand alone so you don’t have to read the ones before to read this one. But after reading any of them you will want to find the series and read from book one. Getting to know the quirky characters and the town people are great!
Each book is a mystery and not each book is a murder. Each one is a clean book so I can honestly recommend it to anyone including my preteen advanced reading friends or anyone wanting a good clean book to read. See if you can solve the mystery before the author reveals it through the character.

Seventh book in an excellent series

Darla is hired to bring her two food trucks to a watch party for sea turtles hatching. The first day goes great but the next morning one of the lead scientists can not be found. He was going to be the main presenter at a town hall meeting to determine if a strip mall could be built on the turtle hatching beach. Lots of twists and turns with a surprise ending. A fun read.

Turtle egg hatching, a developer wanting to build a strip mall where the turtle lay their eggs, a kidnapping…. what has Darla Jones and her crew gotten themselves into? Still loving this cozy mystery series.

Read 1 to 7

Left a review for book 1 but not since, stories are fantastic, however the coding to digital is getting worse, spoiling my enjoyment somewhat. I'm glad it's free on ku and I didn't pay for such poorly coded books.

Good book

I enjoy Darla and her trucks. She has knack for finding the truth of each case she looks into. Darla seems to Find the hints.
