Ghost of an Inheritance

Rate this book
Where love blossoms but dreams collide.

Lia's father inherits a transplanted Irish castle in the idyllic Pacific Northwest. Pausing her plans to open a dessert café with a friend in California, she commits to spend the summer helping her family with renovations. She discovers the estate comes with two unexpected surprises: a restless ghost—and her old crush, Coop, the handsome groundskeeper.

Lia finds herself tangled in a web of old affections, especially when Coop sets out to untangle her knotted heart. But he is as committed to the estate as the resident ghost, while her long-held plans are waiting for her hundreds of miles away.

Fearing the specter’s escalating activities could derail events at the castle, Lia and Coop must unearth what keeps him bound to the estate. All while facing a heart-wrenching decision: pursue separate futures or stake their cherished dreams against a love that only promises a new beginning.

This clean romance delves into the very essence of second chances—both for a family adjusting to their quirky new residence and a spirit grappling with eternal rest.

"Ghost of an Inheritance" by Donna K. Weaver
A FUN GHOST STORY – read it !
I don't remember when I have read such a fun story with one of the main characters being a ghost. Yes, I loved this story. Yes, I found it difficult to take breaks to attend real life tasks. And, Yes, it is a light easy reading fun contemporary romance story. Have I used the word 'fun' too many times? Nah, not me, and not this time. I sure do hope you enjoy this story as much as I did. Happy Reading ! !
NOTE: I received an ARC of this story from the author with the request to report typo's.
This review expresses my honest opinion.

When the Savages inherit a castle that has been moved stone-by-stone from Ireland to the US, they have big plans for it. Moving their family from Sacramento to the castle has a few drawbacks. The twins get blamed for a lot of things they are not responsible for.
Enchanting book by a really good author.

Great Read

This was a real easy read that kept your attention. It was fun to learn about the castle and in vision making it into a bed and breakfast and a fun event place. I would love to go visit. I loved Millie and how she had a little bond with the ghost and how she was able to see him. I liked watching Lia and Coop get to know each other. They went on some neat dates. I enjoyed this book very much

Wonderful

A great story! Sweet love story and a bit of mystery and a lot of sisterly love. A few laughs and even a tear or two! Wow, it has it all! I've read about the castle in Washington and at first I thought it was the same story but totally amazing in similar ways but so different as well. Anxious to read more in this series!

Lia's family arrives at their inherited castle only to find strange things happening. She & her sister have seen Sir Hugh's blue mist but can't figure out what he wants. This is an enjoyable, quick read. I wonder what the next book is about.

I received a free copy of Ghost of an Inheritance: A Wildstone Mystery/Romance book one by Donna K. Weaver and this review was given freely.
Poignant with a happy ending this easy-flowing story contains a century-old quest, a village in flux, and a second chance at love.
Aided by her seven-year-old sister Mellie and her younger twin brothers, Twenty-year-old twin and pastry chef Lia Savage struggles with her growing feelings for groundskeeper Cooper Montgomery, her plans to open a bakery in Sacramento with her best friend Taylor, her parents’ plan to turn their newly inherited Castle “The Citadel” in Washington State into a bed and breakfast, and with the sometimes dangerous pranks of her distant ancestor, the frustrated and grieving Sir Hugh Savage.

The Savage family inherit a castle, village and a ghost. The ghost Hugh is looking for an item that belonged to his daughter but when they moved his castle they did not put everything back where it belonged and he cannot find it. Lia and Millie can see the ghost but no one else can. The twins Eli and Joel try catching the ghost but keep failing, however they are getting blamed for everything the ghost does. Things come to a head when the ghost takes something they love.
This was a good read and a page turner. I really enjoyed the antics and the family dynamics. I would recommend this book to all. This is my second time reading this book and I enjoyed it both times.

What a fun setting for a story. I love the idea of a European castle being brought to the US and then turned into an attraction destination. I would love to visit the Citadel. Lia and Coop are a cute couple. I enjoyed reading their story and how they supported and trusted each other. The ghost was an interesting twist. I'm not usually a fan of ghost stories, but I enjoyed this one.
