“Real power is not grasping or vengeful. It is quiet, but it is still fierce. It is a whisper you hear inside yourself.”
By now, my hopes of a quiet life in the Otherworld are dead and buried. I’ve accepted that I’m the prophesied eternal girl, but Ezra wants me to keep it under wraps. We can’t be certain unless I step into a tank with the magical octopus, and I’ve had quite enough of batty Wildwoods rituals, thank you very much.
When I receive an offer to turbo charge my druid training, I jump into the deep end and don’t flinch. A new threat is rising. I can feel it in my waters, even before Dad is kidnapped and I’m forced into working with my wayward brother. To make matters worse, a rogue goddess emerges to take Londoners to their watery grave.
With Ezra now a senator and Marina knee-deep in researching how to keep me safe, my allies are few and far between, but I still have my trusty leopard. A visit to an otherworldly chiropractor to fend off the midlife aches and I’m ready to live up to my true potential. I’ll be damned if Dad and countless others succumb to dark undercurrents on my watch.

Hard Lessons Are Learned!🐍😥💔🙏 Midlife Drift: Druid Heir Book #4 (A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel)
With the idea that it's better to seek forgiveness than permission, Alisha and Marina are off to the Celestial Library. With how busy Ezra is, now he's a Senator; he's more fearful of how gungho Alisha is, as he can't jump to her aid at the drop of a hat as easily anymore! When Alisha returns alone, Ezra asks her to look into a location with him. Echo helps and finds a little girl alone outside on a bench. The female shop owner seems not only under dressed but threatening; she also claims to know Alisha's Dad!😲 Then her Dad turns out to be missing; it all points to something fishy going on!🐟
Returning without her best friend and guiding light shouldn't have the profound effect it does on Alisha! Her uncle is awful. I hope we don't see much more of him. Sahil did so much better in this book, mostly.🙈 I was impressed with Ezra; he showed he was jealous but also that he took her at her word and trusted her!💘 That's so unusual in books; it's common in life, in my experience, so I don't know why that is! Orpheus grows on me more with every book.*swoon* The terrifying octopus is back!🐙
The latter half of this story really built up and had a huge payoff; it's all worth the wait.😎 I loved the growth Alisha went through during this book. One revelation in particular was fun.😉 Another gripping read.😍
I received this book in a giveaway and am sharing my honest review.
This was the first book in this series that I received, so after reading the synopsis, I went back to start the series from the beginning, and I fell in love with the characters.
N.Z. Nasser does a great job of making sure Alisha grows in every installment. I love seeing how she becomes more confident with her skills and herself throughout the book, how she learns to rely on her friends and herself, how she stands up for the greater good and herself. Noticing a pattern? While Marina and Orpheus are definitely my favourite characters, I really like the way Alisha addresses and takes on the problems in these books. The stories, interactions, and conflict in this book (indeed the whole series) are all fun and well thought out. Can't wait to read Book 5!
Once again Nasser captures the reader with her incredible gift of writing imagery. Her worldbuilding is some of the best I have ever read. I love that I experience real emotions reading her books. I felt Alisha's anxiety, impatience, love, fear, and determination. The villain in this book is great! She's cruel and viscious and so full of herself. You love to hate her. There are unexpected surprises from some of my favorite characters throughout the entire book. It's so clever how Nasser writes these twists with the characters yet still manages to keep their profiles and identities consistent. Love the book! Love the author! Love the characters! It's a re-read for sure.
Book 4 in the Druid Heir series is fun and interesting. There are dome unexpected feels going on throughout the story. It is fascinating watching the world and the characters continue to grow and develop, and not all in the ways expected. I have been impatient waiting for this book to drop, read it too fast and now can't wait for the next t book in the series.
Another fantastic chapter in a magical druid life. I really love the vampire more and more in each book but all the characters are fantastic and its all wonderful to watch as they all continue to grow together. Look forward to book 5!!
Another mad goddess who's lost her way & decides to take everyone down with her. Our druid has come to expect kinds of yhings happening around her. In this case though, the goddess makes it personal when she kidnaps the father
