The Explorer Bible for Kids is a wonderful adventure Bible for readers who want to learn more about God’s Word and the world around them.
This hardback Christian Standard Bible (CSB) contains the entire biblical text (New and Old Testaments) with added illustrations and fascinating facts to help readers love and understand each book and apply what they learn to their everyday lives. The pages are sturdy, the font (9.5-Point) is easy to read, and words of Jesus are in red.
I love the youthful and colorful illustrations and how the book is organized. Introduction pages feature who, what, when, where, and why, and each Bible book contains colorful feature sections that encourage kids to dig in and explore further. Some of these sections are:
• Excavating the Past
• Exploring Creation
• Character Field Guides
• Christ in Context
• Charting History
• Discovering Truth
A few (partial) examples of the Exploring Creation sections:
What is seven inches long, has a 50-mile-per-hour punch, is as colorful as a rainbow, and is strong enough to break glass? It’s the PEACOCK MANTIS SHRIMP!

I’m always on the lookout for new kids' Bibles. They make the best gifts and God’s word is essential for them. The new CSB Explorer Bible for Kids from Holman is pretty impressive.
The Bible is available in hardcover and in four different Leathertouch styles. The lever is for grades 1 through 6th grade.
The Bible has an introduction page for each book of the Bible. It highlights key points about the time period, who wrote the book, the audience the book was written to, why it was written, and Christ in Context. The Christ in Context connects Jesus and how it points towards our Savior and other information.
There are other components like Exploring Creation that highlights facts and also images that show you modern objects and things that are in our modern time to God and the Bible. They are 115 in teal boxes throughout the Bible.
Another area that has always found interesting is Excavating the Past. It highlights archaeological and historical discoveries. You can find 205 of them in green boxes. You can look them up also in the Table in front of your Bible.
Other study tools include: Discovering the Truth, Character Field Guides, Charting History, and Archiving Discoveries. You can download activity pages using QR Codes throughout.
In the back of the Bible, you will see some familiar things that most adult Bibles have. It seems that several children’s Bibles have taken out some of these features. I was delighted to see: A Table of Weights and Measures, an Explorer Glossary, and Index of Bible Stories, separated by Old Testament and New Testament. Topical
Concordance, QR Code that links scriptures, and Maps.
The CSB Explorer Bible for Kids is a wonderful Bible for the age recommendation. I do think older kids would enjoy the depth and resources in this Bible. It has a lot of opportunities to help kids want to dig deeper into God’s word. There is nothing in the Bible that I find concerning.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE
Each book of the Bible includes a page that answers the following questions: who wrote it, the targeted audience, and where, why and when it was written.
illustrations of foods, animals, and plants of the day, geographical, histories, archeology, the characters, facts, and QR codes for further reading. The back of the Bible has charts, a glossary, indexes, and maps. It has a satin ribbon attached to help mark last page read. My son loves it and constantly have questions and looking up for information for him. I found the Bible a great way to inspire him and gives him a better understanding of God’s word.
I love this Explore Bible for Kids. I think children should have a Bible they are proud to carry around and this is an excellent choice. And the thing is, it has the neatest thing inside they will want to explore it more and more. Some of what’s inside is really good book introductions, Christ in Context which is very interesting, Ribbon Marker, Presentation Page and much much more. The outside of the Bible is awesome, with the cool burst of colors on the front and back cover, and other illustrations inside. I just love this Bible for the kid in your life. I highly recommend this amazing Bible. I love the pictures of all of the food, plants and animals and much more. You have to get this Bible and read it for yourself to really get the idea of what all it contains.This will be the perfect Christmas gift for the kids in your life.

Children using this Bible can truly become explorers! As they read this Christian Standard Bible version of God's Word, they're invited to learn about the history and culture of the time and place mentioned. There are color illustrations, timelines, maps, and actual photographs to encourage them to dig deeper. Children of this generation love technology so they will be drawn to the special QR codes that take them to videos, discussion questions, and activity pages. I especially liked that the introduction to each book of the Bible offers children the answers to the important "Who, What, When, and Why” questions and that the words spoken by Jesus are printed in red text.
The title implies that it's for kids but this CSB Explorer Bible for Kids is perfect for the whole family to use. It's a wonderful resource for both personal and church libraries and it would also be a perfect Christmas gift!

I would recommend this awesome children’s Bible to any child aged 4-13. I think adults would even enjoy using this Bible. The Bible contained colorful pages, pictures, and maps to appeal to children into wanting to learn more about God’s Holy word. I enjoyed how the Bible shared the story of Luke 10 and how they included how much it would cost us in today’s times if we were the Samaritan man taking care of our neighbor. It broke it down to bandages, olive oil, first aid kit, two nights in a hotel, two day’s wages, and two days of food. They totaled the estimated cost would be close to $500 dollars. I beg to differ that it could even cost more with prices increasing daily. I also loved how the Bible enclosed special sections: charting history, discovering the truth, excavating the past, character field guide, exploring creation, just to name a few. I loved how the Bible had QR codes throughout the Bible to help children to dive deeper into the message. I immensity loved the concept of the fun activities on online that children can print out to complete. These included matching games activities, trivia, crossword puzzles, definition match, and much more. I also liked learning about the beehive houses of Haran in Abraham times and how these houses are made from mud bricks and located in Turkey. The pictures of the bee style houses are very interesting. I loved the exploring creation section and how fun it was in learning about different creatures such as the peacock mantis shrimp and how they can break even glass with their claws. This shrimp are very bright colorful creatures. I honestly haven’t ever heard of them. Another thing I liked was how much it would take of special object to fill up the ark. For example, it would take 771,882,353 cell phones to fill up the ark. I also loved how they included an introduction explaining the background about the book of the Bible. I am also so glad they enclosed a red ribbon in the Bible to make it easier to mark your spot in the Bible.

The CSB Explorer Bible for Kids invites young readers to investigate both the world and words of Scripture, including the history of real people and their cultures. I do like the Christian Standard Bible and love that it is what is used. All of the additional info and special features provide knowledge for a child who wants to know more. I would have loved this Bible when I was young.
The QR Codes sounds like an amazing addition. To be honest, I have never scanned a QR Code and have no clue how it is done. I definitely need to add it to my list of things that I should learn! But, I imagine most kids do know how and will be pleased with the additional content available.
There are Leathertouch editions available, but I am reviewing the hardcover edition. I love the sturdy cover that will withstand daily use from younger kids and the ribbon bookmark. The pages are easy to read, too. I like it for older elementary school kids rather than beginning readers but it's a good one to grow into if you want this for a new reader. They do learn quickly and a bit harder is better than too easy. I do recommend this as a good Bible to give to a child.

Explorer Bible for Kids is a fabulous Bible for kids. My eleven year old son confiscated mine as soon as I received my copy in the mail. He has been carrying it around ever since and reads it every evening before bed. Each book of the Bible includes a page that answers the following questions: who wrote it, the targeted audience, and where, why and when it was written. My son has been asking about a new Bible and so I was excited for the opportunity for him and I to review this new Bible put out by BHKids - CSB Explorer Bible for Kids! This is a Bible that is also interactive. It has illustrations, important highlights, facts, insights to important people, timelines, study helps, introductions to each book, QR codes to take you to videos, and so much more that will help the young person in your life learn more about God in the Bible.
This is the perfect Bible for those reading on their own or to read together with your children. My son is enjoying reading all the extras in addition to reading the Bible. He is a visual reader, so this makes it engaging for him and to keep reading more! This Bible comes out just in time for Christmas gift-giving! I can't think of a better gift to give a child then a Bible for Christmas!

This Bible would make it easy for a kid to enjoy getting into learning God’s Word! The information and truths are presented in bite-sized pieces and the graphics are eye-catching. There are so many features in this new version of the CSB translation for kids, like fun facts, timelines, photography, and more! The QR codes take you to engaging videos, discussion questions, and activity pages. For ease of finding your way around the Bible, there are two tables of content – one in order and one sorted alphabetically. You might want to borrow this for the kid in your life and use it for your own Bible study time.

Great Bible for children. Liked the illustrations what a wonderful job. I found there are QR codes kids can scan for more to the story and activities.. God's words are in red. Maps are in full color and nice size print to read. Would make a wonderful Christmas gift. Only way our children are going to learn about Christ is if we take time and study the Word with them. Excellent Children's Bible. They can come and explore the word of God.

Giving young readers the chance to learn more about Scripture and getting closer to their faith is super. The Bible has beautiful easy to read font and the passages are written with easy to understand words. There are bonus points included and the overall design is going to make an eye catching gift. If you are into God and want to spread the love with your friends or family this is a great choice.

God's Word is so important but sometimes it can be difficult for a child to get excited about reading it. I believe this Bible is a great tool to overcome those obstacles. This is a Bible for children of all ages. Not a storybook type of Bible but a great study Bible for children with the tools and features that will instill in your child a great wonder and love of the Word of God. I can't wait to give my review copy to my grandson!
