LOKI'S HEART - by Sky Purington - 4.5 STARS
Unique story on Snow White
I received an ARC of Sky Purlington story Loki's Heart. I also, purchased the bundle that this story is in called ONCE UPON AN EVER AFTER. (ljb)
I read The Unknown Kings first by this author and this should have been read first. Didn't ruin it for me, just follows a secondary character in this story who is the main in The Unknown Kings.
As in the previous mentioned story, I was somewhat lost for a good 1/4 of the book. Since these are the only two I've read in the series it took me awhile to feel a connection. Once I did it was an amazing trip to HEA. I'm not a fan of retelling of fairy tales because I always find them lacking. Wow, can't say that in this story that's for sure. Such a unique concept of the retelling of Snow White, that I loved it and that is saying a lot.
Plus two characters had very similar names and that confused me when I was unfamiliar with them - Raven and Revna. Yes, I'm old so maybe that is why it was confusing.
Mild lovemaking described at the very end - heat level barely 4 out of 5.
No cheating, interesting main and secondary characters, HEA, and tad of steam. (ljb)

First story I am going to review (update as I read more) is G R Loreweaver's 'A Tale of Love & Torment'. It is a retelling of The Frog Prince, but with a gender role swap. We have a princess who on the eve of getting married is thrown into a horrible event that causes her to be cursed and only with the coming together of three will her curse be broken. This is a great story, with a HEA for the ages. I read it on and off over my day (because sometimes life doesn't allow a one sitting read).
Second story I read was Tale of Blood and Snow by Lizzy Prince. What a retelling with an adult twist of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (or in this case Wolves). It had an evil stepmother who was also a witch, our sweet Snow (who isn't just pale skinned and pretty), Cash (a dreamy hottie wolf), and THE SEVEN, love Doc! You have steam, you have danger and violence, but most of all, a HEA for the ages. What more could you ask for? Enjoy reading this one, I sure did!

All Croaked Up
G. R. Loreweaver’s most recent book, ‘A Tale of Love & Torment’, is part of the Twisted Fairytale Collection and is showing as being cursed. That means the FMC, Calliope, in this story is cursed. How you may ask? Well she accidentally pushes her Lady in Waiting down the stairs thus breaking her neck. I know it was an accident she didn’t deliberately try to harm her but she still needs to be punished for her crime. The curse is a riddle that must be solved within four days or her life will forever remain imprisoned in her binds. This book is full of exciting adventure, mystery, suspense and romance that kept me entranced until the very last page. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Entertaining risqué fairy tales with zigs and zags!
We all grow up with some sort of fairy tales as children…however, these are creative and quite unexpected adult versions of such. Grab some popcorn and chocolate, have a curl up on the couch and enjoy a rather naughty Red (Riding Hood) who travels human and supernatural realms with a steamy Wolf by her side (author Ashley Kay), or a rather likeable and upstanding Witch who has to deal with a very bad Hansel and Gretel, assisted by a Granddaughter who falls for a sexy Shifter (author C.D. Gorri)…and the list goes on with more wickedly tasty mayhem herein!

This review is for Tale of Blood and Snow by Lizzy Prince.
This is an anthology of fairy tales with a twist. The story I read was a big twist on Snow White and it blew me away. I really enjoyed it! There were some classic twists and turns but Lizzy put a new spin on it. I loved Cashel- he’s definitely my new book boyfriend.

This was a wonderful addition to this anthology and I can’t wait to read the others in this book!! Five shining stars!

I did not read many fairytales when I was younger so some of these fairytales may seem new to me, but I like the idea of taking a fairytale and putting your own spin on it. I enjoyed being able to read the story A Tale of Love and Torment by G.R. Loreweaver, she does an amazing job. After reading her story I had to purchase the book to read how each other author puts their spin on the rest of the featured fairytales. If you love HEAs and stories that can keep you on your toes and guessing what will happen then this book is a must.

A Tale of Love and Torment is an incredible short story. Calli, Quinn, and Ashton make a perfect trio. After Calli calls on Quinn and Ashton for help to cover up a crime, the three end up cursed and must face their true feelings to break the curse. This twisted fairytale is fun, sexy, and enthralling. G.R. Loreweaver did an amazing job writing this story, I absolutely could not put it down! I would 100% recommend.

This short story absolutely had me on the edge of my sit! I could not put it down and finished it in one go! I recently got into fairy tell retellings and G.R Loreweaver did not disappoint on this retelling of the princess and the the frog. I loved following the characters, the drama, the mystery, the romance and most definitely the spice. 100% did not disappoint and definitely recommend!

Absolutely loved G.R. Loreweaver's retelling of The Frog Prince 🐸 It's a #whychoose so you know it's got some 🥵 It was written so smoothly that I hardly paused to take a sip of my drink. All of the characters meshed so well together! I especially loved the chemistry between the FMC and the men! Obsessed with how the men 🤤 over the FMC. There was a bit of action and suspense that made this retelling that much better 🔥 Can't wait to read the rest of the stories!

Fairytales with a Twist
This is such a great collection of fairytales with a twist. I absolutely loved A Tale of Love & Torment. It is a story about a princess who is cursed for her actions and along with her men…yes M-E-N, they must all break the curse. It is a fun quick read that has the perfect amount of humor, drama, spice, and angst. The storyline will keep you captivated and on the edge of your seat, anxiously turning page after page to find out what happens.

A tale of love and torment what an apt name for this delicious short story . I had many laugh at loud moments with this story.The witty wording had me rolling. This was by far the best retelling of the princess and the frog with a very awesome twist.

I love everything G.R. Loreweaver writes, and I once again am not disappointed. There were several scenes in A Tale of Love and Torment that had me laughing, and I think the funniest is Quinn’s line about pointing. I love spicy scenes, and this has the spice.

As a lover of fairytale retellings, this was a fun collection to sort through. Definitely much more unique than I expected which is always a good thing!
Best part? These stories are long! I’d say it’s more a collection of novelettes than short stories as each one is several chapters in length. It really allowed time to get into each plot and develop the characters!
I found that I didn’t connect with all these stories but that is often the case when you have multiple ones! But I can say that each one was well written, well paced, and with well crafted characters. Your favorites are just going to depend on personal taste.
Expect some spicy scenes. I think each story had at least a few and dive into some creative adventures!

I received an ARC of the book Tale of Blood and Snow by Lizzy Prince, and I loved it! I love a good twisted retelling of a classic fairytale, and Lizzy did not disappoint. Rebel is our Snow White, Cash is Prince Charming and Melanthe is our wicked evil stepmother who wishes she was good enough to be queen. Rebel is the perfect Snow in that she's extremely timid, shy and lives to be invisible so she doesn't incur her stepmother's wrath. But as she realizes who she really is, and all the secrets of her past are uncovered she really begins to come into her own. And Cash...holy wow that man is so swoon worthy. He's alpha, but with a dash of sweet and mushy for Rebel that's practically irresistible. And Melanthe... I have read many of Lizzy's books, and let me tell you she knows how to write a villain that you will absolutely hate! I cannot wait to read the other stories in this book!

This is for C D. Gorri's: Sweet As Candy only. An interesting take on Hansel and Gretel, Candy comes home because her witchy Grandma has been accused of kidnapping & fattening up the children, Hansel and Gretel, to eat them. She comes home to run her grandmother's shop, prove granny innocent and that's all. I mean her neighbor is cute and all, but her arrested Granny. Luke and Candy have to prove her grandmother's innocence, get to the bottom of the kidnapping, and fall in love. The last part is just a bonus. I love this retelling with it's twists and turns

I literally stayed up all night and devoured this book! I loved her take on Snow White! We’ve got our traditional Snow with the Evil Queen Witch of a stepmother but then! Then my friends we meet the Prince and the seven “dwarves”🔥🔥🔥 Hello hot sexy WEREWOLVES!!
The story was fast paced, filled with steam, and so unique! Absolutely loved it

I'm reviewing for A Tale of Love and Torment. It's an incredible twist on the princesses and the frog fairytale. Instead of the Prince being turned into a frog it's the Princesses. After a terrible turn of events Callie seeks out the help of Quinn and Ash to help cover up a crime. They are cursed for it and must face their true feelings in order to break the curse placed on them by the forest Guardian. This twisted tale is told in a way that is sexy and keeps you turning the pages.

I will forever be a sucker for anything fairytale and G.R. Loreweaver's A Tale of Love & Torment definitely delivered!
I love G.R.'s writing. I am automatically sucked into the story like I am actually the MC. I couldn't put it down and I kept wanting to know more!

Sweet As Candy by CD Gorri is a modern twist on the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale. It's a short, sweet read about Candy saving her grandmother, but not from the Wolf.

Firstly, I received Loki’s Heart by Sky Purington as an ARC for my honest review.
Secondly, after seeing who the authors were in the collection I bought the book. Some of them read and the others I’ll enjoy checking their writing styles. Who knows maybe I’ll find another author I am hooked on reading. As I have done with Sky.

This way you’ll see how they’ve become in the spot they’re in. What is so special about Loki’s heart? What does it have to with Revna? Is it to save Loki from someone or something? Are there traps or victories along the way? Any helpers in figuring it all out? Most of all, what is their happily ever after? Grab the book, sit back and read the book to find the answers to these and enjoy the other author's stories in this collection. You really won’t be disappointed! I wasn’t!!

This is a review for a story inside this anthology: A Tale of Blood and Snow by Lizzy Prince. It’s a retelling of Snow White with wolf shifters and witches. Rebel, a young woman with a controlling stepmother, stumbles upon her mate one day and it’s instant attraction. After a terrible birthday that awakens her powers and reveals her stepmother’s evilness, Rebel runs and Cash saves her from a certain death. Together, they’ll fight to be free of Rebel’s stepmother and Cash’s uncle, the abusive alpha of pack Iron Claw. The story is good, I would have read a full length novel of this story! There’s a group of side characters called the Seven (who are basically Cash’s friend and lieutenants) that are a great addition. I loved the magic aspect of the story, with natural and unnatural witches, and how Rebel gets so much more confident by the end and all the little hints to Snow White.

This was a cute paranormal read, an interesting twist on Red Riding Hood! I wish the FMC had a bit more depth as I didn't really feel strongly about her. But I did really enjoy the MMC Wolf King's point of view! He was deep and growly and yum. I liked the conflict building here and I'm curious to see where it would go from this short story. I liked some of the side characters (like Duncan and Prue!) while some others felt flat or caricaturized. Overall, I'm intrigued by the shifters and magic system in this set of worlds and w0uld like to see it more developed.

This was a cute paranormal read, an interesting twist on Red Riding Hood! I wish the FMC had a bit more depth as I didn't really feel strongly about her. But I did really enjoy the MMC Wolf King's point of view! He was deep and growly and yum. I liked the conflict building here and I'm curious to see where it would go from this short story.
