This is a great book as an introduction to statics or, as I'm reading it this time, to bring yourself back up to speed on the subject. The really good parts of the book are its chapter structure and well written explanations of the theory. The chapter structure is effectively a bit of theory immediately followed by detailed examples. This sounds simple but many textbooks introduce a lot of little bits of theory followed by few examples, sometime with sparse details, and I find this makes learning a lot more difficult on those points you are finding a little bit harder to understand. Even though the examples are detailed and the theory is well written, the book is not verbose and on this 'review' reading I got through the entire book very quickly.
