Explore how to accelerate your career today and formulate your future plural career

After 26 years as a Procter & Gamble technology executive and five years as an Independent Board Director and Strategic Advisor, I’ve learned there is no epiphany more powerful than realizing that many leaders are completely trapped!

CEOs are trapped by their boards and investors; technology leaders are trapped by their colleagues that fail to see technology as truly strategic; the C-Suite is trapped by a lack of transparency from their internal and external advisors; and executives are trapped by a system of business processes that determines where they need to travel, what meetings they need to attend, and the 75% they must do because that’s the way it has always been done. Leaders are trapped playing not to lose, and it’s impacting them professionally, financially, and personally!

In Waiting Is Not an Accelerate Your Career Today & Formulate Your Future Plural Career , I share incredible teaching moments, insights on flourishing in a Fortune 500 enterprise, and the inside story on transitioning into a thriving plural career – board seats, strategic advisory roles, speaking, writing, and the associated multiple benefits. Whether you are starting your career, are frozen mid-career, or are in the C-Suite and feeling trapped, this book provides a proven approach to empower you to reach new heights.

A book I always wanted to read, from a humble, inspirational and visionary leader...
I’ve met Andy Walter early in my career at Procter and Gamble, and hit me right away: Andy was a different breed of IT leader. Grounded on the business understanding and his ability to develop very strong relationships with our business leaders, Andy had a great ability to lay a vision of what’s possible, energize the many stakeholders towards that goal, and then enable the organization to achieve that distant goal. I saw him operate at various times throughout my career, and always wanted to spend more time understanding his modus operandi. This book is finally my chance to better understand that, so I read it the day it came out. This is written with the same clarity that Andy always had, and in the profound and humble way Andy carried himself. The career-advice book aisle is long and wide, and many executives write books…Andy’s advice is the real deal, grounded on his deep desire to share his wisdom. It will be some of the best hours you’ll invest in yourself.
