Sato Tsubame sensei drew these two volumes about the two Sales division heads, in between the release of related books 俺が好きなら跪け (2018) and 俺が好きなら媚びてみろ (2022). The younger couple also makes guest appearance here, being subordinates of the older couple.
Dare I say these two 38 year olds are now my favorite yaoi couple? It’s so satisfying to read mature adult story about work, love, responsibilities, relationships and life in general.
They entered the bank as fresh grads in the same year and have worked together for 16 years. Being top performers in the Sales department, they compete and collaborate at the same time.
Reading about the flash back to their junior years I think the two main characters saw bright spots in each other already, but it was more like appreciation than attraction back then.
The seme is a workaholic, always the last person leaving the building. He just got divorced from flight attendant ex-wife half year ago because he’s considered “useless” to her…
Although he has a rough look and doesn’t care much about appearance, he actually has a soft and caring heart, showing kindness to those around him and even strangers.
The uke recently broke off with his ex-partner, which is more like sex buddy because that guy is a client and has a gf. The uke feels he cannot find a decent partner for a long term relationship due to his sexuality and job…
