Silver Springs Ranch #7

How To Rope A Naked Cowboy

Rate this book
All she wants is a simple day outdoors to clear her mind and figure out a game plan for her life. After months of being little more than a reclusive shut-in, Noelle Addams forces herself to spend the hot summer day on one of the trails at Silver Springs Ranch. Perhaps the time outside will help her begin to mend her broken soul.

And yet, she never expects to come across a naked Tanner Ellis emerging from a secluded pond. Or, for the first time in months, since the night of blood and screams, to feel something besides fear and malaise.

Tanner was simply trying to cool off from the suffocating heat of the day. Running into the sultry Noelle in nothing but his birthday suit wasn’t in his plans.

But after a scorching afternoon in her arms, the scared beauty is in his blood. He makes it his mission to bring her out of her shell and help heal her battered soul. He craves her. Yearns to claim her.

Yet, when it matters most, will Noelle hightail it, or will she give them a chance at forever?

TANNER AND NOELLE

While this is a series, the seventh book is well-written and reads as a stand-alone. The story mainly focuses on two people, Tanner Ellis, a cowboy who works at Silver Springs, and Noelle Addams, a young woman who has been in Winter Park for about a year.

Noelle Addams had her life planned out, graduating a year early, top of her class, earning a doctorate from Princeton, and working her way up in the lab at Vaargas Pharmaceuticals. She loved to run in marathons, yet one sociopath changed everything when he was shooting people in the crowd. So many deaths, and while Noelle lived, she was a prisoner in her own body, afraid to venture out; even though she recovered from the physical wounds, her mind is still not healed. That is when Amber encourages her to come live in Winter Park, Colorado.

Tanner Ellis had to grow up fast after the death of his father. He took on the responsibilities of a man, helping his mother out with support. Even on the weekend, he will mow the yard, rake leaves, or shovel snow, depending on the season. He will fix things in her home, paint, or do whatever repairs she needs. He now lives in a cabin at Silver Springs, where he works.

The story will have Noelle on one of her runs, wanting to enter a marathon in Winter Park. She needs to regain her confidence and loves the run's thrill, but is still worried about being in crowds. On her latest run, she stops at a lake and plans to take a dip when she sees Tanner emerge from the water in all his glory. She can’t stop looking and decides to strip down and approach him. Tanner has had feelings for Noelle since she came to Winter Park, and when she takes the initiative to pursue a tryst, he isn’t going to turn her down. It is only the beginning between them, and the chemistry is evident.

“Such an interesting dichotomy—he wondered which was the real Noelle. The confident seductress who knew precisely what she wanted, or the shy, somewhat submissive woman willing to hand him the reins like she was doing now.”

The story is full of angst, with a touch of mystery, secrets, and desires. Can these two enjoy each other, have a robust carnal relationship, and then part ways? Noelle knows that she needs to return to her life in Boston, back to her job at Vaargas, but fear still holds her hostage. When she is with Tanner, the world and cares fall away, and a confident woman emerges again, one who allows her feminine and submissive side to explore a relationship with Tanner. Tanner has known that he had feelings for Noelle and loves her boldness, a dash of shyness, and is a bedroom submissive. I love the angst and tension these two experience in the getting-to-know-you-phase of dating, but more so, Tanner can admit his mistake and promise not to do it again.

Noelle: Welcome to the real world and the woman’s lib movement. I’m sure it’s jarring for knuckle draggers such as yourself.
Tanner: I don’t think I’ve ever been put in my place quite that way.
Noelle: Can I ask, why order for someone else? I’m not trying to get into an argument, it’s more that I’m curious.
Tanner: It’s about you trusting me and letting go of your worries. A Dom wants to take even ordinary, everyday burdens off their partner’s shoulders as a way of caring for them. It is also about testing your boundaries and seeing what your reaction would be. Now that I know it’s an issue, I won’t do it again without asking.
Noelle: I appreciate that.

The story will have Tanner and Noelle becoming close, both are falling in love, but they each have different goals for the future. Tanner is a cowboy, one who works outdoors with cattle and horses. Noelle is a brilliant mind in the scientific community and has goals for her life, which means returning to Boston and Vaargas. Will the crossroads be more than they can handle? Is love enough, or will their careers tear them apart?

This is the seventh book in the Silver Springs Ranch series. It can be read as a stand alone as enough explanation was given to the other characters that I didn't feel lost for not having read all of them. This story focuses on Noelle and Tanner. Noelle was the victim of a heinous crime which caused her significant post traumatic stress, anxiety, and panic attacks. She seeks refuge with friends in Winter Park. She meets Tanner through friends, but for her it's not instalove as she is focused on healing. Tanner is a wrangler at Silver Springs Ranch and was instantly taken by Noelle, but patiently waited for her. Tanner shows Noelle great sensitivity in helping with her recovery while falling deeper in love with her. This book is steamy, very steamy. Tanner makes with ideal sensitive as well as sexy hero in this story.
I would caution the reader that this book should come with trigger warnings as there is violence at the beginning and some BDSM.

Noelle leaves Boston after being a victim of a mass shooting while running in a marathon along with her friend Katarina who was killed. In Colorado, she comes across Tanner from the Silver Springs Ranch, rising naked from the water where he was just trying to cool off. Noelle had the same idea as she was stripping off her own clothes to take a dip in the cool water. Sparks fly when both Tanner and Noelle decide to take the plunge and had spontanious s@x. I loved how patient and understanding Tanner was as he did his best to help Noelle through her anxiety and fear as she tries to heal from her horrible experience. This is another great story told by the talented Anya Summers that you won't want to put down until their whole story is told and we get a much deserved HEA.

I absolutely adore the fact that this series is still going strong. We met Tanner previously, but I had no idea quite how special he really was going to turn out to be. He has all the dominant protective alpha energy I could possibly want, but he’s also got an empathetic caregiver streak a mile wide that I don’t often see outside of Daddies. Noelle broke my heart with everything she’s had to survive. I just wish the resulting fears didn’t leave her sabotaging her own happiness so often. I loved these two together and I’m so happy to see the happy ending they were able to achieve. Now, I can’t wait to see what’s next for the cowboys (and cowgirls) of Silver Springs Ranch.

This is book seven of the Silver Springs Ranch series and the main characters are Noelle Addams, a microbiologist, and cowboy Tanner Ellis, who has worked at the Silver Springs Ranch as a wrangler since he was sixteen. He lost his father and had to work and take over as the man of the house, whilst his mother couldn’t cope after his death. He has continued to care for her ever since. Noelle had spent the previous year as a lock-in, in her home in Boston, after a traumatic event where she was badly injured and almost died, but her best friend did! She has always been a driven individual and was a child prodigy, with parents who worked for Vaargas Pharmaceutical, same as her. They expect a lot of her and aren’t the emotional support type of parents she could rely on after what happened. After a year, she moved out to Colorado and rented a house for a year, to get out into the wide open spaces, after beign too afraid now to be in crowds or places with loud noises. Most of what used to be her normal life, is well beyond her capabilities now, as she suffers from PTSD and panic attacks. She loves going hiking and goes on one of her most popular trails that leads to a nice pond where she can cool off and have her lunch. She had already stripped down to her underwear, when she spotted a horse tied up on the other side of the pond, then saw Tanner emerge from the water, starkers!
She can’t even look away from him and his naked body, and for once she forgets about the trauma she went through and can only think of her attraction to him and making a move on him. Tanner hadn’t exactly planned what happened, wanting simply to cool off in the heat of a hard day on the ranch, but he couldn’t resist Noelle’s moves. Then spend a steamy afternoon on her blanket, then he sees her back to her car. He asks her out on a date and he is left waiting for her, as she doesn’t show. He turns up at her house and finds her still in her car having a massive panic attack! She didn’t stand him up as such, as just couldn’t move! He is gentle with her and doesn’t push to find out what is behind her issues. Just his touch and proximity seem to calm her soul and they get hot and heavy really quickly. Neither was expecting any sort of permanent relationship, but it seems this has struck both of them intensely and they can’t seem to be without the other. Noelle’s year is almost up and her parents are expecting her to come back to Boston and the lab she worked in, which has sweetened the offer for her, to try and persuade her to come back. She tells Tanner she has only a few weeks left to decide what she wants to do, but doesn’t reveal to him when she makes her decision. Just wanting to spend whatever time they have left together and having a good time.
How she was going to go back to work in a huge city, when she is still struggling to even go to the local shops, you would think would be a major point in deciding which place to live in, a small town in Colorado or a huge city! Emotions and feelings are running high, with Tanner realising how much he loves Noelle, but he worries about scaring her off, if he declares his feelings to her too soon, Noelle can’t really express her true feelings to him, feeling it is far too early after only a few weeks of a relationship, and can’t declare she loves him, not knowing if he loves her. She has a huge decision to make and considering she has worked all of her life for the chance to run her own lab, her career is not something she is willing to give up. Not that her parent’s or her former boss would let her! She makes the massive mistake of not communication her decision, when she is surprised into making it suddenly. She plans to tell him over a special dinner days before she leaves, but he had other plans and he finds out her decision by accident and isn’t happy to not have even been considered, or told of her choice at the time. This causes an immediate rift between them and leaves them both having to reconsider what they truly want and what is really most important in life. What they can live with and what they can’t live without! Hard decisions and similar mindsets leaves then with a HEA ending, as one more cowboy comes off the single list! I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Book Book Seven in the Silver Springs Ranch Series with this being Tanner and Noelle's story. Noelle came to Winter Park, Colorado at the subjection of her bestfriend, Amber a year after the Boston marathon shooting. Noelle had been shot in the shooting, along with her roommate being killed leaving her with a great deal of surviver remorse and PTSD. She was unable to leave her apartment without having a panic attack, so they were in hopes a change of location to a small rural area might help her heal. Over her year there, she had gained a group of close friends with the help of Amber, and she was able to do her own shopping. Crowds still gave her a great deal of problems and there were days she could not leave her home. Plus, she was continually plunged into nightmares, but they were beginning to decrease. Unless, she was thinking about returning to Boston. Her days were always best, when she went out to Silver Springs Ranch and ran one of the trails.

She thought today would be a great day for a run on a mountain trail so off she went. She took her favorite trail that would lead to a lake at the top where she could have lunch. Once she got there, she thought she would go for a swim in her underwear, but just as she got ready to go enter the water, she noticed someone else in the lake and he was naked. She could not take her eyes off him. Finally, he looked up, she knew him. It was Tanner. He was beautiful, and she wanted him.

That was the first time Noelle had felt desire since the shooting. She was not scared of Tanner so she went for it. Tanner had experienced instant love with Noelle the moment he saw her. Their chemistry was magical. They had a difficult time keeping their hands off each other and was always tearing the sheets up. Also, Tanner was good for Noelle in that he helped her meet her fears head on giving her the encouragement she needed to succeed. He stood beside her helping her by telling her she had this. No one had ever taken the time to do that before, not even her parents. They were like just get over it no big deal. Her parents were not very likeable characters. Tanner did everything possible to help Noelle feel comfortable in public, and he put extreme thought into dates that were special so she would be comfortable. She returned the consideration with special homemade meals, and she was beside his side when his mother broke her news.

Tanner was working against the clock. Noelle's parents want her back in Boston closer to them and back to work. Her plan was to return in a few weeks so he has to work fast to convince Noelle her home is in Winter Park with him. I really liked this book. Noelle's parents are domineering and inconsiderate of what she wants or what may be good for her. An exciting read you will not want to miss.

Anya Summers has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Noelle and Tanner. Noelle moved from Boston to Winter Park after she recovered from being shot on the fourth of July parade. She and her roommate Katerina was watching the parade after she ran the 5k run. All of a sudden there was a loud crack and then a Boom sound. Things went crazy when someone yelled "Gun." Everyone started running. Katerina grabbed Noelle's arm and started running. Both girls were shot but Katerina didn't make it. Noelle was shot in the back and it destroyed her spleen and she almost bled out because of it. After she was released from the hospital, she didn't leave her house. She has nightmares and panic attacks. She doesn't feel safe in her own home. Now a year later, she has moved to Winter Park at the urging of her friend Amber. She is told that maybe the peace and quiet will do her some good. Noelle has found out that going hiking will calm her panic attacks down. She goes for a hike and doesn't notice Tanner at the pond she has gone to. It is hot and she decides to go for a swim. She is down to her bra and panties before she sees Tanner. For some reason, she wants Tanner and goes after him. Tanner has had feelings for Noelle since the day he first saw her. He doesn't want to push her but he knows that she is the one for him. They start seeing each other but Noelle doesn't want to commit to a relationship since she doesn't know if she is going to be staying in Winter Park. The more time they spend together, the more they fall for each other. But neither one tells the other how they feel. Noelle gets an email from her old boss and he wants her back. He offers her a better job with more money. She decides to take the job but she doesn't tell Tanner about it. Tanner finds out when her mother calls and tells her about the house she got for her and having the movers arranged to come and get her things along with the plane ticket. Tanner gets mad that she didn't even tell him about her leaving. It breaks Noelle's heart when he walks out on her without even talking to her. When she gets back to Boston, She goes out to lunch with her old boss and that is when she realized that this is not what she wants out of her life. She wants Tanner. She tells her old boss that she was sorry but she couldn't take the job. He would find someone more suited for the position. After she leaves, she gets a call from her mother and is told she is making a mistake. Noelle tells her mother that she is not making a mistake and that she is going home.
Will things work out between Noelle and Tanner now that she is going back to Winter Park?.

Noelle used to live in Boston and had an important job in a science lab. Her parents were very proud and she was happy she had fulfilled all her goals. Noelle loved to run so one Fourth of July she ran a half marathon. During the parade that day, a shooter killed a lot of people Her friend was killed and Noelle was hit. Luckily she was found before she died from blood loss. Now Noelle has a lot of new problems. She feels survivor's guilt and she has problems leaving the house. Crowds scare her. She had to leave Boston to stay with another friend in a small town in Colorado. She has spent a year there but she still feels barely able to cope. Her parents are pushing her to came back to Boston and her old job but she wonders if she can handle it. The only time she feels comfortable is when she is hiking out in nature. One summer day, she is hiking and has gotten hot. When she sees the pond she decides to go swimming. To her surprise, Tanner Ellis, a local cowboy is already there swimming and he is naked. Noelle has always been attracted to Tanner but she has felt brave enough to make a move until she met him at the pond. For the first time in 2 years she feels desire so she acts on it. The two have a passionate encounter. Afterwards, Noelle tries to go on her way but Tanner keeps her near.

Tanner has been attracted to Noelle since she arrived but she has never been in any state where he could act on it. Her friend told everyone about her past so when they went to Vegas for a wedding, he tried to distract her but she was too stressed. He decides the only place she might feel comfortable with him is when she is comfortable with her surroundings. That is why he was waiting for her naked at the pond. One she lets him get close he is determined to keep her. He wants her forever but she keeps talking about returning to Boston.

Quick Summary
Another kinky cowboy falls in How to Rope a Naked Cowboy.

Tanner has had his eye on Noelle since she came to town but she’s always been reserved and even a bit skittish around him. That all changes when their paths cross at the right time. Once with Noelle isn’t enough and Tanner sets out to convince Noelle to give him a chance. That their connection is worth exploring.

Things get a whole lot more complicated for Noelle when she finally caves and agrees with her parents to move back to the city and pursue her career in pharmaceuticals. Giving in to her attraction to Tanner couldn’t have come at a worst time. How does she tell the cowboy of her dreams that she’ll be leaving soon?

🖤 ~ My Thoughts ~ 🖤
I’ve been curious about Noelle for a while and I admit I didn’t guess her traumatic past at all so it was a surprise to me when it was revealed. With everything happening in the world, I shouldn’t be surprised that real life events are not cropping up in books. Overall, I think the author did a great job of showcasing an average person’s thoughts and feelings after surviving a mass shooting and how they work everyday to get through it.

Tanner was everything you come to expect from this author’s alpha males. He was dominate and stern where it was needed but also supportive, loving and affectionate where it counted most.

I still highly enjoy this series and I’m happy dancing we get a couple more new characters who will get their own books/stories and keep this series going!

Anya Summers gives us the seventh book in the Silver Springs/How to Rope series. NOTE: How to Rope a Naked Cowboy should be retitled to How to Rope a City Girl. :D

Tanner. Tanner. Tanner! Sexy, giving, emotionally available, loving, dominant, responsible, and sexy (I already said that, right?!?) cowboy! Tanner is a sexy, smexy cowboy who works at the Silver Springs Ranch. In spite of having to shoulder responsibility at an early age, Tanner is pretty well balanced. Takes care of his momma. Takes care of horses and cows. Takes care of his woman (that scene at Cabin X!).

Noelle is a Boston native who was injured when a gunman opened fire after a marathon, killing her roommate and causing her to spiral into an aftermath of PTSD, panic attacks and isolation. Noelle struggles with reaching her employment goals/lifelong plans while also figuring out a way to keep Tanner.

For 95% of the book, the reader is captured by the essence (and pure sexy dominance) of Tanner and the struggles of Noelle finding pieces of herself. Towards the end, relationship struggles come about and hurt is allowed to reign. (Gotta have a little conflict, right?!?)

Does Noelle return to Boston? Does the cowboy get his girl? Can Noelle see beyond the fear to trust, to reconsider her life's plan?

I would highly recommend this book. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Tanner just may be my new favorite in this series. Would highly recommend all books in this series. Please note you do not need to have read books 1-6 in order to enjoy this one. Standalone but characters from prior books show up.

Noelle has suffered an extreme trauma and, at the suggestion of her good friend Amber, has moved to Winter Park as part of her recovery process. When going out for a hike in the mountainous area she decides to take a dip in a mountain pound. As she approached the water a male emerged from the water in all his naked glory. Rather than panicking as she normally would, she instead takes matters in hand (so to speak). What transpires is pure lust described in a very graphic and erotic manner. Tanner knew who Noelle was and he knew her back story, and he believed he could help her without her having to ask. This is a beautiful story of empathy & trust leading to lust and love. Tanner is almost too good to be true and Noelle very quickly learns to cede to his leadership and dominance. The sex between them is absolutely breathtaking, presented in erotically graphic detail. The underlying problem is that as Noelle gains her emotional strength she also gains her desire to return to Boston and the wonderfully fulfilling job opportunity that awaits her. So, can she leave Tanner and return to a career or could she get Tanner to move to Boston with her? Conversely, could she give up everything that she has dreamed of academically and settle in small town Colorado? Decisions, decisions, sensual/sexual happiness or career fulfillment? Her Mother and her former boss don’t make the decision any easier. It finally comes down to what truly fulfills her? A great read. 5 Stars

This is another wonderful read by this author that puts together wonderful stories and characters that once you begin reading it is simply impossible to put the books down until reached the end of the story and discovered the final outcome.

Noelle is a survivor she has been through so much including the death of her best friend and the devastating effect this has on her, she had decided to travel to Silver Springs Ranch where she hopes to get her life back together. However, one thing that she had not expected to come across a in a river bathing naked was a cowboy, he was built like a muscle example of perfection and she had not been able to get him out of her mind.

Tanner really seemed to have got her mojo up and paying attention once again and she realised that this may have been exactly what she needed, it is also fair to say that he probably heeded her just as much. He had been keeping a very careful but un assuming eye on Noelle and hoped that they might be able to get together.

This author is a wonderful writer she is able to put together simply wonderful characters and great scenario’s that I am absolutely sure you are going to be able to enjoy.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

The seventh book in the series, but a standalone in terms of the couple with no overarching storyline in the series.

The first chapter of this book was written very well and pulled you in with exceptional vivid imagery and emotion. Unfortunately, the rest of the book did not live up to this start. The first time we ‘meet’ Noelle and Tanner, the scene feels contrived and over the top. That we learn later that Noelle and Tanner have been at least passing acquaintances does not lessen the issue with the problematic scene, in my opinion.

Noelle has to work through a traumatic experience, and Tanner is very accommodating and supportive. Noelle’s trauma does mean that her personality contrasts with her fear, so we have periods of strength and periods where the trauma is overwhelming. It makes for an exciting and emotional read as we journey with Tanner to try and understand the complicated person Noelle is.

Tanner has issues caring for his mother as he sees her as emotionally fragile and not strong. This could have been a good tension point between the characters, but in my opinion, the author missed an opportunity to explore this more fully.

Given the topic and possible emotional connection we could make with the characters, the book falls flat. The heat level of this book is medium to high, and I did root for the MC’s HEA, but I was not as invested as I have been in other books.

'How to Rope a Naked Cowboy' is the seventh book in Anya Summers' "Silver Springs Ranch" series and this time we meet Noelle and Tanner. Although this book is part of a series it can certainly be read as a standalone. Tanner works and lives at the Silver Springs Ranch, although he still takes care of any of his mother's needs on most weekends. You see, he had to grow up quickly after his father died and he became the "man" of the house and has taken care of things ever since. Noelle has two over-achievers as parents and they planned her life out accordingly. She graduated high school a year early and worked at the same pharmaceutical company as her parents until the 4th of July race/parade in Boston through hard work and perseverance. That's the day a gunman took her best friend's life and shot Noelle in the back, leaving her to bleed out. Luckily she makes it but the cost is sometimes more than she can bear. PTSD, nightmares, taking leave from her job, and becoming a hermit have all taken their toll on her. Even her parents have had their fill telling her she needs to pull herself together. Thankfully her friend Amber suggested she come out to Silver Springs Ranch in Colorado for the peace and quiet so she can put things into perspective. Everything changes after she's been there for a year. I love Anya Summers' stories and her characters are always relatable and show growth thru the storyline. She definitely makes me want to take a trip to the ranch.

How to Rope a Naked Cowboy is the seventh book in the Silver Springs Ranch series, but could be read as a stand alone. Noelle and Tanner have been dancing around each other ever since she came into town, but when a chance encounter brings them together, will they take the opportunity to open their hearts to love, or will secrets tear them apart?

Oh wow, this book had so much heart and heat and I loved this addition to the series! Noelle and Tanner captivated me right from the very beginning! Their chemistry just sizzled throughout the pages, but I also really enjoyed how their connection went from friends to the physical, to so much more! Noelle was dealing with some serious anxiety issues which made her really unsure about her future. She kept a major secret from Tanner, but I did like how open she was about her anxiety, and how open she became with her body and heart. Tanner was a fun character because while he always had a lot of responsibility thrust upon his shoulders, he didn’t mind taking care of Noelle when needed. And I absolutely adored that as soon as he saw her, she was all he could see. Tanner was pretty swoon-worthy, but I liked Noelle for him, too. I loved their connection. I liked their journey to finding love. I liked that there wasn’t a ton of outside drama, but enough that enhanced, or perhaps exacerbated, their relationship. I have loved this series and look forward to the next book by Ms. Summers!

How Noelle got her groove back. Mmmmmm 💋

Noelle is the survivor of shouting masica where she lost her best friend. She is still finding it hard to move on even after many months of therapy. She decided to go to Silver Springs Ranch in an effort to rekindle her life and get out of the gloom she'd been in for over a year.

One thing she didn't count on was to see a naked cowboy in the river with all his glorious parts on display for her to feast her eyes on. The sight of him woke up every dormant nerve in her body.  All she could think about is how it would feel, if she just let go of all her fears and take a ride on this deliciously sexy cowboy.

Tanner was precisely what Noelle needed to get her groove back. It is fair to say he needed her even more, without her knowledge, he has had his eye on her for months.

Love the BDSM element of the story. I find it appealing and exciting when it is practiced within a relationship where the couple love each other.

The author has a way of pulling you into the story with realistic and engaging characters and situations. The characters worked through a good range of emotions: grief, doubt, sadness, indecision, fear, and  love.

It was an enjoyable read! Fantasticly written, as expected. Next please!!!.

This book starts with a bang—and banging! Noelle stumbles upon Tanner skinny-dipping in the woods one day just as she’s about to enjoy a swim. And she can’t resist him when she discovers him in the altogether. They’ve been circling around one another for a while, and once they come together, Tanner will do anything to ensure they don’t drift apart!

Noelle has endured trauma from a mass shooting, and readers sensitive to that should be warned. But that’s in her past, and she’s been trying to move on by spending time at the Silver Springs Ranch. A brilliant scientist, she knows she should get back to her career. But that means leaving Tanner and his ranching life, and that dilemma is the crux of How to Rope a Naked Cowboy.

Summers sensitively deals with Noelle’s trauma and the concept that recovery is a pathway, not a moment. Tanner is wonderfully considerate of her—the biggest issue with him as a character is that he’s a bit too perfect. I liked that Summers avoided most of the dom/sub aspects of this series in this book. It wouldn’t have suited Noelle’s situation, and frankly, the little bit that was included wasn’t needed—the sensual scenes are hot enough on their own!

How to Rope a Naked Cowboy is a great addition to the Silver Springs Ranch series. Delve into it and enjoy a great read!

Noelle has been living in Winter Park for a year, she experienced a shoot out 2 years ago and is still trying to come to terms with the event. She is not comfortable in crowds and tries to stick to small events when she gets together with her friend Amber. She loves hiking around the trails near the ranch her friends family owns, the peace and quiet helps her relax and she enjoys relaxing at the pond on one of the trails. Imagine her surprise when she hikes out to the pond and finds a very naked Tanner emerging just as she planned to take a dip. Should she throw caution to the wind and just go with her feelings for once and give into the lustful feelings that Tanner brings out in her.
Tanner works at Silver Springs Ranch, he has noticed Noelle since she arrived and cannot believe his luck when he emerges from the pond to find her standing at the edge in just her underwear. After the experience they have on the side of the pond, Tanner is determined to make Noelle his, but she is torn between staying in Winter Park or returning to her previous life in Boston. Can Tanner help her heal Noelle with his love and will she give him a chance to be hers forever.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

I would give this 3.5 stars. I was not a fan of Noelle. It had nothing to do with the trauma she endured, or how she worked to get back to feeling like her normal self. It did bother me that she was somewhat disingenuous regarding her relationship with Tanner. She held on to her decision entirely too long before sharing.

The thing that really bothered me about her was her relationship with her parents. There wasn't much made about it, but her parents seemed to make all of her major decisions, even before the marathon. I think the first decision she made on her own was when she moved to Colorado.

I felt like Tanner and Noelle were physically compatible. It did seem to me like Noelle took advantage of Tanner's ability to help her feel whole without offering him the same commitment that was offered to her. Just one person's opinion. I thought it was interesting the way Noelle bristled at their first dinner date. Tanners reaction was equally as interesting.

The book was fast moving. Tanner and Noelle had great chemistry. I could imagine many women would appreciate the type of caring and support Tanner offered. Tanner and Noelle ultimately achieved their HEA after a bit of angst.

This was an opposites attract cowboy romance.

Loved this book! The way Tanner is always putting Noelle's needs first is inspiring. Highly recommend!

Noelle Addams is a microbiologist from Boston. Her parents have always pushed her to achieve more. A few years ago she was shot in the July 4th Boston Massacre and has serious PTSD and anxiety issues. She moved to Winter Park, Colorado at the urging of her friend Amber to try to get her life restarted.

Tanner Ellis is a wrangler on the Silver Springs Ranch and a Dom. He was forced to grow up quickly after his father committed suicide and his mother fell apart.

Noelle goes hiking to help her decide if she really wants to move back to Boston. She decided to go swimming in a pond, but there is someone already there, Tanner, and he is skinny dipping. They hook up and Tanner realizes she is his One. He takes it very slowly in order not to spook her, but he wants a future with Noelle. Noelle tried to convince herself their relationship is only short term but catches feelings for Tanner. They have to iron out some issues but do get their HEA.

If you have PTSD please be aware that this story deals heavily with the subject. Noelle is beginning to step outside her shell after being the victim of a shooting. She had shut herself down and off, nothing like an unclothed sexy man to rev things up again.

Tanner has been waiting for an opportunity to get closer to Noelle, he didn’t expect taking a mid-day swim sans clothes would present him with one.

Noelle surprised both of them by being the initiator and fun was had by all. While Tanner is patient and very accommodating with Noelle, she is trying to find reasons to not let him in.

The author does a good job of having you experience the debilitating issues that come up when dealing with such a traumatic event. Tanner provides a good balance of pushing and pulling Noelle back into the outside world.

There are some parts of the storyline that’s a bit squishy but for the most part you can overlook those areas. The two of them really are good together and meeting up with some of the other past members of the ranch was good.

Noelle has been traumatized, and has spent the last two years in a haze of pain, anxiety and panic, feeling like she does not fit in anywhere. She has moved from Boston to Winter Park, CO, at her best friend's invitation, to try and get her head on straight. She's better, but nowhere near back to herself. When she encounters naked Tanner coming out of a pond after a swim, she feels something positive for the first time since the shooting. It is a whirlwind romance from then on, and she must decide whether or not to take the job being offered in Boston, or stay with the cowboy who has become her rock.
Every time Anya Summers adds to this series, I have a new favorite. This is seriously one of the best books I've read this year, and I have read nearly 200 at this point. Tanner is so romantic, and so deliciously Dominant. Noelle has a steel spine. To survive what she has, and come back better than ever? That's beyond strong. This book is so well written, and was a pleasure to read.

This is the seventh book in the Silver Springs Ranch series. I've loved every book in this series and this book fit perfectly. You can read it as a standalone but it is connected to the other books in the series. Noelle and Tanner are so hot together. You can't help but love the cowboys on the Silver Springs Ranch, when they realize they're found the woman for them they will do anything to protect and prove they're worthy of their woman’s love and attention. They're dominate, passionate, and not afraid to show how much they care. Noelle is battling PTSD after surviving a mass shooting that took the life of her friend and many more. She loves Silver Springs but isn't sure she will stay instead of moving back to Boston. Tanner knows Noelle is it for him he connects with her like no other woman but knows its going to take time and patience to earn Noelle’s trust. Can he convince her to stay? Steamy, well written, loved every page.

I have liked all the books from this series so far, but I have to say this is my favorite one yet. The care and respect that Tanner takes with Noelle is absolute perfection. He knows she went through something traumatic and gives her the space within their relationship to work through it. I really enjoyed when Noelle would come out of her shell more and more. She is determined to not let that event rule her life, but at the same time it is terrifying to work through. She took time off from her job and relocated to be closer to her best friend and away from the crowds in her old city. When she sees Tanner emerging from the pond, she makes the first move and it sets off a delicious chain of events. Maybe Noelle just needs a Dominant in her life to make her realize it is worth living and trusting yourself with another? Will she decide that being able to be herself with him is more important than going back to her old life, or will her career she strived to achieve take precedence?.

Excellent

Meet Noelle Addams only child to Jessica and Everett Addams the child prodigy would follow her parents path into Pharmaceutical testing new drugs and saving the world until on a fateful day in Boston. Noelle enjoys marathons, outdoor space festivals and practical anything for a good time and working hard but the tragedy that took place on that day in Boston scarred for life. The path took her to silver springs where her best friend lived until a hike in the trail of Silver springs "A Fateful day when she chanced upon a naked cowboy " and naked as you can imagine .

Meet Tanned Ellis Wrangler for Silver springs and loves the outdoors and working hard and with his friends that are now settling in well life certainly was changing for Tanner until he met her in the forest and looking gorgeous as ever and that day changed for him too.
Love the characters and storyline and plenty of 🔥🔥to to around and love the series so far and enjoying Silver Springs cowboys 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Noelle is a microbiologist and child prodigy who is an victim of gun violence. Her life is shattered and she is living a half life in Boston. With no real support system to help her heal Noelle moves to Colorado. Being out doors is the first time since the shooting she feels like her old self. Tanner has been attracted to Noelle since her arrival at the ranch. But he knows her past and that she is deeply broken. When Noelle stumbles across Tanner skinny dipping, she allows herself this one indulgence. The attraction is mutual and is off the charts. But Noelle is scared to depend on anyone as she has plans to return to Boston in a few weeks. But as she spends time with Tanner, she wonders if Boston is home or is it really Colorado? Overall, this was a very emotional and engaging read. I cannot wait for the next installment.

Even though this is a series and the 1st I read, I wasn’t confused or lost. Great as a standalone. Noelle has survived the unthinkable, a mass shooting at the Boston Marathon. Why she was lucky and so many, including her friend died is still something she after 2 years is still trying to deal with. Having PTS, panic attacks and fear of crowds, she accepts her best friend offer to come to Winter Park, CO. A small town where hopefully her healing will continue. Through her friend she meets several of her friends including sexy Tanner, but a relationship is the last thing on her mind. A year has passed and on one of her hikes she sees Tanner emerging out of the pond in his birthday suit. What changed? Who knows but the sizzling sexual tension between them is combustible! Be forewarned steamy and some BDSM.

I have read and reviewed several books in Anya Summers’ Silver Springs Ranch Series and enjoyed all of them – but this was the best one. It had a terrific opening scene, two interesting and thoughtful lead characters, and a lot of humor and sex. Noelle is a scientist from Boston, recovering from a shooting in a terrorist incident in Boston by living quietly in Winter Park, Colorado. Tanner is a cowboy, working at Silver Springs Ranch – scene of the previous books in this series. They meet – fall in lust – and as time passes, both are surprised to find that they are falling in love with the other. Some of the characters from the previous stories in the series make an appearance, but this story stands completely on its own. The story moves quickly, the characters are believable, and their interaction, sexual and otherwise, is fun to read. Noelle left Boston after a horrific event that left her traumatized and anxiety ridden. Crowds now terrify her and she needed wide open spaces. Winter Park, Colorado was the perfect place and her friend was there also. Tanner has had his eye on her since she came into town. When she comes across him skinny dipping in a lake, while hiking, things get heated really fast. What I enjoyed was how when Tanner finds out what happened to her, he works with her and helps her out when anxiety hits. He was gentle, reassuring and always there for her. At times, I did want to shake her for being so stubborn but I also understood her fears. Can these two work it out and be together? Or will she go running back to Boston with an offer of a job she has worked her whole life for? This has to be one of my favorites in this series!! Just loved it!
