A new gift, the next assignment, and a realm full of elitist Fae - beating the Forgotten on their own territory is going to be Demi's biggest challenge yet.
For Demi, achieving her dream and becoming a member of Faerie headquarters should be a reason to celebrate. But that was before her new gift started causing problems.
Then she's thrown onto her second assignment at Gallows Oak, a realm full of ruthless, trickster Fae. Her task: find and expose the Forgotten 24 club. Simple, except the Forgotten are the enemy and hate half-bloods like her.
With a target on her back and no clue where to hunt for the mysterious 24 club, Demi faces controlling her new gift amid the increasing hostilities from those around her. At least this time her best friend Taz will be going with her, even if he is hiding secrets of his own...
The Arcanium series, Courts of Faerie series and Citadel of Souls series - YA fantasy adventure.
The Kirelonia series - Adult romantasy.
Emma lives with her husband on the south coast of the UK, complete with pebble beaches and the seagull invasion. She has too many plants and is still waiting for someone to buy her a unicorn. Or a tank.
Such a treat to be back in the various Faerie Realms. Loved how Demi is growing both in confidence and powers (but still keeping her adorable quirky personality) and forging her own path by following orders in her slightly convoluted way, which actually works! My favourite part had to be the Puzzle Tower games, gave me Goblet of Fire vibes, but with tricky Fae, so much better! I was quite happy to see a budding romance, and of course the return of my favourite character - Leo ;) Great plot, great writing and endearing characters. Loved it! . Fave quote ~ "Fae love keys," he said, "It probably goes back to the days of little doors in trees leading to Faerie gardens and realms..."
A fantastic second book in the Arcanium Series. I was swept away by the magical world of the Fae and Demi's adventures in it. Love the friendship between Demi and Taz and I'm excited to see it blossom into something deeper later on in the series. Drew me in from the very first line. Possibly a slight spoiler lol but her sisters so deserve a zapping. Bravo Emma and I'm very excited for book 3 later on in the year. Thank you so much for a copy 😊
'The Trouble With Fae' is the 2nd book in The Arcanium Series & I think I loved it even more than the first.
A mission with many difficulties, plot twists, new characters & a richly created new world. Book 2 also sees relationships strengthening, builds on the over arching ongoing conflict and continues with its fun comedy elements.
I enjoyed reading this book soooo much 😍! I'm now impatiently looking forward to book 3!
