This is the first novella in Brynn's new Senseless series.
Birdie was a witness to her best friends murder by Benji Baker the leader of the Senseless Cartel, She was due to testify when Benji put a hit out on her. Hendrix who owed Senseless a debt was tasked to complete the hit but at the last moment couldn't go ahead with it so Birdie and Hendrix went on the run together.
Unheard is a dark romantic thriller, This was a great introduction to Brynn's new series and I cannot wait to read about more characters in this series.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Brynn Ford excels at writing dark romance that inevitably drags you under and refuses to let you up for a single breath of air. Unheard is no exception to the rule.

This is my first book my this author and i loovedd itt. At the beginning i was so not into it but then when the action picked up it became interesting.
I didn’t like Hendrix in the beginning but i loved him later on, and I feel so bad for Birdie she doesn’t deserve what happened to her and I’m glad she found Hendrix.
The writing in this book is good i liked it and the spice….those scenes were fire!! But that bathtub scene….oofff a freaking inferno🔥🔥🔥
I understand that this is a novella but i kinda wanted it to be a bit longer and maybe a bit of slow burn too but it’s very enjoyable and fast paced. So definitely read it but check TWs before I listed them below.

Birdie and Hendrix’s story was incredible. It may be a novella, but it sure packed one hell of an emotional punch to the gut. My heart was racing, and my adrenaline was pumping because it was so fast paced that with every turn of the page you never knew what was going to happen next.
It was dark, it was suspenseful, it was thrilling, it was violent, and it was deliciously spicy. And I could not get enough of it.
The instant intensity of the feelings that Birdie and Hendrix had towards each other, and the incredible chemistry between the two of them just poured off the pages and had me aching for them both to give into that insane pull they had. They were both lightning ready to strike, and I for one could not wait for the explosion to happen.
Definitely kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through!

Wow, this delicious stalker romance novella hooked my attention from the first chapter. The thrilling plot combined with some of the best spice held me captive throughout, making it an absolutely worthwhile read.
Birdie is on the verge of testifying against a vile criminal drug lord and male main character Hendrix has been sent to eliminate her from the equation.
Once Hendrix gets a taste of Birdie's fierce strength and determination, he is utterly lost to the woman who makes him feel.
I would be remiss if I didn’t give honorable mention to chapter 5 (29%)! IYKYK
The writing style flowed smoothly and the story had a great amount of plot-to-spice ratio. I would recommend this to anyone who likes darker romance with stalker/hitman vibes.
Be mindful of the TW for this book as it discusses and engages in topics that are not suitable for all readers.

Birdie witnessed the murder of her best friend and is set to go on trial against the murderer. But...the murderer is a huge drug dealer that always seems to allude the police and has gotten away with so much more. Hendrix is sent to prevent Birdie from being able to testify......
They have an instant chemistry and attraction to one another that quickly morphs into more...while trying to out run the big bad.

Holy fckg shit. Brynn, girl, you are talented way beyond.
Let me just say this. She drags you into the story by pulling you in right in an angsty, suspense moment, you get pulled in and this is the first book, I’m reading that lets me get to 21% with only 2 words spoken.
😳 2 words. That’s all.
The way of description and picturing the thrill is incredible and I am deeply in awe when an author is able to do that.
I love the building of the story between Birdie and Hendrix and I had to highlight multiple sentences when he starts ‘to feel’. Amazing. Very very well done.

I'm trying to find the right word for Birdie and Hendrix's chemistry, and decide to borrow the author word for it. Fate.
I mean, what word better to describe the unexplainable instant chemistry that is so strong and terrifying for both?
The author done her job making me feel the intense feeling of being chase and hunted like what Birdie feel through out the book.
And their emotion toward each other is very honest in her vulnerability.
Fast pace, the intensity of the story keep me all night to finish it in one sitting.
Love this first read from the author.

Unheard is the quick story of Birdie, a girl that watched her friend get murdered. We start out with a frightened Birdie in her house, lights all on and police escort outside. We quickly learn that her friend was murdered by some sort of drug lord and she was going to testify the next day in court. A man is in her house then shit hits the fan.
Looking at this from a standalone novella point of view, it was very instalovey and heavy on the Stockholm syndrome. Almost instant lust between captor and victim. The story moved forward well and had a good arc.
I would give this 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars.

I'll start saying that this book surprised me. I really liked this and definitely didn’t expect.
The story is about a girl that witness the murderer of her friend. One day after the testify, she is chase for a killer (hired to kill her because her envolvement with the case). What neither of them expect is the connection and relationship them create and development. It’s a short story, but have a good construction and i really enjoyed the writing and characters from this book. Definitely i’ll read more from the author.
The story is about a girl that witness the murderer of her friend. One day after the testify, she is chase for a killer (hired to kill her because her envolvement with the case). What neither of them expect is the connection and relationship them create and development. It’s a short story, but have a good construction and i really enjoyed the writing and characters from this book. Definitely i’ll read more from the author.

Unheard pulled me into the story so fast. I did not want it to end. Birdie is a witness to her friends murder and has a hit put out on her. But the hit man is unable to do his job. I love that they both feel this connection. They are wary but have decided to trust each other out of necessity and more. Hendrix is not evil but does what he has to survive. The spicy scenes are hot. This book is dark but has a great ending. I highly recommend this novella.

This novella was so good. I absolutely ate it up! I fell in love with the 2 main characters. I’m hoping to see more of them in the series. I wish this was full length because I loved it. It left off with some questions so im wondering if we will get some answers in the following book. Highly recommend check TW/CW

I really enjoyed the whole plot of this book ! i could feel the suspense, the danger and darkness of the story and it gripped me from start to finish. Birdie and Hendrix had an insane chemistry, i loved their interactions and the steam was seriously HOT!! My only criticism was that i wanted more!! Cant wait to read more in Brynn's senseless series

What an exciting short read. Birdie is to testify in court tomorrow against a Senseless kingpin. Hendrix is sent to kill her tonight. That doesn't happen, but you have to see what all does. So good. So exciting. So entertaining. Lots of action. Lots of feels.

It’s another dark romance with a thrill that I enjoyed reading. Even though it’s a novella, I could feel the connections between Hendrix and Birdie. I also think the twisted side of their minds was interesting. It added the dark side to the story.

This was a quick, fun, exciting read that had me hooked from the first page. Birdie is actually someone I like: she's spunky, smart mouthed, fights back - she's just so real. Hendrix is a surprising mix of sweet and dangerous. The story was short, but it held my attention and I really enjoyed it!

For such a short story this book packs a spicy punch! You're quickly thrown into emotional turmoil right along with the FMC and it doesn't stop until the very end.
Brynn's writing is, as always, amazing. And I'm left wondering wtf is wrong with my that I'm rooting for a serial unaliver, but once again, Brynn makes me question myself! And again, I'm here loving it.

This deliciously dark novella had me hooked right from the start. I loved the chemistry between Birdie and Hendrix and the spice was perfect!! This was a fantastic read with a great balance between the drama, action and steam. I am excited for more books from the Senseless series.
