Mrs Cluck Cluck Saves the Day contains four connected stories, one for each season: Spring, Summer, Fall and ending with Rudolph the Reindeer dropping in at Christmas. Each of these contains a positive experience of friends helping friends, enhanced with fun, bright illustrations. The book begins when three farm yard animals, Moo Cow, Piggy Pop and Mrs, Cluck Cluck meet Kung-Fu Mantis and Chami-Leon. Together they go off on adventures and meet other characters along the way. This is a good bridge between picture books and chapter books for young readers.

My 6 year old grandson loves this book and enjoys reading it himself. The gentle story line encourages kindness to others, while the characters have their own adventures. A lovely book for the younger child with colourful illustrations. Highly recommended.
