Joel. Full-time sports agent. He enjoys his life his way. He likes to keep things simple. Dealing with rich athletes and teams all day long is all the drama needs.
Allie. Full-time executive, making her mark on the man-dominated business world. She loves the word ‘casual’ and knows how to enjoy herself.
It was one night.
Joel bails on his friends (who have crying babies) and Allie bails on her best friend (who has people performing poetry on stage).
That was it.
One night.
Fast forward weeks later… and that one night produces two pink lines on a pregnancy test!
OK I really loved the romance between Joel andAllie . I thought Joel was sweet almost 100% of the time,. in fact really 100% of the time, he honorable and a gentleman . It was Allie that was mean and bitchy and sarcastic and horrible to him all the way through. I get she was pregnant. I get there were pregnancy hormones. And I understand her background growing up. but I really didn’t warm up to her or even like her very much until the very end when she had the baby and started realizing how much she loved Joel. The way their story evolved was very interesting. A one night stand having to turn into a little bit more because of the pregnancy. it was a very good story. I loved Marty being Joel‘s friend. I love the pregnancy girls club being there for Allie and all being friends. I just couldn’t take Allie or warm up to her until almost the end of the book. She’s no one I would like to be friends with. I had to sort of push myself through to finish reading it because of her otherwise overall it was a pretty good story. Sweet and romantic.
Both Allie and Joel lead busy corporate lives. Big deals being made that involve lots of money meant there needed to be downtime to decompress from the daily stress and pressures of the job. While meeting mutual friends at a poetry event, they hook up. Neither are looking for a relationship, sex only, and they part after the deed is done. Both in agreement. No harm, no foul and fun was had by all. Weeks later, they receive news of a present that was left the night of the hook up, and this one is non returnable. GREAT STORY! LOVE ALL THESE AWESOME, FLAWED YET RELATABLE CHARACTERS! THIS SERIES IS AMAZING AND IS A DEFINITE MUST READ!!!
I only read 22% of the way through and to stop reading because I hated the fmc. She was just over the top with her woman hero thing. She was a bitch and was way out of line at her place of business. I love a strong female character, I prefer for strong female leads, but I also expect some class. I liked this girl took control sexually and had crazy confidence, but I hated how she treated men that were even nice to her and praised her work. It was extremely annoying and I couldn’t read on.
Book 11 what a book, loved how London has written Joel and Allie’s characters, the first part of the book I couldn’t stop smiling Allie charter is so good to read no spoilers she won’t disappoint. But I loved Joel after reading the rest of the series he is one hot man🔥📚💕📚5 huge ⭐️
First time reading the authors books! Funny, lighthearted and the right amount of drama. I hope her friends have books. I did think the whole labor thing was a bit far fetched. I also felt they never talked at all. Just declared their love finally at the the book was over. I
I was so excited after reading Corey and Paige's story. Paige's best friend Allie and Corey's best friend Joel spend an unforgettable evening together. It results in a pregnancy. No spoilers, its in the title. What happens next is totally worth reading. I think I'm in love with Joel!!! Wow, what a great story!
This was the first book i have read by this author and i really enjoyed it. The storyline was a good one and they both had intense chemistry. I enjoyed reading as their lives evolved to include each other. It is a must read.
I love this story. I love all they went through to be able to get to where they are. I love that he fought for her so she knew he cared. I love that she let him fight for her when she's fiercely independent. Such a great story and ending to the series.
