This was crazy….all these friends did was swap beds..,,these “friends” were having sexy with each other spouses & significant partners, yet they were supposed to be “best friends”….They were keeping harmful secrets from one another…this was just too messy…In addition, all of the errors in this book…I’m dizzy with a headache from reading all of this. On top of all of this….it’s a freaking cliffhanger.
I stalked Amazon for part 2 so I could read these books back to back. Couldn't wait to delve in. Highly disappointed after starting part one - no, I couldn't finish it and I tried a couple of times. The flow left a lot to be desired. Too many errors. Too many characters to keep up with, all doing things they should have stopped doing after college.
I recently discovered this writer after reading Toxic which was interesting as hell do when I saw this one I snatched it up. For some reason I. This one I don't like any of these characters and hope they all get theirs.
Balla is a butthole with a capital A. Lena is so dang spineless she makes my stomach churn. The 2 lesbians are a coked out mess. Ones a panty sniffing pervert. I hate the best friend and the gay character gives me a headache with his confused butt. How the hell are these haters friends??????????
I don't know if it's too many people to keep up with but they are all jerks or so damn weak there is no one to root for. It's certainly entertaining and I am going to read two but take you a shot of Crown before u get on this roller coaster. Keeping up with all these fools is a doozy.
Balla is a narcissistic husband that treats Lena like an afterthought. It is clear that he only loves himself. Lena is a DV victim of emotional neglect. Poor Prezi loves Balla more than he admits and knows that Chris aka Balla is on the DL. Cena was a freaking pervert but that doesn't justify his murder. Izzy and Sam were lost and tragedy was bound to visit such a toxic relationship. I'm still wondering what mishap will ultimately befall Ms. Misa and Roy?
I usually don't like to read a series before it's complete but something led me to stop reading a book I had already started to read this twisted sexual story!!! I wanted to fight Baller in this story!!! Why did his wife have to be punished when she was the innocent one???? Lena needs a hellified lawyer!!!! I enjoyed the story!!! Ready for part 2!!!! I read this story in one day!!! Great job to the writer!!!!!!
Wow! This was the first book that I’ve read from this author and I am looking forward to reading book two. I actually rate the book as 4.5. It was drama filled and touched on infidelity, drugs, homosexuality, down low relationships and abuse. I could not stand Balla and I wanted Lena to leave his behind so bad. Unfortunately, Lena was in a spot where she felt like she had nothing and could not survive without him. Definitely a page turner.
I was so surprised when it came out that Balls was an user cover down low brotha. I also didn't expect Lena to find out the way she did and I can understand her flashing and burning the house down. There is a part 2 so I wonder if Lena and Balma are gonna work their problems out and what will happen to the friendships
I am not sure whether this was interesting or just sad. Lena should have been fed up long before this book ended. Her husband, Chris, was one of the vilest men I have met in a while. I need him to meet Karma in the second book. Lena deserves better friends as well. And neither cover model matched their description... Uuugh.
This book had too much going on. Drama, drugs, cheating, down low relationships all the way to way to death. First read by this author she truly kept me entertained and trying to figure out what else could possibly happen in this fake friend group. Can't wait to see what happens next and how Lena and Balla will overcome the mess of their relationship.
Now how he make it out that fire? And when was Cena around? It’s all Lena’s fault though because she let Balla continue to treat her like nothing and didn’t leave him. She didn’t even defend her friends when he was in the wrong. Now she let him get the best of her emotions and she caused havoc. But I have to see what happened because everyone has these secrets
This is a two-book series and book one does end with a cliff hanger. This book didn't have a flow to it and had to many characters to keep up with it, so most of the book you were confused. Things happen in the book but then move on to something else leaving gaps in the story.
The characters aren't developed enough to make the story make sense.
I'm hoping book two will be better.
***This book may trigger some*** It has cheating, abuse, drugs and racial comments.
Wow! I’m so enjoying this read ! Balla is a monster! He is all over the place! I can’t believe Lena allows him to treat her the way he does! She let him put hands on her best friend and put her out the house! She needs to get a backbone!!!! Prezi is a disappointment! Friends are never who you think they are! I’m looking forward to karma being served to Balla!!! Hate him!!!!
What in the entire pandemonium is going on? Man I would kill every dang body! Is Lena really bipolar or is this just a mid diagnosis from too much stress? I would eff Balla’s azz all the way up! What a scum bag. He is too disrespectful! Prezi ain’t no dang better. Wtf is up with Cena? Man what kind of friends are these? 🤦🏾♀️
Ok I seen a post from another author saying this was a must read as baby listen she was not lying. I couldn't put this book down I was glued to this and then it left me on a cliff hanger smh. I needs part two NOW!!
Balla drove Lena to her breaking point. She honestly should have gotten therapy or definitely already had second and third opinions of her diagnoses. At times this book was hard to keep up with on who was who because everyone had different names and alias
This was my first time reading this author's work and I am so impressed. This book was so good I read it in a day. With the secrets being exposed and the drama I was hooked. With that ending I definitely can't wait for part two.
This was one of those books where the audience and the characters were kept on their toes. The twists and turns in this story made me not want to put this book down, and I honestly can not wait until Part Two.
Wow! All the signs was there, but for some reason Lena just was to blind to see that she was in an abusive relationship with her husband. They all needed some type of help.
This book was so good. It started off a little slow but when it got going it took off. Lena was so stupid throughout this whole book. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Lena had to be the dumbest woman Martin Luther King Sr died for 🙄. This book irritated me so much I wanted to stop reading a few times and the ending makes me wish I would’ve quit reading.
I bet Lena wished that she had listened to her mother about her husband not being a good husband and she kepted letting him talk to her any kind of way, they probably deserve each other
This book was a interesting read. It was kind of hard to follow. A lot of characters that all intertwined with one another. I hope Lena and Balla get the help they need. That was just too much for me.
This book took my emotions down through there. How do you call yourself a best friend and your keeping a life changing secret from said friend? That group had way too much going on, but I enjoyed every single minute of it.
Read the review but decide to read for myself great read. Lena is hell with Chris. He made her depress and dependent on him. Hopefully she starting to wise up.
