After proving my loyalty to the Jackson Family for basically my entire life, I've practically become one of the brothers. So, when we have a war with the Russian Mafia hanging over our heads, I take one for the team. I have to marry the Don's daughter to bring peace between the two families. I'm willing to sacrifice my own contentment so my brothers can live in peace. But maybe I don't have to sacrifice anything at all because I very quickly learn that this woman has been raised to please her future husband. And I know I'll enjoy taking care of my submissive.

This one was Little more drama and tiny more angst compare to the first 2 books.

Jaxon has been family and is now helping them out he's going to be in a arrange marriage to help unite the family. Meeting his wife was rocky start for them she is alil annoyed and bitter and more tension between them. But the more they spend together the more the walls are coming down and Jax finally sees that his wife was treat horrible by her family that made her silent and not show emotions even during her period. But Jax made a mistake and fixed it no one would ever treat her that way.

This is also a mafia book where our couple does geg separated due to Jax job in the family that has him going to prison for 5 years. And I'm sad for Inessa she had alot to deal with her Miscarriage her husband not wanting to see her for safety reasons. It was a hard pill to swallow. But once he got out they were back in there love bubble. Also loved seeing him do a snip snip because they both didn't want kids.

Low angst, No ow/om drama, No cheating, secondary character, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

Miscarriage

Jaxon has been with the Family all his life. When James promotes him, someone takes an issue and shoots up the celebration. One of Jaxon's men dies to protect them. Word on the street is it was the Bratva, but the Pakhan says they were told James had a hit on them. Adrik, the Pakhan, wants to unite the families through marriage. With both brothers already married, that leaves Jaxon to take one for the team.
Inessa is the Pakhan's granddaughter. Jaxon doesn't know anything about Inessa, including her name, but he knows the rules of this engagement. When he meets her, she lets him see her bitterness. The wedding didn't change the hatred she had for him. She went as far as challenging him by telling him he couldn't touch her. He made her change her mind about sex, but her words still told him she hated him. Except, Inessa is more scared of him than hating him. Her life taught her that she had to be perfect. Without him telling her what to do, she is confused and feels like all she does is mess up. The only thing she has noticed is that even if he's mad, he won't hurt her. She's finally safe. She opens herself up to him with his continued care of her. But will he still be by her side when things go down?

This author touches on all kinds of female reproductive health issues, and I applaud her for that. Very few authors touch on these topics, and they need to be addressed more often. I hate reading about miscarriages, though. The matter of fact way the author addresses it, and the solution does help.
This was the last book in the series as of August 2023, but there is a book 4 scheduled to release in 2024.

Good

Inessa is a bratva princess who is promised to Jaxon who is part of the mafia don's family.

At first Inessa is angry about the marriage and takes it out on Jaxon who isn't having it. They work out their issues when Jaxon realizes that Inessa is scared due to the way she was raised.

I love how Jaxon is with Inessa once he gets her. Very doting and protective. We don't hear as much from Inessa throughout the book but it's clear that she quickly falls in love.

There were a few things that didn't track for me but I can only think of two of them. They may be minor spoilers so don't read further if you don't want to know.

How is Carter still a toddler when Jaxon returns?

Jaxon says they don't want kids "now" so he got a vasectomy. Those are sort of permanent... they can be reversed but it's not a guarantee. It's not really a an intermittent type of birth control.

I hate that he went away for five years with no contact but I appreciated how the author didn't dwell in the time apart. I hate when I have to read through a bunch of boring stuff to get to the interactions again.

Overall good read.

Jaxon is the caporegime for the Jackson family, and hold his men to a high standard. He is being promoted to consigliere with the expanding business in Mexico belonging to Darren’s wife, James needs two. The Jacksons are about to ink a deal with the Bratva, when it looks like the make a hit on them. Finding out that there is someone trying to mess with their joint business, Adrik offers a solution, Jaxon marry his granddaughter, Inessa. Jaxon never intended to get married but will take one for the team. What he does not count on is his wife, she more than pleasing, but has been mentally abused by her family. Being married just might be that hardship he thought, his wife is willing to try new things and take his direction.

Jaxon is just what Inessa needed to protect her from the damage her family had done to her. Just when the two are really getting to happy place, Jaxon is sent on a trip that lands him in jail. How long will Inessa and Jaxon be apart?

Every book just keeps getting better and better. I flew through this without putting it down once. Jaxon cared so deeply for Anissa and constantly showed her she was cherished and deserving of love. The love he showed her when she was bleeding was something amazing no matter how much she snapped at him. Definitely top book boyfriend

Jaxon is getting a promotion. In order to keep the peace between them and another family, Jaxon needs to get married. Neither Jaxon or Inessa wants to be married. Inessa makes that we'll known at their engagement party. What happens when you start falling for your new wife that hates your guts?

I love a good nickname and Jaxon gave Inessa one I haven't heard yet. I felt horrible at how cold Inessa was to Jaxon the first time they met. I adore how gentle Jaxon is with Inessa. That poor girl had never had a phone before. The whole incident at lunch with everyone was shocking. The I didn't see the club scene coming at all. The ending was nice.

I was pulled in by the first couple chapters. I was emotional reading this. The representation of PCOS made me smile. It's a roller-coaster ride the whole way!

I liked the book for what it was - insta love with OTT possessive and protective MMC and a submissive FMC with tortured past (this trope always gets me!). But I felt it would have benefited from being same length as the first two as there were some great moments that could have led to more character development and connection.

Jaxson and Inessa had good chemistry that was displayed well for a shorter story and I like how Jax quickly worked on fixing his mistake of assuming who his new wife was once he realized how she had been treated by her family and broke down some of her walls. The BDSM representation continued into this book similar to the last but with a little less DD/lg. This one did have a tiny bit more “drama” than last two I think and the post time jump towards the end tugged at my heart for Inessa but it’s still a guaranteed HEA.

With that, still recommend the read as it fits in nice with the first two books to close out the trilogy and it ticks off the box for one of my favorite tropes - arranged marriage🫶.

This was an arranged marriage Mafia romance and the hero was in to Dom sub relationship...... It was not like the hero was all alpha but instead this book showed how actually a bdsm relationship works and how East going it must be with love care and affection
