I recently finished reading this book — though it wasn’t originally mine, as it was purchased for my younger sister — and I am deeply grateful that I picked it up a few days ago. Every chapter moved me to tears. The tragedies and tribulations these remarkable women endured are beyond imagination.
Zainab, Ruqayyah, Fatima, and Umm Kulthum — the beloved daughters of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — have profoundly changed the way I see them. I always knew their names and cherished them, but after reading their stories, I admire them in an entirely new way.
Their lives were filled with loss, patience, and unwavering faith: watching their beloved father suffer, enduring the loss of their husbands, bearing insults and disrespect, yet responding with grace and strength. I long for the day I can meet them in Paradise, embrace them, and express my gratitude for the example they set.
They remain timeless role models for every young Muslim woman — guiding us through their strength, patience, and unshakable devotion to Allah.
