As an ARC reader for Peyton Dinwiddie I agree to review the books. This is book 3 in the Deadwood Mysteries. Just when you think it’s all figured out…we the reader are left wondering yet again. On to book 4, “Deadwood’s Creek Mystery”. I hope answers are revealed.

Another page turner with so many threads woven into a great new episode. Marcus is not only trying to find the answers to Grace's murder as well as the murder of his sister, Lona while fighting his own personal demons. Then we have Gina, the other PI working the case and Marcus not only investigating but attempting to have a personal relationship as well. Marcus knows Grace's father, Theo Bradly is involved in this whole mess as well as the attack on the Four Cloves Casino, run by his nemesis and competition. Raymond, Gina and Marcus decide to listen to what seems to be a jail informant about how things are connected, how the missing Tim can be found possibly if this informant is to be believed in exchange for being put into jail isolation. Can he be believed or is his information a set up as well? When Marcus goes on his own to Bradly's house to check out if what he learned about Tim's death he gets into trouble and thanks to Raymond and backup he is saved, but Theo Bradly and his henchmen get away! And while dealing with all of this and the desperate need to find out the truth about his sister's death, he is faced with finally finding out what really happened with the death of his father and then his mother dies. It hits him a lot harder than he expected, but Gina is with him at the funeral and helps just by being there and caring. All this while trying to chase down the bad guys. It just happens that Raymond has Bradly's nemesis in the office and he fills him in on some truths. But he too is crooked. Do they deal with one criminal to catch the other? Is it all on the level? I can't wait to see what will happen next. Poor Marcus has so much going around in his head including nightmares. Will all this together make him snap before he can solve the problems facing him? I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story.
Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down.

I love these novels, especially as sit seems like the setting is in my neck of the woods. The writing is captivating, and it is a page turner, When you pick up this book make sure you have set aside your afternoon and evening and maybe the wee hours of the night as you are not going to be able to set it down!

Marcus and Raymond are on the hunt again! And Gina is part of the team now too. She's becoming someone that'll matter to Marcus.
After Patricia- Marcus's mother-in-law has died, these two are snuggling up like teenagers on a date without permission! (Kinda like that idea-takes you back to the old days!) They meet with Raymond to more or less map out strategy..
The stunner is the abduction, torturous murder of a Bradley "rat" after being promised protection for giving up helpful information. And Then Bradley can be tied to it all and the murder of not only his own daughter Grace but of the murder of Lona (Marcus sister) all because of "wrong place,wrong time", and assumption of "knowing too much".
I was given an advanced copy of this book for an honest rating and review...And this is my honest rating and review...Can't wait for the next one!!--P/

What’s next?

“Deadwood Mansion Mystery” is the third book of the Deadwood series. It opens with Detective Marcus Lynnette getting a middle-of-the-night phone call from his brother Kennedy letting him know that their mother, Patricia, has died. Marcus is gutted, not only because he has lost his mother, but because he was unable to catch the person who murdered his sister, Lona. He wanted to give his mother the news that the murderer was imprisoned before she passed away. Providing her support during Patricia’s death has brought Marcus closer to Gina Hardaway romantically. Along with Detective Raymond, they have uncovered a web of illegal dealings with unquestionable ties to Theo Bradly and the Bradly Corporation, and Bradly’s enemy offers his assistance. However, they remain unable to prove any of the stories or findings.
Another great transition to pick up the Deadwood characters and plot where they left off in Book Two. Peyton Dinwiddie knows how to write excellent police suspense, giving each book a cliffhanger to encourage his audience to keep reading. There was a bit of repetition in a couple of the chapters; however, Dinwiddie’s writing remains fast-paced, interesting, engaging, real. I’m very much looking forward to Book Four.

A few plot twists dropping in the third of the series but still a bit skimpy for my tastes. Needed some filler. All-in-all, a very easy read, but you must read the first two in the series.They are not stand-alones.

Marcus gets closer to the person who killed his sister. The mystery continues as Marcus and Raymond try to gather evidence against Theo. They have no proof that points to anyone in particular. I would like to see the characters fleshed out a little more, but overall a good story. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

An easy, exciting story to read plus it has everything one looks for in a good mystery. Be sure to read books 1 & 2 in order to be completely familiar with book 3 and the characters involved. I received this as an ARC and this is my honest review.

PI Marcus Lynette, PI Gina and policeman and friend, Raymond r finally getting clues and mysteries solved! There is plenty of action in this installment! So far this has been my favorite book in the series!

Who killed Leona and Grace Bradly and why??? AND whose body is in that bag??? keep going!!! I enjoyed this story and recommended the books.
