Koh Tanaka is broken. Something inside of him has cracked. Like glass, it rattles in the hollows of his being. At the age of 17, his spacefaring life has been a slurry of hurt, loss, and military propaganda.
A fresh wound pushes Koh to steal a war machine known as a Structure — a pilotable, bipedal tank. His shortsighted plot for revenge quickly falls to pieces, and it isn’t long before he’s taken prisoner and blackmailed into a system spanning heist by mercenaries. They have no allegiances. They have no honor.
Making matters worse, the potent drugs required to pilot the Structure begin to deteriorate his mental health. Linking with the machine is tearing open old scars and driving Koh into acts of violence he wished he wasn’t capable of.
Koh must manage his trauma, his rage, and his impulses, or be exposed as the traitor he is.
